Chapter 60- Never Trust Kieran And Esperanza

Inspirational quote: If you ever feel like quitting, just think about why you started in the first place.

Obviously, Dr Kozak had lied, even though Kieran and Esperanza should have totally seen it coming.

Dr Kozak told them that he'd be back in around five minutes, he had currently taken thirty, and near the end of it all, Kieran and Esperanza became so fed up that they couldn't resist breaking a few rules that Dr Kozak had told them specifically not to do.

"Psst. Kieran," Esperanza whispered, waking Kieran up from sleeping on the windowsill.

It took about three tries to wake Kieran up properly, but soon after he heard Esperanza and listened to what she was going to say.

"I don't know about you much but I'm very bored waiting for Dr Kozak," Esperanza admitted, Kieran nodding when she said that as well.

"Yeah. I know right," Kieran muttered back to Esperanza angrily, checking the time on his phone on his lock screen then locking it again.

"He said it'll take him five minutes, it's taken him half an hour... Jesus, Dr Kozak is so terrible at sticking to time limits."

They kept on talking quite badly about Dr Kozak behind his back, Kieran not mentioning at all that Agent Arista was his daughter, although later, much much later, Kieran got so worked up that he decided to sit at the front of the car and play around with the buttons there a little bit.

"Dude. What are you doing? Dr Kozak said that we can't leave the car unattended under any circumstances," Esperanza reminded Kieran, watching him stand up and head to the front.

"Joke's on him, it's his fault for not being wise enough and locking the car when he left," Kieran told her back, sitting in the driver's seat.

"Kieran! What are you doing? Dr Kozak is going to kill you!"

"Yeah, like he hasn't tried doing that already," Kieran told her back, kinda rolling his eyes as he played with a few buttons on Dr Kozak's car. "Esperanza calm down. Nothing bad is going to happen right?"

Wrong.

Once Kieran was about to finish playing with the buttons on Dr Kozak's car, he then came across a yellow one which he hadn't seen before.

"Ooh, what's this?" He said to himself in admiration, looking absolutely mesmerised by the yellow button located right opposite him.

"Invisibility spray, huh?"

He was about to press it, until Esperanza realised what he was doing, trying to at least put a stop to this all.

"Kieran, what the hell are you doing?" She bellowed for the whole of the shop to hear.

"Nothing." Kieran lied, although by then, it was too late, he had already pressed the yellow button, making the car completely invisible.

Kieran then went outside to see if this was true, and it was, the car was invisible, along with Esperanza as well, that was until he went back inside.

"Dude, what the flip have you done?!" Esperanza questioned Kieran, an angry tone to her voice.

She was currently staring at the car from the outside through the window, not actually seeing anything.

"I can't see the car from the outside!"

"That's because I pressed the invisibility spray, stupid. And it's going to stay like that until Dr K gets back. I'd like to see the look on his face once he finds out that his car has 'gone missing'."

Kieran chuckled to himself rather mischievously whilst Esperanza was just there ranting on about him being crazy, which Kieran chose to completely ignore once again.

Soon after, Esperanza got really bored, so bored that she fully had to text Dr Kozak to check if he was still alive or not.

Surreptitiously, she brought out her phone, went on her text messages, ignored the 292 text messages she still needed to reply to, went on Dr Kozak's name and sent him a very frantic text message.

Kieran in the meantime was still having fun at the front despite the fact that the car was completely invisible on the outside.

Dr Kozak, I'm becoming kinda low key worried (sorry, your catchphrase has kinda grown on me) about you. Are you dead?

Esperanza had written that but hadn't sent it yet, because she was really considering it. In the end, she ended up sending the text message anyway because she was wasting time plus she was highly desperate to know why on earth Dr Kozak was taking so long.

Dr Kozak in the meantime, was in the shop near the petrol station, kind of beating someone up but stopped once he heard his phone vibrate in his pocket.

He read what Esperanza had sent him, a bit mad at first but then realising that he was wasting both Kieran and Esperanza's time, typed something back very quickly.

No Esperanza... I'm literally coming right now.

