It was the day after Esperanza's birthday, so March 15th more precisely, exactly seven o'clock in the morning, and Dr Kozak was sitting down in his laboratory, neatly although messily handwriting his suicidal thoughts and how to prevent his thoughts from taking over his life.

It was when Dr Kozak was least expecting it that he heard a knocking sound at his laboratory door, so when he heard that, he turned around on his spinning chair slowly, not really saying anything at first.

"Who is it?!" Dr Kozak bellowed through his laboratory door. He was low key stressed out at the moment, he wouldn't eat or sleep because he was still "punishing" himself for being a terrible person.

"It's K, MG, E and CR," the person replied.

It was hard to tell and contemplate whether the person that had said that was a girl or a boy, or maybe the answer was downright obvious but Dr Kozak didn't know that because he felt as though his hearing was playing mind games with him or he was hallucinating.

"K, MG, E and CR?" Dr Kozak repeated, blinking continuously from the other side of his laboratory.

"Kieran, Maria Grace, Esperanza and Cynthia Rose," Kieran corrected him, shouting back as loudly as possible so that Dr Kozak could hear him properly.

"Well, yeah, I knew what your names stood for but I'm just wondering what you guys are doing at my laboratory door at seven o'clock in the morning."

"We really have to talk to you," Maria Grace explained. "Please open the door for us."

In all honesty, Dr Kozak didn't really want to however still reluctantly opened the door anyway and he did this by using his telekinesis to open the door.

When and after he did that, that was when all four of them headed inside, Dr Kozak's eyes just fixed on them all the way, although mainly Anastasia because after all, she looked the prettiest.

As usual.

"So what brings you guys here?" Dr Kozak wanted to know, staring at each of them in the face for about three seconds before looking away in case his eyes had turned purple again.

"You sound really annoyed," Cynthia Rose replied.

"No I'm not annoyed. Just curious. Why are you guys up so early? Usually all of you would be begging me to let you sleep for an extra three hours when I wake you up at nine o'clock."

No one replied to what Dr Kozak had said, instead all of them just walked closer to him and sat down right in front of him, Dr Kozak silently watching them all the way.

Esperanza: Your eyes are glowing purple.

Dr Kozak: So I noticed.

Dr Kozak then looked away then back again not saying anything.

Dr Kozak: So what brings you guys here for like the second time?

Kieran: *standing up* Dr Kozak we have a surprise for you.

Dr Kozak: *raises his eyebrows up in bewilderment* Surprise?

Then they all nodded at exactly the same time.

Dr Kozak: Why a surprise? *kind of nervously laughing* It's not my birthday! It's nowhere near my birthday actually. You've still got over three more months!

Maria Grace: Doesn't need to be, sir.

Dr Kozak: So what's the surprise then?

Kieran: Something me and the girls planned ourselves.

Dr Kozak: "You and the girls" haha. Okay... so what is it then?

That was when Maria Grace and Cynthia Rose stood up to go and get something, giving it to Dr Kozak.

What they got him overall was really small, Dr Kozak looking a bit confused when he saw it- it was just a mini piece of purple coloured paper.

Dr Kozak: I'm really confused, what is this?

Cynthia Rose: Press that razzmatazz coloured button. *indicates razzmatazz coloured button on the purple piece of paper*

So Dr Kozak listened to Cynthia and he pressed it. As soon as he pressed it, it was revealed that the purple piece of paper was actually a massive card that was about a metre tall, with Kieran's handwriting written on it.

What Kieran's writing at the front of the card had said?

Or more specifically:

In all lowercase letters as well, just like that.

Dr Kozak gasped in surprise, tears kind of filling his eyes when he saw what they had done for him.

Dr Kozak: Guys! I don't deserve this! Any of this.

Esperanza: You deserve every moment of it. Open the card.

So Dr Kozak opened it, and when he opened it, he could see that the card had about twenty pages of a lot of people writing nice things about him.

Dr Kozak: Guys! This is the sweetest thing that anyone has ever done for me!

Maria Grace: You're welcome.

Dr Kozak: *flicking through each and every one of the pages, and although he's not actually reading anything he's still helplessly smiling and crying tears of joy* How many people did you get to sign this?!

Cynthia Rose: Well.. there are 37,000 people in KOZAHKISTAN HEADQUARTERS..

Kieran: And we got 20,000 people to sign it. The people that don't hate you anyway.

Dr Kozak: What? How?!

Maria Grace: Esperanza bribed them with birthday cake.

Kieran: Read it, Dr Kozak.

Cynthia Rose: Yeah, go to the first page and read everything that's been written about you.

