Chapter 84- Well, That Was Unnecessary & Totally Uncalled For!

Esperanza had completely had enough.
For some unknown reason, Kieran and the person voicing the doorbell had been talking for a straight up ten minutes.
They were talking about miscellaneous things, and soon after Esperanza realised something, so therefore she said it.
"Wait hang on a second," Esperanza told Kieran, tapping him frantically. "Going back to before. Are you trying to say that Dr Kozak is allergic to me?"
"Well yeah. He might as well be. You get uglier everyday Esperanza." Kieran had lied helplessly.
Esperanza rolled her eyes in disbelief, then to finish Kieran and the doorbell's conversation as soon as possible, she cleared her throat.
"Guys, we need to go," Esperanza hollered at both of them really loudly. "Are you going to let us in or not?"
"Good question. Let me think about it."
No one said anything after that as the person voicing the doorbell was thinking about whether to let Kieran and Esperanza in or not.
Esperanza soon got so ticked off that she couldn't really do anything but to scream at the person voicing the doorbell, and kick the door continuously because she was so enraged.
"You know what? You guys want to go inside so badly? Then I'll let you guys in."
"Thank you!" Esperanza replied annoyingly, although it had turned out that both Esperanza and Kieran had gotten their hopes up because the person voicing the doorbell did not let them in, at all.
Instead, Kieran and Esperanza had soon found themselves going down somewhere, this reason being because the welcome mat that was located right in front of DIE ANNA INCORPORATED was actually a booby trap for unwelcome visitors.
Kieran and Esperanza found themselves falling downwards, landing head first onto the floor, Kieran first, then Esperanza straight afterwards.
Kieran groaned as he realised that Esperanza was right on top of him, and as soon as they had both gotten up, they were actually kind of astonished on where the hell the booby trap had actually taken them.
"Whoa.... Where the heck are we?"
This was coming from Esperanza, in slight amazement. She was guessing that the place must have been some basement or something, although it didn't really seem like it.
The basement itself was purple and blue all around, with dissimilar pictures of Diana Valentine and Cynthia Rose filling everywhere.
Well, truth be told the ceiling was a lavender colour whilst the floor itself was turquoise, after all, it was harder to see colours in the dark.
There was no set wallpaper whatsoever, as in, the wallpaper wasn't patterned at all, it was just plain lavender and turquoise, just like that, with no type of decoration on it.
The basement itself was technically a nightclub, Kieran assuming this because there seemed to have been an one hundred year old disco ball located towards the middle, fluorescent colours infesting it.
"Thanks a lot, Esperanza, if it wasn't for you then we might not have been in this godforsaken situation in the first place," Kieran muttered lividly, as soon as he got up and brushed off all of the dust from his trousers.
"If it wasn't for you and the doorbell then we wouldn't have been wasting time right now!" Esperanza shouted back, looking at Kieran who seemed to have had his eyes completely engrossed on his yellow iPhone.
"See? You're not even listening!"
Kieran looked up at her, dropping what he was doing, which was halfway between texting someone back.
"I was listening actually. Sorry. Doctor Kozak just sent me a text message."
"Good news or bad news?" Esperanza wanted to know, coming closer to Kieran's phone.
"Good. In fact not good. Really good. It involves both of us."
"Well can you read what he sent you out loud instead of in your head?"
Kieran shook his head.
"Why though? It's kind of long."
Esperanza didn't reply, was just really thinking something.
"Hang on. How comes he sent you a text message and not me, if it involves both of us?"
Kieran didn't say anything, just stared at her for a long long time, thinking something.
Hmmm... Maybe because I use my phone a lot more than you do, Esperanza? Gosh. I don't know... I wish I did.
But he didn't say that out loud. Of course he didn't. The way in which he had thought that sounded quite rude so Kieran would have probably and unintentionally have said it in a rude way too, come to think of it.
"You know what, just read it for yourself." Kieran commanded to her, handing Esperanza his yellow iPhone. "Oh. And don't go off of my text conversation with Dr Kozak."
Esperanza didn't say anything, as she was reading what Dr Kozak had sent Kieran in her head.
Hey Kieran.
Guess what?... I've got news for both you and Esperanza.
Basically, because Esperanza got hit by a car, and apparently Diana got her daughter Cynthia Rose to pretend to be invisible and make you fall over Esperanza (true story! She told me via video chat like an hour ago), you guys have pretty much got extra time to complete the mission.
You were originally supposed to finish the mission at five o'clock am but once again the time had been extended and postponed. You finish at seven now. Lucky you, that's about two hours from now.
By the way, if anything bad happens, I can't extend the time again, you'll just have to stick with the time you've got. Anyway, I've got to go.
I would have sent Esperanza this text message but I wasn't bothered enough to change all the Anastasia's to 'you' and you use your phone way more than she does.
Anyway. Bye!!
-Demetrius xxxx
Then another message proceeded that straight afterwards.
