Here we are! The last award. I think I joined it while waiting for the Elganza, Inc. Awards to begin judging. And in keeping with the theme from all the awards I judged, this one has had its problems, too. Big problems. Like, the host, Janefanfics_, lost her account problems. I've been in private communication with her since it happened, and she's been trying to get her account back, but so far, no luck. And since it's been this long, I don't know that she will get it back. Which is very sad.

This was an interesting award because the categories were not genres, but specific aspects of books, like emotional exploration and descriptive detail. So, SPAG didn't play a huge role in the scores, and books that normally wouldn't have won in an overall category could do very well in this award. It was a nice way to identify areas where authors excel in their writing and encourage them in those areas, and I'm all about encouragement, so I really enjoyed it.

As with the Elganza, Inc. Awards, we had to read each book in its entirety. Each category had two judges, and I judged Brushstrokes of Feelings, Masculine Muse, and Vivid Imagery. The host had announced results for a couple of categories before the awards went poof, so I'll include those where known.

01/15/2025: Look at all the repeat offenders. First, there's Hot-Hearted, which is also in my Mystery category and the Mystery category in the Elganza, Inc. Awards; second, there's Chasing Shadows, which was entered in both Masculine Muse and Vivid Imagery; and third, On the Land, In the Sea is also in my Fantasy category. Also, thanks to a snafu with the rubrics, I judged Chasing Shadows not twice, but three times, and My Serene Lavender and Crime and Punishment got double-judged. Anyway...ready for some results? 😊
