Chapter 76- Mysterious But Real Truths
Inspirational quote: Dear fake friends, I may not be perfect, but at least I am not fake.

Professor Florentine led Dr Kozak into his office, shutting the door and locking it malevolently.
He sat down in his black spinning chair, Dr Kozak just leaning back on the door, even though he already knew that it was locked.
"So, Professor Florentine, why have you decided to bring me here then?" Dr Kozak asked him, leaning back on the door and texting someone (Agent Ezekiel) frantically.
Professor Florentine didn't reply, just logged on his computer then stared malignantly at Dr Kozak.
Dr Kozak realised that he was been wickedly stared at by his godfather, but instead of listening to him, he said something else, in annoyance.
"Oh. And why the heck would you tell Agent Sylvester to kill my son?" He asked him angrily, showing him the text conversation he was currently having with agent Ezekiel even though Professor Florentine couldn't see anything, because Dr Kozak's phone was so far away.
"Ezekiel just texted me everything just now. That's just messed up. Why would you do that? You're not getting away with this, you know."
Professor Florentine was even more annoyed as he sighed and drummed his fingers on the table, waiting for Dr Kozak to sit down right opposite him.
"I am not going to answer your question. I need you to sit down opposite me. I have to talk to you about something."
Dr Kozak just rolled his eyes, still texting Agent Ezekiel and not moving from where he was at all.
"Why though? What if I don't want you to talk to me?" Dr Kozak sneered at his godfather.
"I am your godfather! You listen to me right now, Demetrius , or you are going to see a side of me that you have never seen before."
Okay. Okay. Jeez, Dr Kozak thought to himself, where his godfather just kind of squinted at him, waiting for him to sit down.
Now they were sitting opposite each other and face to face, but no one actually said anything just yet.
"Give me your phone. Stop texting Agent Ezekiel. You saw him like five minutes ago anyway."
Dr Kozak looked up at him, his fingers still typing away because he had memorised where all the letters were on his keyboard, in order, due to his amazing photographic memory skill.
"Why though? He's my best friend."
"Give me your phone, or switch it off and put it away," Professor Florentine ordered.
Silence from Dr Kozak for a while. He was just staring at Professor Florentine as if he was a crazy person.
"I'll rather go with the second option," Dr Kozak told him, switching off his phone and putting it in his jacket pocket.
"Good, because if you went with the first, I probably would have destroyed your phone."
Dr Kozak gasped as Professor Florentine smiled impishly at him, before frowning and banging the table.
"So. I heard you've been killing people a lot recently, huh? Is that right, Demetrius? Is it also true that you kill people when they annoy you?"
Dr Kozak didn't say anything, just kind of gave his godfather a dirty look, then muffled something to the dirt on the floor rather than at Professor Florentine.
"Yes. I do kill people that annoy me. And you're annoying me right now. So don't push your luck."
Professor Florentine gasped as Dr Kozak mischievously showed him his gun then put it away, not saying anything.
"Killing people is wrong, Demetrius!" Professor Florentine reminded him, slamming his hand on the table.
"Yes. I know that, but why does me killing people have anything to do with you?"
Professor Florentine didn't say anything for a while, as Dr Kozak slouched on his seat which unfortunately couldn't spin around, then he took both of his hands and stared at Dr Kozak in the eyes until their conversation ended.
"My god, you have the prettiest eyes."
Dr Kozak laughed.
"But what happened to your right one? It's like, bleeding everywhere."
Dr Kozak nodded in agreement.
"Yes. I know. My sister punched me in the eye because she was mad at me for telling her to shut up earlier today."
Professor Florentine: Which sister? You have two living ones. The rest are dead.
Dr Kozak: Agent Valentina.
Professor Florentine shook his head in disbelief.
Professor Florentine: I'm not surprised.
Dr Kozak: Yeah. I wouldn't be either.
Silence.
