This award by TheHappyWriters is one I picked up while I was waiting for judging to begin with the Elganza, Inc. Awards. I don't recall if I signed up to judge, or if someone approached me asking me to judge, but whatever the case, the award had already been running for a long time with very little progress made. And it's still ongoing. I don't know the behind-the-scenes stuff, but I'm guessing the problem is, as usual, judges disappearing.

I had the Harry Potter category in this round-based award. For round one, I had to judge the intro stuff (title, cover, blurb, first chapter). The top eight advanced to round two, where I read up to chapter five. Then, the top five advanced to round three, where I read up to chapter 10. The top three advanced to the final round, where I read the rest of each book.

There are also Special Awards, and from my understanding, each judge is supposed to nominate books from their category for these, and the host will announce all Special Awards at the end of the award, after all results are out. Whenever that happens. I don't know if someone is judging the nominations and selecting only one as the winner for each award, or if all nominated books win. But since I judged this back in August 2024 and results still aren't out for most of the other categories, I made the decision to add my Special Award nominations to those books' reviews.
