Dr Kozak smiled then frowned at Kieran, attempting to slam the door in his face but then Kieran had beaten him halfway.

"Whoa whoa whoa..." Kieran trailed off dramatically, staring at Dr Kozak who was just lowkey frowning at him. "You're not really going to fire me are you?"

"Too late," Dr Kozak replied, doing the signature move once again of examining his fingernails. "You've been fired, kid. That also means you've only got one day to get out of here before I kill you!"

Again Dr Kozak tried slamming the door, but Kieran made it so that Dr Kozak's finger had gotten trapped between the door, making Dr Kozak scream in pain.

Kieran just smiled at him.

Kieran: You still can't fire me though.

Dr K: *has stopped screaming now, is frowning at Kieran* Why not?

Kieran: Because.

Dr K: *scowls at him* Because what?

Kieran: Because I'm un-fire-able.

Dr K: *air quotes* "Un-fire-able" *air quote end* isn't a word, you imbecile. Now get lost. I thought you didn't care about us anyway.

Kieran: I don't.

Dr K: Exactly.

Kieran: *turns to leave* I'm leaving.

Dr Kozak: Good... *melodramatic pause* Riddance.

Kieran then turned back and then frowned completely at Dr Kozak.

Kieran: Oh and for the record...

Dr Kozak: For the record what?

Kieran: *smiles* Your eyes are glowing purple.

When Dr Kozak had heard that, he stopped staring at Kieran in the eyes, looked away and blinked three times.

Although when he blinked the third time, Kieran had gone for good, preferably back to his room so that he could sleep.

Dr Kozak smiled to himself when Kieran had left and shut the laboratory door behind him, heading back inside again to meet the people that were there: in other words, Esperanza and Ezekiel.

Ezekiel: Where's Kieran?

Dr Kozak: *low key examines his fingernails* He's gone to bed.

Esperanza then stood up, to go somewhere that was still in the laboratory, although location unknown.

That was when Ezekiel had headed for the door, looking back at Dr Kozak to say something before he left.

Ezekiel: Well. I've got to go. I'm extremely tired and I want to sleep.

Esperanza: *actually really melancholic* Awww... Bye.

Dr Kozak didn't say anything, although when Ezekiel took a step forward that was when he shouted something making Ezekiel turn backwards again.

Dr Kozak: Wait. Ezekiel. One quick word in private before you go.

That was when Dr Kozak turned to Esperanza, whispering 'I'll be right back' to her, where Esperanza just nodded and read more birthday messages on her phone, whilst Dr Kozak shut the door behind him, Ezekiel just standing there.

Ezekiel: So what did you want to talk to me about in private then?

Dr Kozak didn't reply, just wrapped his arm around Ezekiel, as they walked and talked together, walking away as far as possible from Dr Kozak's laboratory in case Esperanza had heard them.

Dr Kozak: *in a more private room now albeit location unknown* It's Esperanza's birthday today.

Ezekiel: Yeah. I know that.

Dr Kozak: And I was thinking that maybe we should plan a surprise birthday party for her.

Ezekiel: I thought that you couldn't really tolerate her though.

Dr Kozak: Yeah I know but after Diana's security guard Alastair nearly beat Esperanza to death and I saved her life back at DIE ANNA INCORPORATED, I realised that maybe I can tolerate her more than I thought I could.

Ezekiel smiled.

Ezekiel: So you want me and you to plan a surprise birthday party for Esperanza?

Dr Kozak: Yeah. Pretty much.

Ezekiel: But just me and you though? Isn't that going to take ages though?

Dr Kozak: No. Not just you and me. I was just thinking of about five to ten other people to help us with the preparation as well.

Ezekiel: Who?

Dr Kozak: I don't know but my sister Elizabeth, my cousin Sylvester and you are part of them.

Ezekiel: Hmm... What about my daughter, Maria Grace and her brother?

Dr Kozak: Sounds perfect. I'll think of the other people later.

Ezekiel: Hmmm... What about Kieran?

Dr Kozak: *really angry* No. Anyone but Kieran. Kieran and I are in a very massive feud right now.

Ezekiel: Okay. Oh and Demetrius?

Dr Kozak just stared at him.

Dr Kozak: Yeah?

Ezekiel: Your eyes are glowing purple.

Dr Kozak: *kinda shouting* You've got to be kidding me!

Then he stopped looking at Ezekiel for about five seconds then stared back.

Ezekiel: Why do they glow purple anyway?

Dr Kozak: Because when I stare at someone in the eyes for thirty seconds or more it just kinda does that automatically. I can't really control it.

Ezekiel: Yeah but why though?

Dr Kozak: It's part of my superpower.

Ezekiel: But what's your actual superpower?