By the way, those Xs were not me, you know I don't put Xs at the end of my text messages, that was discreetly Ezekiel who accidentally on purpose dropped my phone and read this text message when I wasn't paying attention! Bye!
Then another one after that....
This is Ezekiel now. Good luck in your mission! Demetrius misses you guys hahaha.
Esperanza handed Kieran back his phone, kind of scowling at what both Dr Kozak and Ezekiel had sent him.
"Kieran he didn't send that just now, he sent that like ten minutes ago," Esperanza corrected him.
"Oh. Guess I didn't get notified then. I forgot my phone was on do not disturb mode, sorry."
Esperanza and Kieran didn't really say anything, as they were all frantically and desperately finding their way out of Diana's freaky nightclub/basement.
It probably would have helped them a lot had either Kieran or Esperanza read the sign.
Once you guys are in here, then you can never get out! Well there is one or two ways, but I'm not telling you what it is, I'm not that nice!
-Diana Valentine.
"For goodness sake, wow. she really does know every trick in the book," Esperanza muttered to herself, where Kieran and her were trying to find their way out of the basement by sort of murdering a skeleton that was blocking the doorway.
"Give it up, Esperanza, it says that the door is a dead end," Kieran realised, reading the sign that it said.
It was like they were trapped in a haunted house here. Honestly, no matter how hard they had tried, they couldn't get out.
Kieran was just about to give up completely, and so was Esperanza until they saw some sort of ghost magically appear in the background.
Kieran screamed, continuously tapping Esperanza, who did the same thing but louder, until the so called "ghost" rolled their eyes and cackled at them.
"Give it up guys, I'm not a ghost."
"You sure look like one!" Kieran and Esperanza replied simultaneously, sort of hugging each other.
Then they stopped hugging when they realised that they were hugging each other. Kieran and Esperanza didn't hate each other, no, although the weren't exactly the closest of partners.
"I'm not a ghost. I'm Diana Valentine's hologram. Wow you kids sure are more stupid than I thought, aren't you?"
Esperanza and Kieran stopped hugging each other, mainly because they had never seen Diana Valentine in person before and was sort of flabbergasted on what she looked like.
Even if it wasn't the real her, just a.... Hologram.
"Wait. Diana Valentine? Are you here to help us?" Kieran questioned, where Esperanza just did a face palm.
"Help you? Kieran, have you met me? I don't like or help people that work for my arch nemesis, Dr Kozak!"
Then, after saying that, she had vanished completely.
Before coming back up again, for some reason.
"Oh. And by the way, idiots, there's absolutely no way that you guys are going to get the 125th trophy. Not on my watch anyway. Time to make a million booby traps for you guys."
Kieran didn't say anything. For once, Esperanza did all of the talking.
"Er... Diana Valentine?"
"What, you imbecile that works for Dr Kozak who I can not tolerate?"
"You don't wear a watch," Esperanza told her, smirking at her.
"I hate you guys! For goodness sake. Shut up!"
Then she was off completely.
"Well that was unnecessary and totally uncalled for." Kieran told her, but Esperanza didn't really have time to reply because just then another hologram came up.
"Okay! Where are these things coming from?!" Kieran screamed, which Esperanza ignored, as she was staring at the hologram.
The two of them kind of thought that it was just Diana Valentine coming to scream at them again, but it wasn't, it was Cynthia Rose her daughter, who was full on smiling at them.
"Cynthia Rose?" Esperanza echoed.
Cynthia's hologram: Hey, Esperanza. Hey Kieran.
Esperanza: Why are you here? If you're just here to scream at us then sorry, but we're not listening.
Cynthia's hologram: What? No, guys. I'm here to do the opposite actually.
Esperanza and Kieran: *unsurprisingly confused* Wait. What?
Cynthia's hologram: Just because my mother hates you guys doesn't mean I hate you guys. I like you guys. You guys are my inspiration. I don't know why though. Maybe because you guys work for Dr Kozak.
Kieran: Wow.
Esperanza: I get that. But why are you actually here?
Cynthia: My mum doesn't know that I secretly made a hologram to talk to you guys because she thinks I'm fast asleep right now but didn't she say that there are two ways to get out of the basement?
Esperanza: Yeah... Why?
Cynthia's hologram: Well, I know what they are. And I wanted to tell you guys.
Kieran: Yes! Please tell us!
Esperanza: Cynthia Rose, thanks for the offer but you can't. This is a mission. You can't help us. Dr Kozak said we'd get in trouble if you do that.
Cynthia's hologram: But I just wanted to help you guys. It's not fair that my mother hates you guys when you haven't really done anything.
Esperanza: Well, get lost. You can't. Doctor Kozak made a ton of rules about missions and what you can and can't do in them, and in no way did it say that you can help us.
Kieran: Ignore her. Tell us how to get out!
Cynthia's hologram: I really don't know who to listen to or believe right now.
Kieran: *slaps Esperanza and sellotapes her mouth before she can say anything else* Don't listen to Anastasia. Tell us!
Cynthia's hologram: Okay. The way to get out of my cruddy mother's basement is...
