Cynthia Rose gasped instantaneously, mainly over what Dr Kozak had said about Maria Grace.

"Maria Grace might be dead?!" She repeated, which was when Dr Kozak did a face palm but before he did that, full on rolled his eyes at her.

"Yes!" He snapped back, attempting to place Maria's body on a table but failed doing that completely.

He then looked at Cynthia Rose, really aggravatingly, only goodness knew why.

"Well don't just sit there staring at me as if I'm a crazy person- help me get Maria Grace on the table!"

And hearing that, of course, that was when Cynthia Rose left spinning around in Dr Kozak's spinning chair, to help Maria Grace unto the table.

They were struggling at first. And it didn't help that Maria Grace was wearing roller skates either because Cynthia Rose had somehow "cut" herself.

"How does one cut themselves with a roller skate?" Dr Kozak enquired, raising an eyebrow at Cynthia Rose in disbelief.

"I don't know!" Cynthia Rose argued, although as soon as she had said that that was when they had both placed Maria Grace on the table.

Dr Kozak and Cynthia Rose were both surrounding Maria's body, supposedly alive, or supposedly dead.

It was difficult to tell in this particular scenario.

Dr Kozak then tried checking her purse rate, smiling once he realised that yes- she was breathing- and what he did next was to continuously tap her until Maria Grace fully opened her eyes.

Which took a while.

"And are you sure that she's not dead?" Cynthia Rose questioned, which was when Dr Kozak smiled as he heard what Cynthia had just asked him.

"No. I just took a quick glance into the future just now... and everything is going to be fine..."

The next bit had happened like magic really.

The second after Dr Kozak had said that, that was when Maria Grace steadily opened her eyes, staring at the ceiling at first but then she sat up straight and came to notice that Cynthia Rose and Dr Kozak were both staring at her at exactly the same time.

"Maria Grace!" Dr Kozak purposely bellowed, coming to hug her. Maria Grace hugged him back although was slightly concerned and was rather quite confused on why Dr Kozak was hugging her in the first place.

Cynthia Rose felt jealous but she didn't let that show..

Maria and Dr K were obviously good friends... in fact way too good friends.

"Where... where am I?" Maria Grace asked, Dr Kozak giving her an ice pack which she placed on her head, seeing as she fell head first unto the floor when she was roller skating.

"My laboratory," Dr Kozak replied, helping Maria Grace get down by holding her hand and letting her jump off the table.

"Why am I here?"

Dr Kozak ignored her question completely.

"Have you got amnesia?"

Maria Grace didn't say anything. Just groaned as she soon realised how bad her headache was.

"I feel like I have."

Dr Kozak frowned slightly, then came to hug Maria again when she was least expecting it.

"Aww. Don't worry," he hugged her for a long long time, Maria Grace doing the same thing back, then stared at her in the eyes. "Are you okay though?"

Maria Grace nodded steadily, not saying anything else.

"Yeah... I'm fine... I think?"

There was silence in the laboratory for a while as Maria Grace tried to redeem herself.

Dr Kozak tried everything he could to make Maria feel better, such as getting her a blanket, making her tea, giving her ice cream etc etc.

Cynthia Rose felt really jealous. And truth be told she didn't even know why she was jealous. She was just jealous.

Dr Kozak was her idol, that was why.

She didn't really want to share him without anyone else, including Maria flipping Grace here.

"Anyway why have you decided to bring me here?" Maria Grace wanted to know, when she felt much better again and all three of them were crowding around Dr Kozak's very golden spinning chair.

"Aha. Glad you asked that, Maria Grace. I was just getting to that bit."

Then Dr Kozak introduced Cynthia Rose to Maria Grace and vice versa.

"Aren't you Diana Valentine's daughter?" Maria Grace asked Cynthia Rose, after studying Cynthia's face hard and realising that it kind of looked really familiar all of a sudden.

"Yes I am. How do you know me? I've never really talked to you before."

"I've dealt with Diana before. Plus Dr Kozak always use to tell me bedtime stories when I was younger about your mother. It was like 'once upon a time was a malevolent woman called Diana Valentine. Insert random story. Then she died. The end'."

Cynthia Rose laughed whilst Dr Kozak just turned red.

"So am I really going to be sharing a room with Cynthia?" Maria Grace asked Dr Kozak, turning to face him.

Dr Kozak just nodded then told her what room they were going to be sharing before they finally headed off once and for all.

"Well... in that case. I'll make sure that I look after Cynthia Rose as much as I can and make sure that she feels really happy in this place."

Cynthia Rose smiled as she held Maria Grace's hand, as they walked out. Although as soon as they were about to walk out, Dr Kozak called Maria Grace's name for the whole world to hear.

"Maria Grace?" He echoed, And because Maria had heard him, she turned around.

"Yeah?"

"Can I speak to you alone about something quick?"

Maria Grace indicated to Cynthia Rose that Dr Kozak wanted to talk to her about something privately so what Cynthia Rose did was to nod and to wait patiently yet solemnly outside, deeply contemplating life.

Maria Grace shut the door behind her, Dr Kozak just staring at her.

