"Bye guys." I hugged my teammates as they walked up the bus steps to head back home. "You be careful okay?" Sugawara said as we pulled apart from our hug. "Always am. I'll see you guys at school on Monday." I stepped back and waved as the bus pulled away going down the road.

"Hey Y/N!" I turned around to see Yamamoto standing by the gym doors, I jogged over to him and stopped, "What's up?" He pointed behind him back into the gym, "You left your shoes in the locker room." I quirked an eyebrow and looked down to my socked feet. "Oh! Thank you Moto." I walked past him as he left to go home. I walked in the gym seeing Kenma sitting up against the back wall playing on his switch.

"Kenma?" He looked up at me and then back to his game, "Oh Y/N, Hey." I looked around the gym, "Where's Kuroo? I thought you guys left already?"

"He's talking to the Coach I think."

"Oh okay. Well Imma grab my shoes from the locker room. Can I walk with you guys to the train station? I have to go visit someone." Kenma shrugged his shoulders as he harshly pushed the buttons on his switch, "Sure. I don't care." I nodded my head and walked out of the gym down the hall to the locker room. I was too focused on finding my shoes when a low chuckle behind me made me squeak in surprise making me drop my shoes.

"I didn't expect to see you here Chibi- Chan. Trying to spy on me? Hmm?" I whipped my head around to see a freshly showered Kuroo standing before me.

I unintentionally scanned down his still wet bare torso, and down to his happy trail. When my eyes met the band of his boxer briefs I snapped my eyes back to his. "N-no. Don't flatter yourself." I picked my shoes up back up, "I came for my shoes. You just so~ happened to be here half naked and wet." He smirked and cocked his head to one side, "Is that so?" I peered up at him through my eyelashes, "Yep." I dramatically popped the 'p' sound. He advanced on me making me walk backwards until my back hit a set of lockers. He placed a hand next to my head and leaned in close to my face as he towered over me.

"Well I think since I caught you peepin', I get a kiss for my troubles." Flashing a sinful smirk I took a small step forward and leaned up barley pressing my lips to his and then backed away. "Troubles repaid." He licked his lips and hummed. "I think you can do better than that Y/N." His voice was low leaning down more letting our lips fully connect. He exhaled loudly through his nose and held onto my hip swiping the pad of his thumb over the bare skin under my white shirt.

I gently pushed against his chest breaking our kiss. I bit my lower lip and grinned, "There's your kiss."

"It was nice while it lasted. I was hoping to slip you a little tongue." He tucked a strand of hand behind my ear, "If you'd like to try again, I'd be more than happy too." It was my turn to chuckle through my nose, "Hmm as temping as that is, I have a previous engagement."

"Oh? With who?"

I kneeled down putting my shoes on, "My siblings at Yoonwon Hospital." He peered down at me as I tied my shoes. "Since your down there...mind helping me out? I can't stop watching that video of your dancing in that cheerleading uniform." He cupped my chin making me look him in his eyes as he ran his thumb over my bottom lip. I glanced at his crotch and then back to his eyes, "Take me on a date later and I might think about it." I slowly stood up trailing my hand up from his knee, ghosting over his semi hard erection, and up to his face where I patted it before ducking under his arm and walking to the door. I stopped craning my neck to look at him, "Don't take too long in here, me and Kenma will be waiting." I threw Kuroo a wink and left the locker room.

I walked back into the gym sitting next to Kenma, pulling my own switch out of my bag. "You play Animal Crossing?"

He looked at me and had a barley there smile on his face, "Yes."

"Can I see your Island?"

"I'll show you mine if you show me yours first." A light pink color dusted over his cheeks as he quickly looked away from me back to his screen. I loaded up Animal Crossing and gave Kenma my Dodo code so he could come to my island.

Me and Kenma played around each other's islands and even shared a few pictures together before Kuroo came waltzing in the gym in his school uniform. "I see you made a new friend Kenma."

Kenma shrugged his shoulders blushing, "Y/N's cool I guess. She plays Animal Crossing so..." I grinned as I stood up shoving my switch into my gym bag and threw it over my shoulder. "Since I don't know my way around here I'm following you guys to the train station." Kuroo cocked his head to the side, "I think you just want to spend more time with us."

I rolled my eyes and began to walk ahead, "Whatever helps you sleep at night Kuroo." I heard him laugh as they caught up to me, "You sure have a smart mouth."

"I think you've found your rival Kuroo." Kenma joked in his bored voice, I giggled waving my hand around, "Not really. My brain and mouth don't communicate very well."

"I highly doubt that."

If I keep rolling my eyes they are gonna pop outta my head. "So is my stop before yours or after?" I asked pulling up my google maps looking up Yoonwon Hospital. "Hmm, before I think."

I let out a sigh of relief, "Oh thank God, I didn't want to be left on a train all alone in a place I don't know."

