I woke up to my mom knocking on my door. I got up to open the door since I locked it last night. I opened to see my mom holding breakfast for me on a tray. She still looked pissed from yesterday. I smiled nervously as I took the tray from her arms to set on my desk.

"How are you feeling honey?" My mom asked me after I set the tray down. I turned to her seeing that she was waiting for an answer. My mom was an impatient person most times.

"I'm fine mom, just a little tired from being in a coma for 2 months." I answered as I hugged her. She was surprised for a second before she hugged back. I guess it was because I don't hug people that much. I try to keep a distance from people.

"Okay, well I better let you get ready for school. Are you sure you're up for it?" She asked. I guess even though she doesn't like what I do as a career, she still cares that I'm okay.

"Yes, Mom. I've been out of school long enough as it is. I don't want any more make-up work piling up." One she left, I started to get dressed. I decided to wear a red crop top, ripped black jeans, and white converses. I got my phone, backpack, headphones, and car keys and headed down the stairs. I saw my dad was home and decided to give him a hug before I left. I snuck up behind him and wrapped my arms around him. He turned around and hugged me real quick so I could get to school. I waved them goodbye and left the house.

Once I got to the school, I parked my car in its usual parking spot. I got out to get tackled to the ground by Thomas and Courtney. I laughed as the got up to help me up.

"Nice to see you guys too." I said as Thomas leaned down to kiss me.

"I'm just glad to see you're okay." Courtney yelled as she hugged me tight. I hugged her back just as tight because I really did miss them. We pulled away only for me to see Courtney pull a sour face.

"What's with the face Court?" I asked. She looked at me then at Thomas. After about a minute, she turns back to me and sighs.

"Jackie has been spreading rumor for the past 2 months."

"Yea what about it, doesn't she always spread rumors."

"That's not the only thing." Thomas said then looked down.

"What happened?" I said in a demanding tone. They flinched because when I get like this, there is no stopping me.

"She kissed me twice while you were in your coma, but I pushed her away right after." He said still looking down.

"The rumor was that you broke up with Thomas and moved away. Then she started saying that Thomas and she were dating." Courtney said while looking away. I was about to March in there when Thomas grabbed my arm. I looked back at his when started saying something.

"I also want to tell you that when anyone asked this, I said her rumor wasn't true. People do think you moved away though." After he said that he let me go because there was no point in stopping me. I marched through the school with Thomas and Courtney behind me. I could hear everyone gasp seeing me because they thought I moved away.

Once I saw Jackie in the hallway talking to her snobby friends, I picked up my speed. When I got to her I stopped and tapped on her shoulder. She turned around only to get punched in the face by me. She fell to the ground from the force I put in my punch. She looked up and saw me standing there looking really mad. She paled a little bit because not a lot of people have seen me mad.

"Well look who is back, I thought you moved." She said with her sassy attitude. The more she spoke the more pissed I got.

"I didn't move you idiot, I was in the hospital because I got stabbed. The only reason I wasn't here for the past two months is because I was in a coma." After I finished saying that, everyone gasped because they didn't know I was in the hospital. Jackie's face turned shocked but then went back to her sassy self.

"Wow now you are grasping for attention." She said as she flipped her hair.

"You mean how you said you and Thomas were dating but you weren't?" She glared at me. I know she hates me and everything but that doesn't give her the right to steal my man.

"You just can't handle the fact that you're not as popular as me." Is that what she thinks this is about? If it is then she really is stupid.

"Well I would rather have real friends and people who trust me fully than be a snobby brat like you. I don't depend on how much people like me like you do."

"You don't know what you're talking about Crowley." I rolled my eyes because I was done with her threats.

"Your threats don't bother me Reese."

"Well can't help that's your dumb and weak." Weak. WEAK! I'll show her weak. I went to jump her but Thomas and Courtney held me back. I struggled to get out of their grip but to no avail. I stopped struggling after a minute.

"Jackie you need to back off." Thomas said as I calmed down.

"Why we are meant to be together. Like the two most popular are supposed to be together." She said which got me mad. Thomas rubbed my arm in reassurance that told me he's got this.

"I don't like you like that Jackie. Popular kids don't have to date each other. I think you should just move on." Right after that she scoffed and walked away. I really wanted to jump her but figured that since she walked away, it wasn't worth it.

Thomas and Courtney finally released me from their hold. I dusted off myself. That's when everyone asked me if I was okay. I assured them that I was fine and back to full health. Once everyone was satisfied with my answers, they left to go to class. I quickly got my stuff from my locker and headed to class. The rest of the day I spend with Thomas and Courtney explaining to the teachers why I was out. I guess my parents only told the principal.

After school ended, I said goodbye to my friends so I could head to work. The drive there was boring. It was me just listening to my favorite country music. I pulled into the parking lot just to see Jack waiting for me at the entrance. The building was deep in the woods where no one can see it. I got out of the car and walked up to him.

"Hey Jack what does the boss want to see us about?"

"I don't know but it must be important." He said as we started walking inside. Every one said they were happy to see me okay. We walked up the stairs that lead to the boss's office. It was a very steep set of stairs but we were used to it. I knocked on the door only to hear a bang and a yell that said 'Just a second'. After a minute, the door opened to reveal Mr. Sam.

"You needed to talk to us?" I asked kind of skeptical because of the bang.

"Yes, come in you two." He said as we walked inside. I looked to see his papers everywhere and his chair knocked down. He must have tripped when he heard the knock.

"I called you two here because I have a mission for you. This mission will take up to 2 months because of who the target is. He is very dangerous so I needed to send my best team. Do you have any questions?" he asked while handing me a folder. I looked inside to see who it was.  Once I saw the face, I closed the folder.

"No we don't. Jack let's get our stuff so we can get going."

"Coming!" He yelled. He closed the door behind us and followed me down the stairs.

"So who is our target?" I handed him the folder. He paled when he saw who it was. Once we were to our little office area, he started freaking out.

"Is he serious? That is the most dangerous person anyone has been up against. Every team to confront this person has never made it back alive. There is no way we are going to do this right." He said as he was about to start hyperventilating. I went over to him and told him to breathe. After like 5 minutes, he was finally able to breathe normally, which was a good sign.

"We have to, we are the best team. Plus if we succeed at this mission, we will be known as the best team of all time."

"Okay, but I don't want to worry Diana more than we already do."

"I understand but I'm in the same position you are in. How am I going to break this to my parents and friends? I mean I just got out of the hospital."

"I guess we will have to think of a way." Jack said as he put his hand on my arm. He was always so supportive. He and Diana are like family. I couldn't forgive myself if something were to happen to either to them.

"Well I'll see you tomorrow, you need to pack your stuff." I said as I waved goodbye to him. I'm going to break the news to my family tomorrow. Hopefully this mission will be a success.