Professor Florentine: Anyway. To your previous question. Why I care so much about you killing people? Because it's wrong, Demetrius. God won't like it.
Dr Kozak: Oh yeah. I forget I'm religious sometimes.
Professor Florentine: Quick question? Do you want to go to heaven or hell when you die?
Dr Kozak: Well.. That's kind of hard. But heaven.
Professor Florentine: Then stop killing people that annoy you, Demetrius.
Dr Kozak: You're annoying me... How would you like it if I killed you right now?
Professor Florentine just smacked his hand making Dr Kozak scream.
Professor Florentine: Stop murdering innocent people, Demetrius! Plus I heard you murdered your wife and long lost daughter. Is that right? Or am I going off on a completely wild tangent here?
Dr Kozak didn't say anything for a while.
Professor Florentine: I kind of need an answer.. Sometime today would be nice...
Dr Kozak blushed, then looked away, then frowned, then nodded.
Professor Florentine: Why would you kill both of them, Demetrius? Talk to me. I won't get mad.
Dr Kozak sighed, and again, wanting to die.
Dr Kozak: Lauriel killed my animals during the perilous obstacle course test, Astera hid three secrets away from me.
Professor Florentine: Three secrets that you knew about? Seriously. Demetrius, you knew about those secrets because you can read her mind. You should have just talked to her about it, and admitted you were a mind reader. And for Lauriel, even if she killed your animals, you should have at least had mercy on her, after all, she is.. Was, your long lost daughter. Before you so malevolently killed her.
Dr Kozak sighed. Nobody understood.
Dr Kozak: *sighs* I suppose you're right.
Professor Florentine just raised an eyebrow at him in return.
Professor Florentine: Suppose?
Dr Kozak: Okay. Know.
A monotonous silence filled the room for about thirty seconds before Dr Kozak said something again, looking like he was about to cry.
Dr Kozak: But. I did have a reason to kill them. Both of them. No one knows this, but I killed them for more than one reason.
Professor Florentine just blinked at him once in return.
Professor Florentine: Wait. What? Say that again.
Dr Kozak sighed in stress, removing the tears from his eyes.
Dr Kozak: There's more than one reason as to why I killed Astera and Lauriel. It makes me so mad inside, makes me want to swell up and cry, and once I found out what both of them did, I knew I had to murder them instantaneously.
Professor Florentine: I'm still confused! Please rephrase what you're trying to say!
Dr Kozak rolled his eyes and kind of cried again.
Dr Kozak: No one knows the real reasons as to why I killed Astera and Lauriel.
Professor Florentine didn't reply, he was honestly amazed at what his godson was about to say.
Dr Kozak: The reasons on why I killed them were just fake.. The real reasons on why I killed them was because...
Professor Florentine stopped him halfway.
Professor Florentine: Wait. So let me get this straight. The reasons you killed Lauriel and Astera weren't the real reasons you killed them.
Dr Kozak: They were. But, there's more than one reason why I'm the reason for both of their deaths.
Professor Florentine: Okay. So. Start with Lauriel. Why did you kill Lauriel?
Dr Kozak sighed due to how stressed out he was.. Once again!
Dr Kozak: Believe it or not, Lauriel is a murderer. She may act all cute and sweet and innocent on the inside, but I know her. She's a serial killer. And I'm not making this stuff up. Ask anyone. Lauriel killed her sister Abigail.
PF: So.. You killed Lauriel because she was a murderer? And how does Lauriel killing her sister have anything to do with you?
DDK: I don't know, and kinda. Although not necessarily. And before you ask me why I killed her, let's just say she killed someone I love *sighs and cries* very much.
PF: What? Who?
DDK: Well, you see how my son Agent Tyrese *air quotes* "committed suicide" *air quotes end* by falling off the highest floor of this building, hit a truck and died?
Professor Florentine nodded.
DDK: Well that's not true. Tyrese didn't entirely *air quotes again* "commit suicide".
Professor Florentine looked at his godson in confusion.