"We wouldn't let that happen. We would've stayed with you of we had to." I looked up at Kuroo with wide puppy dog eyes, "Really? You really would have?" Kuroo looked surprised at me and then gave me a goofy smile, blush dusting his face. "Well yeah. Right Kenma?"

"Mmhmm."

I smiled brightly and laughed, "That's a relief. You guys aren't total assholes."

"Wait what? Assholes?" Kuroo questioned reaching into his pocket pulling out his wallet for his train card. Me doing the same, "I said what I said." I swiped my card to get through the turnstiles and waited for the two Nekoma boys.

The ride on the train wasn't bad, Kenma sat next to me, us being squished together by the guy next to him. Kuroo stood in front of me shiedling me from gods knows what. We three stayed on our phones and even chatted a bit, but with the train cart being so noisy it was hard to hear. I exchanged numbers with Kuroo and Kenma before my stop arrived.

"Be careful Y/N, text me if you need anything while you're here." Kuroo gave me a side hug and Kenma waved bye to me as I stepped off of the train. I turned to wave at them as the train began to slowly move down the tracks until it was gone. I sighed and began to walk to the steps to led up to the streets a above.

The walk to the hospital was long, people here didn't pay attention to where they were walking and would bump into me or grumble as they strode past me as I walked slowly to watch for the streets signs. I finally found the hospital and walked in heading straight for the elevator and pressed the button for the 8th floor.

The elevator doors opened on the 8th floor and I stepped out walking down the hallway looking at all the door numbers until I found room 847. I held onto the door handle and took a huge deep breath. I closed my eyes and slowly opened the door.

The room was dimly lit, only a side table lamp was on. The only sounds were the beeping of Kai's heart monitor and his oxygen machine. I sat my bag by the wall and walked up to his bed and brushed some of his white hair out of his face. He was paler than when I last saw him. His oxygen mask sat loosely on his face, he looked peaceful sleeping. I pulled the chair up to his bed and sat down in it as I played with his hair.

Me and Kai have always been close to one another. He's always been a doting brother to me growing up, even after he got sick. He'd help me with my school work, taught me how to play volleyball and was even there when my ex boyfriend Oikawa Toru broke up with me when I was a first year.

His eyes fluttered open, he smiled weakly at me when his grey eyes found mine. "Well hello sleeping beauty." I whispered smiling back at him. "I didn't wake you did I?" He shook his head 'no' "I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd stop by to see you." He nuzzled his head into my hand as a sign of 'Thanks'. His eyes landed on my Volleyball track jacket and he squinted, "You made...the team?" His voice was low and hoarse. "Yep. I just left a practice match with Nekoma High." His eyebrows rose high on his forehead, "We lost just about all of them. Their setter Kenma, is pretty damn good, and their Captain Kuroo isn't too bad either." I chuckled as I remembered that I got hit in the face, "Their wing spiker Yamamoto actually hit me in the face with the ball. I did a backflip too, shit hurt really bad. But like you taught me, the game never stops so I got right back up."

"Wait...those are boys names..." I looked anywhere else that wasn't his eyes, "Y/N..? Did you join the boys team?" I shrugged my shoulders, "Maybe~ The girls team was full and besides....the girls Captain doesn't like me very much." Kai gave me a confused look, "Why?"

"Long story. Nothing to worry about. Less about me and more about you. How've you been? I talked to Zak last night and he said you are imprisoned here for all eternity, for the end of time." Kai chuckled at me sliding down his oxygen mask, "Yeah sucks right? I can't even take a shit without a nurse having to walk in on me." I laughed throwing my head back. "Your shits smell horrible too, oh those poor women."

"And men. Some are guys too, you sexist." I smacked Kai's chest softly, "I am not, you better take that back before I put a kink in your oxygen line." He put his hands up in fake surrender, "Aye aye aye, let's not do that. I take it back." He reached over pressing a button on the side of his bed to raise it up so he can sit up. "Zak should be back soon, he went to his apartment to grab some more clothes I think."

I stretched out my arms letting my back pop before I groaned. "You tired?" Kai asked putting his mask back on, "Kinda. We did a lot of practice games today." He scooted over and patted the space next to him, "Lay down. I'll wake you up when Zak gets here." I beamed at him crawling onto the bed and cuddling into his side, he put an arm around my shoulders and laid my head on his chest. I've missed Kai so much, everyday I wake up I'm in constant fear that I'll get a phone call that he died in his sleep or something. Kai began to humm a song I didn't recognize as I drifted off to sleep.

"Hey Kai-Y/N?!"

"Shhhhut your mouth or you'll wake her up you dunce."

"D-dunce?! Why you- Don't make me cut your L-Vad wire."

"What's with you and her threatening to kill me?"

