"Someone's going to die tonight..." Dr Kozak muttered to himself as he went off to find Agent Arista.
There wasn't really much time left for Marcel and Tyrese to head back to KOZAHKISTAN HEADQUARTERS anyway because Dr Kozak wanted to see Kieran as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Kieran was trapped inside a van, Agent Marcel arrogantly tying a rope around him.
He couldn't see.
He couldn't breathe.
He couldn't talk.
He was only brought back to reality once again when both of them had opened the van doors, carrying him.
Well, before they did that, Agent Marcel thought it would have been a good idea to put chewed bubblegum on Kieran's shoe.
They then led him into the place that Lauriel went: The mini contemporary basement with the luminous and iridescent colours and diseased swimming pool wallpaper.
Dr Kozak had luckily managed to deal with Agent Arista before the three of them had arrived. He didn't see them come in, although he heard them.
"Release him," he ordered. "And also let him see-"
Dr Kozak then turned around on his spinny chair, which a shock-surprise-annoyed look on his face as he came closer to Kieran.
"What in tarnation? Why is he crying?!"
"Marcel hurt him," Tyrese explained, then shrunk back from the dirty looks he received from both Agent Marcel and Dr Kozak.
"Why would you do that?" Dr Kozak bellowed at him, even though Marcel didn't reply.
"How bad did you hurt him? Scale of one to ten. Ten being 'I hurt him so bad it could lead to death'."
"Uhm..." Marcel trailed off dramatically. "I'd say eight point five."
"Eight point five?" Dr Kozak lost it. He carried a sleeping Kieran down on the massage chair, removing the sellotape from his mouth, removing the sellotape from his eyes.
"You gave him a black eye?" Dr Kozak howled, even more annoyed than before.
"Tyrese told me to, dad!"
"Why?" Dr Kozak cried. "You guys know I'm a good person. Now this kid is going to think I'm a bad person."
No one replied, that was until Dr Kozak told them to get out and that they were fired.
He told Agent Marcel to get out anyway. Agent Tyrese, on the other hand, had to stay behind for some reason as Dr Kozak attempted to lock the door.
He came closer to Kieran, examining his face immediately.
"Kieran you alright?"
Kieran didn't reply. He was a hundred percent alive. He just didn't say anything.
Doctor Kozak checked his pulse rate, everything. The ending result was for him to give an annoyed glance at Agent Tyrese who was just standing there like a clueless Neanderthal.
"See, thanks to you, now Kieran's not breathing."
Tyrese didn't reply. He didn't feel like there was a reason to, that was why.
"And don't roll your eyes at me. I'm your father. You're grounded for nearly killing Kieran. Leave."
Agent Tyrese still rolled his eyes at Dr Kozak anyway before heading to his room 1,376 steps from where they were. Unlike Dr Kozak, he couldn't yet afford a teleporter.
Dr Kozak locked the door quietly, hoping that no one would come inside.
Kieran then woke up, took in where he was, and frowned, as Dr Kozak came closer to him and sat down in his blue spinny chair.
"Who are you and what are you doing to me?"
"For goodness sake," Dr Kozak muttered, doing an eye roll. This was the 70th time this week he had to explain to kids that he wasn't as spiteful as they thought.
"Kieran. I'm not a mean person. Unless I'm annoyed at you, then yeah, I can get very maleficent. I'm a really nice person. Honestly. Just don't drive me round the edge. I'm actually here to help you."
Kieran wasn't convinced, like Lauriel when she had to go through this.
"How do you know my name, totally random stranger?"
"Or am I a totally random stranger?" Dr Kozak asked him, standing up, using air quotes for the words 'totally random stranger'. "Because I almost definitely know who you are."
Kieran just stared at him as if he was crazy, Dr Kozak doing the same thing. Although after staring, Kieran had to admit...
"...Yeah your face looks kind of familiar all of a sudden," he realised, sitting up as well.
"Good..." Dr Kozak told him ironically. "And to your previous question, who am I? Well. I'm not going to tell you yet. Think pharmacists."
So Kieran thought.
He did this for about thirty odd seconds, before shaking his head.