Dr Kozak sighed.

Dr Kozak: Basically I stare at someone in the eyes for thirty plus seconds then my eyes glow purple, and then after that it means I can shoot laser beams with my hands for a few minutes.

Ezekiel: Whoa... That's cool.

Dr Kozak: *smiles* Thanks.

Ezekiel: But you never had that superpower before. I swear you only had eight.

Dr Kozak: Yeah I know I had eight but now I've got fourteen. When KOZAK HQ turned gold after we aced the mission that automatically gave me six extra superpowers that I kinda got to choose from.

Ezekiel: KOZAK HQ?

Dr Kozak: Well I'm not always bothered to say KOZAHKISTAN HEADQUARTERS am I?

Ezekiel: Okay. Name me all of your superpowers.

Dr Kozak: *stares at him blankly* Ezekiel, you know all of my superpowers.

Ezekiel: I meant the six new ones that have recently been added.

Dr Kozak: Okay. *counts on his fingers each time he mentions a superpower* I can sing really well. I can dance really well-

Ezekiel: *sort of laughing* Those aren't superpowers, Demetrius.

Dr Kozak: Considering that I couldn't do any of those before, they kinda are...

Ezekiel: Fair point. What are the other four?

Dr Kozak: Hyper mobility speed aka I can run anywhere and back really fast, indestructibility, the hands are laser beams thing and I can control the weather for the next day.

Ezekiel: Wait. What?

Dr Kozak: I said I can control the weather for the next day.

Ezekiel: For all of this country or just-

Dr Kozak: Not this country. This county.

Ezekiel: So if you wanted it to snow tomorrow it snows?

Dr Kozak: Yep! Pretty much. Although snow in March is highly unlikely.

Ezekiel: So what weather are we having tomorrow?

Dr Kozak: I chose.... *smiles* cloudy with a chance of ice cream.

Ezekiel: Are you crazy?!

Dr Kozak: Well I don't like sunshine do I?!

Ezekiel didn't reply. It was true. Demetrius hated sunshine.

Ezekiel: Could you sing and dance for me?

Dr Kozak: *casually blows bubblegum* Okay.

Then Dr Kozak sang something really well although the notes were so high that a glass broke.

Ezekiel: Wow. Those notes were higher than my grades back at school.

Dr K just laughed.

Ezekiel: Could you dance for me?

And hearing that, Dr Kozak did the moonwalk -as in properly- there and back. Mainly because the song Billie Jean by Michael Jackson was playing down the corridors as people were roller skating.

Ezekiel: Thanks. Now you've made me jealous.

Dr Kozak smiled impishly to himself.

Ezekiel: Interesting conversation, Demetrius. But now I've got to go. What time do you want me and the others to help you plan Esperanza's surprise birthday party?

Dr Kozak: I don't know but I'll text you guys. If I forget, just tell everyone that I mentioned to set their alarms for one thirty pm.

Ezekiel then unlocked the door then they both hugged and departed their separate ways once and for all.

As soon as Dr Kozak headed back to his laboratory, the first thing he did was to stare at Esperanza who didn't even notice him come in as she was texting someone.

Esperanza: *says this as soon as she notices Dr Kozak stare at her* I'm assuming you want me to leave?

Dr Kozak: *shakes his head vigorously* No. Please stay. I want someone to talk to at least.

Then there was another silence which was broken when Dr Kozak's computer beeped.

Esperanza: *stands up and goes to Dr Kozak's computer* I'll get it!

Dr Kozak: Not going to lie... I wasn't going to get it anyway. Haha.

Esperanza then stared intently at Dr Kozak's computer reading in her head what it had currently read.

Esperanza: Sir it says that you've got a video chat request...

Dr Kozak: From who?

Esperanza: I don't know. YourWorstNightmare302.

Dr Kozak froze.

Esperanza: Should I accept?

Dr Kozak: No!

Esperanza: Why not?

Dr Kozak: Because that's Diana Valentine.

Esperanza was confused as she thought something.

Esperanza: But isn't she dead though?

Dr Kozak: Oh yeah. I forgot about that. My daughter killed her.

Esperanza: So it must either be Cynthia Rose and/or Martinez. Hopefully Martinez.

Dr Kozak: Yeah. I was thinking the same thing. Accept.

Esperanza had then kinda grudgingly accepted the video chat request and nearly fainted when she saw who it was.

Martinez: Uhm, hey, Esperanza.

Esperanza: *is internally freaking out, she is kinda fancies with Martinez* Martinez!

Martinez: Is Dr Kozak there by any chance?

Esperanza: Why need Dr Kozak when you've got me?

Martinez rolled his eyes in disbelief as a reply.