Then Dr Kozak pressed send trying to exit the petrol station once and for all.

Esperanza's phone also beeped in her pocket as well. She genuinely thought that there was nothing to say back but still typed something anyway.

Oh alright.

Dr Kozak: You and Kieran okay?

Was that a trick question?

Dr Kozak's car was invisible, Kieran didn't know how to make it visible again, Dr Kozak was bound to come back any minute now...

Esperanza had to use her stock answer to answer Dr Kozak's question.

Esperanza: Uh...

Dr Kozak in the meantime was about to head out, but then he realised that he forgot to buy something for KOZAHKISTAN HEADQUARTERS.

Which was pretty ironic because KOZAHKISTAN HEADQUARTERS had 50,000 rooms and basically everything in the world inside there but oh well.

Dr Kozak had read what Esperanza had sent confusingly, thinking of possible reasons on why on Earth she didn't say yes.

Dr Kozak: What? Esperanza , what's going on?

Rhetorical question much?

Esperanza's fingers typed out a reply without her really even realising it.

Esperanza: Nothing.

Dr Kozak could tell she was lying, even from about two minutes away.

Dr Kozak: Really? Because you sound very uncertain, Esperanza.

Okay, so Dr Kozak could see right through her and could sense that something peculiar was going on.

Esperanza had to lie, whether it worked, or not, she knew had to lie to Dr Kozak.

Esperanza: Everything's fine! Honestly! You can see for yourself.

Dr Kozak read what she had sent but didn't reply for a while as he was really thinking that something crazy was going on.

Dr Kozak: Don't know why but something is telling me that you're hiding something from me...

Esperanza lost it, like physically and mentally lost it.

It wasn't what Dr Kozak had said though, it was mainly what Kieran was doing.

Screaming like an absolute maniac and turning the music up to full volume so that the police could arrest them at nearly one o'clock in the morning.

Esperanza: Seriously, Dr Kozak! It's just me and Kieran chilling in your black Mercedes.. Nothing strange at all.

Dr Kozak wasn't convinced as he typed something back.

Dr Kozak: Right....

Esperanza didn't say anything, but said something once she realised that Dr Kozak hadn't finished typing yet.

Dr Kozak: Anyway. I'm coming there now, like I said. Don't disappoint me. Bye.

Don't disappoint me, he texted. Hahaha... how ironic considering the tragic situation that both Esperanza and Kieran were currently in.

Esperanza: Bye.

Then that was pretty much the end of Esperanza and Dr Kozak's text conversation.

It took like forever for Dr Kozak to head outside, although he couldn't help noticing that...

...his car wasn't freaking there.

"Where the toffee is my car!" He hollered really loudly, dropping his groceries on the floor.

The stranger opposite him just stared at him blankly, then looked away as he filled his car with petrol.

Dr Kozak came closer to the stranger, technically petrifying him, but it was too late for the stranger to go back.

"Hey, you, I know we don't know each other, but have you seen my car anywhere?"

The stranger just glared right through Dr Kozak, frowning, then vigorously shaking his head.

"No. Sorry, sir. Don't really know what it looks like."

Dr Kozak rolled his eyes in disbelief as he described to this rather unknown stranger what his car looked like, but at the end of it all, the stranger just shook his head saying that he had literally just arrived here and that he still had no idea what Dr Kozak's car had looked like despite Dr Kozak just describing it in a lot of detail to him.

"Oh. Screw you!" Dr Kozak shouted to him, killing him and walking away.

He then searched for his car everywhere again, although when he walked forward, he kind of fell unto the concrete ground.

And then realising that his car was invisible, he couldn't help but scream lying down looking lifeless on the floor:

"Kieran! Esperanza! I'm going to kill you!" He paused for effect.

"Both of you!"

Moral of chapter: God is watching everything you do, whether you know it or not. If you want to do something and you know it's bad, then think again.

Will God like it?

God is taking note of everything good and bad you do in your life and the only time you can ask God to take the bad things away is if you ask for forgiveness. Don't be like Kieran. Please.