"I'm sorry but your name doesn't seem to be ringing a bell to me. Plus dude, I've had like a million pharmacists."
"Think doctors then!" Dr Kozak snapped back, almost immediately because he was so eager for Kieran to know who he was.
"Same thing."
"Okay." Dr Kozak tried to calm down although it backfired completely. "How old are you? 15? Go back to about 7 years ago. Think pharmacists then."
Kieran did, and as he did, he finally remembered who he was.
"Doctor Demetrius Kazakhstan."
"Kozahkistan." Dr Kozak corrected him, half annoyed, half not.
"It's not Kazakhstan?"
"No. It's Kozahkistan."
"Really..." Kieran muttered sarcastically.
Dr Kozak nodded, before saying yes, then telling Kieran that he should just call him Dr Kozak in case he couldn't be bothered to say his name out in full.
Most people genuinely weren't bothered anyway.
"Yes. See, my name even lights up via this neon sign," Dr Kozak boasted, making Kieran stare at the fluorescent neon sign saying KOZAHKISTAN HEADQUARTERS that he didn't even know was there.
"So I noticed..." Kieran replied, not really caring all of a sudden. "Although exactly why did you get your sons to kidnap me?"
"To get revenge," was all Dr Kozak told him, sitting back on his spinny chair again, behind a table.
"For what reason?"
"Your father and I were sworn enemies!" He ululated, deafeningly banging his right hand on the table right in front of him.
"Which one?"
Dr Kozak was perplexed.
He looked at Kieran as if he was insane.
"How many fathers have you got?"
"How many did I have, more like. Two. They're both dead now hence past tense."
Dr Kozak didn't reply straight away.
"The first one? Wait, what's your surname?"
"Harper," was all Kieran told him.
"Then yeah. The first one. And before you ask me why, here's why we were sworn enemies. We went to the same secondary school. No matter what, your father was always jealous of me, but then again I guess I was jealous of him too-"
"Get straight to the point," Kieran interrupted, making Dr Kozak stare at him giving him a life threatening look. "Plus. What year and country was this anyway?"
"France, 1997. I was 15. Your father was the same age. Anyway, the reason I wanted to get revenge was because he stole my girlfriend at prom..."
"Who was..."
"Lauriel's mother. You know Lauriel, right? Wait. Of course. Yes you do."
Kieran's head metaphorically exploded in disbelief.
"I'm sorry but you know Lauriel? Plus how do you know I know Lauriel?"
"Yeah. She's my long lost daughter. She goes to your school. So does Maria Grace and Anastasia. I know loads of people from your school, actually."
"Anastasia doesn't go to my school," Kieran corrected him. "She's Maria Grace's cousin. So what, you just tell your sons to kidnap everyone you know in my school? You're deranged."
"They've only kidnapped four people at your school. The ones that need help in life the most."
Kieran gave Dr Kozak a blank stare.
"I mean... The people I've known the longest!" He lied.
Kieran just kept on thinking some crazy things.
"I don't have a mental illness, kid," Dr Kozak told him, making Kieran rather flummoxed.
"How the heck did you know I was thinking that?"
Dr Kozak didn't reply.
"You're a mind reader, aren't you!"
Dr Kozak just grinned at Kieran.
"Yes you are!"
Dr Kozak just removed his colour blindness glasses and then winked at him.
"Quick question ?" Kieran tried diverting the subject a little bit. "Why have you got those sunglasses?"
"They're not sunglasses. I'm colour blind, Kieran." Dr Kozak explained. "I see purple as cyan, white as razzmatazz, black as yellow, green as red... You get the idea. These sunglasses are to help me see colours right. I can't remove them."
"Can I try them?" Kieran came closer to him, making Dr Kozak smack Kieran's hand.
"You can't try them either. I'm afraid you might expand them. No one can, end of story."
"So you can't see me?" Kieran wanted to know, waving his hand in front of Dr Kozak.
"I can. It's just... It's hard to explain. Colours are disorientated for me."
Dr Kozak put his colour blindness glasses back on again, before moving on and changing subjects entirely.
"Oh and Kieran... I have a question. How would you like to become a spy?"