Martinez: Esperanza... I kinda need to speak to Dr K.

Esperanza: Fine *folds her arms and is annoyed, Martinez is just staring at her angrily* I'll get Dr Kozak.

Although by then Dr Kozak was sitting on his spinning chair, smiling as he was texting someone away.

Ezekiel.

Dr Kozak: *is texting Ezekiel and smiling, so he has no idea of what's going on* Hey I heard my name for some reason?

Martinez: Oh. Hey sir.

Dr Kozak stopped typing for a while, then looked up at who had possibly said his name. At first he was frowning, but when he saw Martinez's face on the computer he kind of smiled.

Dr Kozak: Oh hey Martinez!

Martinez: Hey.

Dr Kozak: How did you find my username?

Martinez: *is laughing, Esperanza is jealous because she never makes Martinez laugh* Well who else who be named Demz the magic Gemz?

Dr Kozak: Fair point.

Martinez: So what's up?

Dr Kozak: *has left his phone to charge and is staring at Martinez* Nothing much. *becomes annoyed* Except from the fact that Kieran killed my niece Christabelle! What about you?

Martinez: Cynthia an I are throwing a massive party here to celebrate my mother's death. It's eight in the morning, I know, but hey, no parents, no rules.

Dr Kozak: What about your father?

Martinez: Oh my mother killed him ages ago...

No one replied.

Martinez: And wait. What? Say that again?

Dr Kozak: *confused* Say what again?

Martinez: The thing you said about Kieran.

Dr Kozak: He killed my five year old niece Christabelle.

Martinez: *gasps* Since when was Kieran a murderer?

Dr Kozak: Beats me. Anyway, where's your sister Cynthia?

Martinez: She wanted to talk to you, which is why I video chat requested you really, but when Esperanza accepted she got really petrified and ran off.

Dr Kozak: Aw. Bless her. Esperanza must have scared her off or something.

Esperanza: *accidentally on purpose overhearing their conversation* Hey!

Dr Kozak and Martinez at the same time: It's true though. Cynthia Rose said that you intimidate her.

Then they both laughed once they realised that they said exactly the same thing at the same time.

Martinez: She also said that she'd like to speak to you about something.

Dr Kozak: Sure thing.

Martinez: Should I go and get her?

Dr Kozak: Well, yeah, Martinez, if your sister wants to talk to me about something!

Martinez: *smiles* Okay. Stay here. I'll be right back.

Dr Kozak: Okay.

Esperanza: No! Martinez! Don't go! *whispers to herself* I wish we could talk more.

Martinez came back though, staring at her blankly.

Martinez: What was that?

Esperanza: Nah. Don't worry.

Martinez: *eyes her weirdly, then shoots Esperanza a seriously dirty look* Right...

Then he was off to find Cynthia.

Esperanza: *when Martinez has left to go get his sister* You know...

Dr Kozak: I know...

Esperanza: Since when were you and Martinez...

Dr Kozak: *is confused* Since when were me and Martinez what? Please finish your sentences.

Esperanza: Sine when were you and Martinez friends?

Dr Kozak: *smiles* We've always been friends. We're really close. Martinez is like a brother to me.

Esperanza: But didn't Martinez-

Dr Kozak: But didn't Martinez what? *shakes her frantically then stops* Like I said... Please finish your sentences.

Esperanza: Bu didn't Martinez booby trap you?

Dr Kozak: Ah. Yes he did.

Esperanza: So why would you want to be friends with someone that's booby trapped you?

Dr Kozak: It was all a misunderstanding. His mother got him to booby trap me, but Martinez didn't actually want to. When we had an argument he was only pretending to be ticked off at me, because his mother wants Martinez to hate me but Martinez actually doesn't. Same with Cynthia Rose.

Esperanza didn't reply.

Dr Kozak: See Esperanza? Everything was just play acting. *casually blows up bubblegum*

Esperanza: Yeah but how do you know all this?

Dr Kozak: Oh. Martinez spoke to me privately about it. Explained everything.

Esperanza: How?

Dr Kozak: *is perplexed... Moreover says this really slowly* In.... Real... Life. When we were all at DIE ANNA INCORPORATED.

Esperanza: Yeah I know but when?

Dr Kozak: Can't remember to be honest. Although we're friends now.

Esperanza didn't say anything else as Cynthia Rose appeared on the screen.

Cynthia: Hey Dr Kozak!

Dr Kozak: *smiles* Hey!

Cynthia: Hey Esperanza.

Pause.

Esperanza: *is practically shouting at her* Go away!

Moral of chapter: Be kind to those around you, even if they don't deserve it. Rude words can hurt someone if you're not careful so don't say anything you'll regret later because words are like eggs.