I giggled at their banter, "It's either us, or your shitty lungs, which to you prefer?" I joked opening my eyes. "Good to see you here Tiny." Zak said smiling down at me from the foot of the bed. "Wish I could say the same." I retorted as I sat up, Kai started to choke on his oxygen as he howled out in laughter. Zak's eyebrow twitched in annoyance at me, "You sure have grown to be a smartass." I shot finger guns at him and winked, "Learned from the best." Zak walked up to me grabbing both sides of my face and squeezed, squishing my face. "Damn straight ya shorty." He let go of my face and pulled me into a hug, "Even though you are a major pain in my ass, I've missed you." We pulled apart, "How did your game with Nekoma go?"

I groaned loudly run a hand through my hair, "It sucked. We lost every game but one. I also had to dance in a Nekoma cheerleading uniform because me and the Captain Kuroo made a bet." Zak started laughing while holding onto his stomach, "You-you made a bet-knowing you have the worst luck in the world?!" I took my shoe off and hurled it at Zak's head which he dodged, "Keep laughing and imma come over there and take out your ankles."

"So violent Tiny. Is it because your so small that your anger has no where to escape from?"

"That's it!" I jumped from Kai's bed latching onto Zak's back and started beating him in the head, "You bastard! Take it back!"

"Hey! Hey! Get off of me you damn spider monkey!"

"You're so mean to me!!"

"HEY! Cut the shit!!" Kai hollered.

I stopped hitting Zak and stared wide eyed at my gentle older brother, "Fine." I hit Zak one more time before jumping off of his back and folded my arms over my chest, "Zak's still a jerk."

"Says you! You were just hitting me in the head!"

I glared at him, "I was only making sure your last remaining brain cell was awake you overgrown carrot!"

Kai scrunched his face up, "Carrot...?"

"Better an overgrown carrot than a undergrown bean stalk!"

"Bean stalk...?"

I dramatically gasped at Zak, "See, this is why you're dead ass a giraffe and nobody likes you."

Zak clenched at his heart and stumbled back like I hit, "That hurts Tiny. Right in here..."

"Good. Maybe your Grinch heart will grow in size."

It was quiet and then all three of us started to howl out in laughter. "You never change do you Tiny?" Zak hugged me from the side, "Nope. I miss our insult fights." Zak patted my shoulder and walked over to Kai checking all of his machines, "Well I'm just a phone call away ya know?"

"I know. I'm just so busy with school and now volleyball."

"How's Daichi these days?"

My heart clenched a bit, I was still kind of hurt about the whole Yui thing. Yeah I'm gonna miss the sex with Daichi, but at least I have him back as a friend. "He's fine. Got himself a girlfriend-"

"Really? I thought you guys would've started dating. Hmm." Zak shrugged his shoulders sitting down on the couch by the window.

"Eh, we talked about it, but we both agreed that a relationship between us wouldn't work out. We are just really close friends."

We talked the rest of the day and all through the night and we'll into this morning. I help give Kai his shots and even got to help him walk around the hospital floor. But sadly I had to leave today, Shiko had texted me saying Daichi and Sugawara came by the house worried about me because I wasn't answering my phone, and to also tell me we had a team meeting this afternoon.

I said goodbye to my brothers and left the hospital. I was going to go straight to the train station but I passed by a mcdonald's and decided to stop and get something to eat. My ordered my food and waited for them to call my number. I pulled out my phone and scrolled through my social media, Kuroo and Kenma had added me on Instagram and snapchat, I smiled as I accepted their requests. It sucked that my new friends lives so far away but that doesn't mean we can't hang out from time to time.

My number was called so I got up and got my tray and sat back down to begin eating. I was lost in eating my fries when I felt eyes on me. I looked to my left and saw Kuroo staring at me with another guy with grey and black hair next to him a few seats down from me

They both had a look of surprise on their faces, "Y/N?" Kuroo asked with wide eyes. I smiled and waved, "Hiya Kuroo." He smiled and nudged the guy next to him, "Dude this is the girl I was telling you about."

"Oh yeah! Hey! I'm Bokuto Kōtarō, Third year at Fukurodani Academy." His smile was wide and white, he must take great care of his teeth. His golden eyes is what captivated me though, they were like an owl.

"Nice to meet you, I'm L/N Y/N, Third Year and Karasuno High School. You know I almost went to Fukurodani, but opted out."

"Aw no way! For real?! Damn it." I laughed at him as Kuroo patted his back, "You guys coming from practice Kuroo?"

He was chewing on a bite of his burger but nodded his head. "Mmhmm." He then swallowed, "Yeah we finished up early. Supposed to meet Kenma and Akaashi at the arcade after we eat."

"You wanna come too Y/N?" Bokuto asked taking a sip of his drink, hopefulness swimming in his eyes. I checked my phone looking at the text Daichi sent,

Daichi:
Meeting at 5pm

It was only 10am...I looked back up at the two men as they waited for my response, "Yeah, I'd love to go."