DDK: Lauriel pushed him.
Professor Florentine gasped and nearly kind of fainted, but was luckily caught by his godson.
DDK: Uhm... You okay?
PF: Yeah. I'm fine. Lauriel pushed him?
DDK: Yeah. When Tyrese fell off the highest floor of this building, hit and truck and then died it was all because Lauriel pushed him.
PF: Was she alone at this time?
Dr Kozak shook his head.
DDK: No... My sister Agent Valentina was there too.
PF: Okay so tell me exactly everything that happened, from your point of view.
DDK: Well... I wasn't there so I can't really tell you anything from my point of view but I saw everything via CCTV camera footage. Basically Lauriel and Valentina kidnapped my son, putting duct tape on his eyes and mouth, wrapping him around with a rope so that he couldn't move. Anyway, they used an elevator to take him to the highest floor of this building, then untied him, but still kept the sellotape on his eyes. Then they pushed him, and agent Tyrese got hit by a truck and died. Valentina then told me that he *air quotes* "committed suicide" *air quotes end*, then I found out the real truth the day that I killed Lauriel. That's why I killed Lauriel. I was just so mad at her, that I just had to kill her. My sister is still alive though. I should probably kill her too someday.
Dr Kozak was crying his heart out but he tried to conceal this by placing his head on the table and sobbing non stop.
PF: Are you lying about this?
Dr Kozak looked up at Professor Florentine, shooting him a look of death.
Then he just frowned at him.
DDK: Do I look like I'm lying to you?
Dr Kozak did not look like he was lying.
PF: Okay. So why did you kill Astera. Your wife?
DDK: You see how my grandfather who I was really close with died in his sleep?
Professor Florentine nodded.
DDK: Well. That's not true.
Dramatic pause, then...
DDK: Astera killed him.
The same gasping, nearly fainting thing had happened again.
PF: What? Why? How?
DDK: Shorter story, this one. Basically, my grandfather and I get along, unlike Astera and my grandfather. One day she was really mad at him, so she had a rant at him for something that I can't remember so don't ask me. At night, she went to Agent Mordercai's room and killed him, but Astera somehow made it look like she didn't. I came into his room the next day to wake him up, but then I saw a short and typed note addressed to me saying 'Demetrius, if you see this, agent Mordercai is dead. He died in his sleep.' I found out the real truth via CCTV camera footage the day I killed Astera. So I killed Astera as well. Because I was honestly so ticked off at her. Plus the note was in her handwriting anyway, but I realised this too late.
Professor Florentine was seriously clapping his hands right now.
For some unknown reason.
"But seriously though, Demetrius. How do I know you're not lying?"
Dr Kozak practically screamed at his godfather next.
"I'm not lying! Honestly! I have CCTV camera footage of what Lauriel and Astera did to both my son Tyrese and my grandfather Mordecai and I can show you on the computer if you really want me to."
Professor Florentine whispered 'that would be good, thanks' so as a result of that, Dr Kozak logged on into his account, showing him the CCTV camera footage of what Lauriel and Astera did.
"Oh my gosh!" He told him, watching what they did. "You weren't lying when you said that Lauriel and Astera did this!"
Dr Kozak rolled his eyes.
"So. Let me get this straight. The real reasons on why you killed them was because..."
"...Lauriel killed my son and Astera killed my grandfather. And I was really close to both of them. So I killed them. And I don't kill people that annoy me, someone that hates me just made a rumour saying that I did. Well except maybe that guy at the petrol station a few hours ago."
"What?"
"Nothing!"
"So the truth is..."
"I have been innocent this whole time," Dr Kozak interrupted. "I just didn't tell anyone in case they wouldn't believe me. This is why I keep everything to myself. No one can be trusted anymore, except yourself."
End Of Part Two.

Moral of chapter: Dr Kozak is innocent! Who would have thought! Even the most villainous characters can have good aspects to them.