So Dr Kozak did just that. He cautiously went back to the first page of the card, reading everything that everyone had written for him.

It was a shame that a few of them were anonymous though. Dr Kozak started reading Kieran, Esperanza, Maria Grace and Cynthia Rose's ones first.

Dr Kozak...

Esperanza and I have known you for a decade now, and we just wanted to say that we love you, and that you've been one of the greatest and funnest people that we've ever met! you're amazing, please don't commit suicide, you'll regret it and we'd all feel really horrible if you did x

Dr Kozak smiled.

"Thank you so much, Maria Grace and Esperanza!" He echoed, hugging both of them at the same time when he had finished reading their message.

Cynthia Rose: Read mine and Kieran's.

Dr Kozak: *laughs* I was going to anyway.

Dr Kozak.

Okay so we've had a few ups and downs, mainly downs, but you've always helped me to stay strong and that's what I admire the most about you.

Okay so sure we both might be jealous of each other, and sure I haven't known you as much as Maria Grace and Esperanza have, but overall knowing you has been great, you inspire me a lot and I admire your superpowers!

Dr Kozak: Kieran your handwriting is so neat!

Kieran: You've said that like 50 times already but thank you. It really means a lot coming from you.

Dr Kozak: But it's true. Thank you so much!
Then next he hugged Kieran, Kieran also claiming that he had another surprise for Dr Kozak, which he showed him on a piece of paper.

His handwriting had kind of changed throughout time, but it was still really neat nonetheless.

Dr Kozak: I love it! Thank you, Kieran!

Kieran: You're welcome.

Next Dr Kozak read Cynthia Rose's.

Dr Kozak.

I know that you and my mother were the worst of enemies, but despite that I've always wanted to let you know that you've been my inspiration since day one, and when I finally got to meet you in real life, that made me the luckiest girl alive. You're amazing, I love you.

Cynthia Rose.

Dr Kozak: I love you too, Cynthia. Thank you guys all so much!

Then he hugged Cynthia really tightly before crying tears of joy even more.

Dr Kozak: Guys I don't deserve any of this though.

All the kids: Of course you do!

Dr Kozak: But... I've been so condescending to you guys.

Kieran: No you haven't.

Dr Kozak just stared at him.

Kieran: Wait. What does the word condescending mean?

Dr Kozak: Like hostile. Malevolent. Wicked. Stuck up. Acting like I'm more superior than you guys and everything.

Esperanza: You're not any of those things, Dr Kozak.

Dr Kozak: Well I might not be now but I certainly have been in the past. Villainous people like me don't deserve something like this guys.

Maria Grace: Then stop thinking about the past then! Problem solved.

Dr Kozak: But honestly. Kieran, I've been treating you like dirt recently. Esperanza, I said I couldn't tolerate you, and was rude to you, even on your birthday. Maria Grace, I never payed attention to you in the past, and Cynthia Rose... well I never really did anything bad to you but your mother and I hated each other a lot.

Kieran: So what? We've made up. We've all made up.

Dr Kozak: I just don't feel like I deserve any of this though!

Cynthia Rose: Keep on reading. You'll smile.

So Dr Kozak did, and he turned to the next page.

I honestly don't know where to begin. I could write a paragraph about you. No, screw it, an a million word essay to show you what an amazing friend you've been to me.

We've known each other since we were seven or eight. We're in our 30s now. I just can't even say how much time flies when I'm with you! You're an amazing person, you've always been there for me, and looked out for me.

Dr Kozak didn't reply. Just kept on reading. He honestly couldn't stop smiling.

Then he gasped in surprise.

Dr Kozak: Esperanza!

Esperanza: Yeah?

Dr Kozak: You have a sister?

Esperanza: Yeah. Didn't I tell you?

Dr Kozak: No! How do I not know this, and I've know you for ten years.

Maria Grace: Yeah I thought you only had seven brothers.

Esperanza: Oh no. And a sister. I just don't talk about her as much because she's not as interesting as the others. Her name is Annabelle and she's 11, in case any of you are wondering.

Dr Kozak: Thank you so much guys... I love you....
All the kids: And we love you too.

Dr Kozak: Oh And that reminds me... *gives each of them money* Here's your £700 I promised you all... yes even you Cynthia Rose.

He handed each of the money to them, and then they all hugged each other one more time, before taking a group photograph and laughing.

And while they were doing that, all the children got thinking.

That maybe they were wrong.

That maybe they didn't see it at all.

That maybe life was just tricking them.

And that maybe...

Being a spy wasn't so bad after all.
