Kieran screamed for about five seconds, and he stopped when Vanessa had covered his mouth telling him to keep quiet.

Vanessa's eye was becoming black and swollen, honestly looking atrocious. Worst of all, it spoilt her beauty, making Kieran unsure of whether he still liked her or not.

"They got me in the eye, Kieran," Vanessa told him.

Kieran couldn't believe his ears and eyes.

"Yes, I can see that!" He retorted back. "Albeit how are you still alive?"

Vanessa shrugged and put on her sunglasses again before saying anything else.

"I'm not sure. It's probably not my time yet. I look horrible don't I? Tell me the truth please Kieran."

Kieran just looked at her, not saying anything. He remained kind of speechless for a while, saying stock words like he usually did when he didn't know what to say.

"Uhm........" Kieran didn't know what to say. Suddenly, he saw something terrible happen towards the other side of the cupboard, through a massive hole.

Three terrorists were trying to vindictively murder his family.

"Vanessa," he unlocked the cupboard, looking back at her one more time. "Vanessa. Listen to me. Stay here. Okay?"

Vanessa looked perplexed.
"What? Why? Where are you going?"

There was no time to respond; soon after, Kieran found himself leaving the cupboard for real, then remembering that he forgot to reply to Vanessa, he put his face in the cupboard again and stared at her intently.

"My family. They're in danger. I've got to save them. Please, don't move. You can't die yet. I'd probably cry for the rest of my life if you did."

Vanessa grinned, and that was when Kieran left the cupboard for real, facing the terrorist.

Kieran tapped him gently, making the terrorist turn around in confusion, glaring at Kieran.

"What?" He whispered. "And why are you still alive?" He added, turning the gun towards Kieran, but not actually pulling the trigger yet.

"Because I'm not dead," Kieran answered, making the terrorist roll his eyes in confusion. "And who do you think you're trying to kill?"

The terrorist didn't respond, just smiled impishly, removing the tablecloth from the table and pulling the trigger of the gun.

Gunshot!

Kieran had heard it and seen it, but he wasn't sure who had died, if anyone had died anyway.

He didn't know what to do, let the terrorist try and attempt to kill his stepfather, or actually do something about it?

Kieran knew what he was going to do, so as a result of that, he kicked the terrorist.

He kept on doing that until the terrorist soon became so infuriated that he had to turn around and face Kieran, his face full of resentment.

"What do you think you're doing?" He asked him, looking very horrified.

Kieran didn't respond straight away, and when he did he only told the terrorist that if anyone had messed with Kieran's family then they messed with Kieran first of all.

Twenty seconds later, Kieran and the terrorist were against each other in a one on one battle.

The terrorist aimed to kill Kieran however Kieran ducked just in time, so he ended up hitting a picture on top of the cupboard Vanessa was currently and hopefully still hiding in.

"You're just having lucky escapes, kid," the terrorist told him. When Kieran wasn't looking, he had attempted to murder him again, although Kieran ducked once again, as if everything was inevitable, although not.

"Aha," Kieran grinned, laughing at him. It had also turned out that the terrorist's gun was out of bullets, so he couldn't attempt to kill Kieran anymore so it wouldn't work.

Instead, he had another plan, and sanguinely Kieran was naive enough to fall for it as well.

"Hey!" The terrorist shouted. "Look over there!"

So Kieran looked. Why? No one really knew.

After Kieran noticed that nothing was there, it was already sort of too late, the terrorist had pinned him to the ground.

He came up towards him in astonishment.
"You make my job way too easy," the terrorist whispered to him.

From Kieran's perspective, the terrorist was upside down and by the time everything was over, he had already been punched in the face by him.

"Hehehe. Loser," were the terrorist's last words to him before he was about to go away.

That was it. Kieran had officially had enough.

He might have been in serious pain at the moment, but that did not mean that he couldn't fight back... Did it?

Quicker than the speed of light, Kieran went up to his feet and kicked the terrorist twice, on his back.

The terrorist turned over and looked at him, and straight after that was another fight between them, verbally this time.

Kick!
Punch!
Slap!

Surprisingly enough, all of this seemed to be coming from Kieran.

The terrorist wasn't tired enough to fight back, so he did everything that Kieran did to him, only harder.

The fight went on for about two extra minutes, and Kieran's finishing finale move was to find a gun on the floor and shoot the terrorist back when no one was watching or looking.

"Hahaha... Who's laughing now?" He echoed to the deceased terrorist lying down lifeless on the floor.

Kieran looked up. What he didn't realise was that many other terrorists were watching, although as soon as they saw Kieran, they all instantaneously dropped their guns and ran away.

They were that terrified.

As soon as the coast was clear, everyone came rushing back to where the wedding had taken place, at least, if they were sure that the terrorists had gone anyway.

"Guys, guys!" Kieran hollered, standing on the stage and holding a microphone. "The coast is clear. You can all stop hiding now. I scared them away. Everything is safe now."

Ecstatic, everyone listened to him, and cheered as well as they made their way back to the church hall where the wedding cake was being cut, once again.

The sweetest thing happened next, Vanessa kissed Kieran lightly on the cheek for saving his life.

Kieran wasn't really expecting that at all. He had never had anyone kiss him like that before, let alone like like him.

"I never realised or knew you were that brave," she whispered to him, interlocking her hand with Kieran's. "I'm just so triumphant that you made it out alive, Kieran and the terrorist died. I honestly thought that it would be the other way around."

She kissed Kieran lightly on the cheek again, where Kieran felt as though he was in cloud nine or up in Heaven, unlike the terrorist.

They were walking and talking at the same time until they reached the door because as soon as Kieran was about to pull it, he stop once he figured out something.

"Hang on...." He trailed off melodramatically to her. "Going back to before... You saw the whole thing?"

Vanessa nodded.
"And heard. The cupboard got claustrophobic. I moved when you guys weren't looking. Almost died as well."

Kieran sighed with relief.
"Thank god you didn't," he exclaimed to her, before opening the door and leaving the place where the wedding had taken place.

No one said anything afterwards, they just headed to the chapel hall, eating the remainders of the wedding cake.

Kieran must have overused the word safe when telling everyone that the terrorists were gone and everything was safe now, because about fifteen minutes after the terrorists left, the people at the chapel experienced some sort of treacherous event.

The suicide bombs.
Kieran had forgotten about the suicide bombs that the terrorists left behind.

He remembered that the bombs were in the chapel when he heard some sort of beeping sound, then straight afterwards were the loud words:

"Initiating countdown. You have twenty seconds to get out, and live."

"Or what?"

"Or you die, loser."