"So what did you want to talk to me about?"

"It's your cousin's birthday today..." He reminded her, indirecting Esperanza.

Maria Grace didn't say anything. Just patiently waited for Dr Kozak to finish his sentence.

"And Ezekiel and I were think of maybe getting you and a few other people to help me plan a surprise party for her...."

Maria Grace smiled.

"Of course! I'd love that. But what about Cynthia Rose? Do you want her to help us?"

Dr Kozak just thought- as in seriously thought about it, not saying anything for a long long while....

"Not sure yet. Either way, I want you and a few others to come to the room in which my son died so that we could help plan Esperanza's surprise birthday party..."

Maria Grace stared at him blankly, blinking continuously at him. Dr Kozak just glanced back at her weirdly.

"What?"

"I don't know the room in which your son died because I wasn't there."

"Room 36,363," Dr Kozak replied, using his right hand to pick up a pen to write on his left hand, as he was mainly right handed.

Maria Grace did the same thing.

"Okay. Noted. Got it."

Dr Kozak smiled, not saying anything, his eyes intently fixed on Maria Grace as she headed outside.

"Oh. And Dr Kozak?"

He looked up at her in return, from handwriting something.

"Yeah?"

"Interesting phone conversation last night."

Dr Kozak laughed then smiled as Maria Grace walked outside, with Cynthia Rose, therefore making Dr Kozak to use his telekinesis to close the door.

They had just talked about how Maria Grace had found the mission and everything really, but it was fun to talk to her.

As they hadn't really done so in really long time.

Finally... Dr Kozak thought to himself, watching something on his computer.

The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.

I'm alone...

Although that didn't last for long as soon after, someone was furiously banging on the door.

"Dr Kozak! Dr Kozak! Let me in!" They cried. "Let me in!! Please!"

And they kept on banging the door, much to Dr Kozak's frustration.

And irritation.

Then he realised something.

"Hang on. Esperanza? Is that you? Kinda sounds like you."

"Yes!" Esperanza echoed, banging furiously on the door. "Let me in. Please. It's really urgent."

Then Dr Kozak used his telekinesis once again to open the door because he seriously couldn't be bothered to stand up and open the door with his hands.

Which was the best thing about telekinesis. You really didn't need to use your hands to do anything at all.

As soon as Esperanza realised that Dr Kozak had opened the door for her, she closed- no sorry, slammed- the door shut, hyperventilating rather uncontrollably, leaning back on the door.

Dr Kozak just stared at her. Her face was fully red and she looked like she had just survived World War One, only goodness knew why.

"Uhm..." Dr Kozak trailed off, intently watching Esperanza hyperventilate to herself.

He then raised an eyebrow at her in disbelief.

"You okay, Esperanza? What's going on with you?"

Esperanza shook her head, then started crying.

Unexpectedly, very unexpectedly.

Dr Kozak had seen her cry before yeah, especially when one of her seven brothers had died, but never unexpectedly.

"Whoa. You're crying some serious tears there... why?"

Esperanza partially shouted her next response...

"I can't share a room with Kieran anymore! Kieran is crazy, Dr Kozak! C-R-A-Z-Y!"

"So you noticed," Dr Kozak replied, frowning then rolling his eyes at the thought of Kieran.

"Of course I noticed!" Esperanza screeched, coming closer to Dr Kozak and frantically shaking him until the end of her next sentence.

"Kieran- he's insane. Beyond mainstream levels insane. He attempted to kill me."

"Don't be absurd Esperanza."

"I'm not being absurd Dr Kozak!" Esperanza was seriously crying now, Dr Kozak just staring at her, reading her mind as she thought something.

"Please! I can't share a room with Kieran anymore!! He drives me crazy!"

The same shaking Dr Kozak frantically thing had happened again.

Dr Kozak rolled his eyes in disbelief.

"Fine." He then frantically texted someone on his phone, who he was texting unknown. "Wish granted."

"Yes!" Esperanza then hugged him unexpectedly. "Thank you so much!"

Dr Kozak didn't reply.

"Wait. Hang on a minute. Wish granted? What do you mean?"

Dr Kozak was confused.

"What do you mean? I got someone you can share a room with that's not Kieran."

"Who?" Esperanza wanted to know, hyperventilating over what Kieran did.

"Kieran's cousin. Adam."

Esperanza smiled.

"Oh! I know him. We're like best friends!"

Silence from Dr Kozak.

"Which is really ironic because Kieran and I are like the worst of enemies right now."

Silence again from Dr Kozak, mainly because he was seriously deep in thought about something.

"Thank you so much!" Esperanza hugged Dr Kozak again, smiling.

Dr Kozak didn't reply, just smiled, then stared at her... then without Dr Kozak or Esperanza even realising it, they hugged each other again for about ten seconds.

Esperanza then left the laboratory, Dr Kozak sighing and doing the same thing about five minutes later.

Well... I was really tired anyway. Come to think of it.

Then he shut the door and switched off the light of his laboratory once and for all.

Moral of chapter: This is why it is not always good to share rooms. Your roommate can be weird or annoying, and you may not even realise it. Still be nice to them though.
