Chapter 35

Third POV

Classroom

Sasha found herself being happier than she ever had been before in her life. Since she had no idea why, she was extremely confused. Maybe it was part of growing into an adult. Maybe it was because she just started dating her first girlfriend who is a strong, caring, and responsible person. Maybe it was because it was Friday. Yeah, that sounded more logical than the girlfriend thing.

Sasha was about to walk to the roof when...

"Sasha!" Charlotte shouted from behind her.

Sasha spun around and faced her.

"What?"

"Where's Bayley?"

Two months ago, Vickie decided to enroll Bayley back in public school. At first she was against still afraid that the heart virus will come back and she wouldn't be there to give Bayley the medicine but thanks to Beth, Nikki, and Brie the three managed to convince her to let Bayley come back to San Jose High School.

"I dunno." Sasha lied. She knew exactly where he was because they were going to her house together. "Why?"

"I've been meaning to give you and her relationship lessons." Charlotte replied, "Relationship lessons?" Sasha said not expecting Charlotte to say that.

"Yeah. So you and Bayley can have a happy and stable relationship." Charlotte explained. "Stable? What are we horses or something? Are you even serious right now?" Sasha asked.

"Yes. I'm very serious. You and her are a cute couple and I don't want to see you two break up." Charlotte replied wanting the best for her two friends. "But, Charlotte, you haven't had a relationship that lasted more than a week." Sasha reminded her.

"That doesn't matter! Since you're here right now, I guess I can teach something to you." Charlotte said dismissing what Sasha said as Sasha groaned.

"When you're in a relationship, you always have to do something new that will keep them interested in you. If she's not interested, she'll go after another girl." Charlotte informs her.

"Charlotte!"

"That's what'll happen. I speak from experience!"

I'm leaving." Sasha said walking away from Charlotte and to the roof. "But Sasha! I want to share my knowledge!" Charlotte yelled but Sasha continued walking away.

Just like Sasha expected, Bayley was waiting for her.

"What took you so long?" Bayley asked her. "Charlotte. She insisted that you and I needed relationship lessons." Sasha replied as they both flew off.

"Relationship lessons?"

"That's what I said! Then she told me that I had to do new things to keep you interested so you wouldn't dump me and go after another girl." Sasha revealed slightly angry that Charlotte said that, "I might not know a lot about dating, but I do know that that's a bad reason to dump someone." Bayley said and Sasha nodded in agreement.

"So did you like my hair when it was longer?" Sasha randomly asked only to be answered by Bayley shrugging her shoulders.

"What did that mean?" Sasha asked narrowing her eyes at Bayley, "It was okay." Bayley answered.

"'Okay'? What do you mean 'okay'?! Do you know just how much money all of the hair products I used costed?" Sasha angrily asked, "A lot?" Bayley nervously answered. "But your hair's shorter now. You won't have to use all of those hair products anymore!" Bayley quickly added.

"Do you like the way my hair looks now?" She asked. "Yes." Bayley answered thinking back to the day she first saw Sasha with blue hair. "You didn't dye you're just because I said something about it, did you?" Bayley asked and her question answered when she doesn't deny it.

"Sasha! You shouldn't change something about yourself because of me! I like you just the way you are." Bayley tells her, "When did you get so good at giving romantic speeches?" Sasha asked.

"Sasha!"

"Okay, I know a girlfriend isn't supposed to change herself for her girlfriend, but in all fairness, we weren't dating then!" Sasha remarked, "But you still changed because of something I said. Why did you change because of me?" Bayley questioned.

"Because..." Sasha couldn't say the answer. "Because what? You can tell me anything, Videl." Bayley said in a gentle voice. "Because...I kinda sorta had a crush on you." Sasha revealed making Bayley blush

"Oh...well..." She said, struggling to find the right words for a response as Sasha blushed too, but she didn't say anything. Instead Charlotte replayed over in her head.

"If she's not interested, she'll go after another girl. By cutting my hair, I kept her interested in me."

Even though Sasha thought she kept Bayley interested in her, it didn't seem like that for the rest of the time she was at her house. Whenever she tried to talk about herself, Bayley would bring up a topic that wasn't about her. She even tried talking about her clothes, but Bayley started talking about a piece of lint on the floor.

Now that's pathetic.

Sasha Room

Once Sasha got back to her house, she went straight to the phone in her bedroom. She dialed a number and waited for an answer.

"Sasha." Charlotte answered the phone, "Charlotte, you were right." Sasha admitted, "You should've listened, Sasha." Charlotte said.

"What can I do to get Bayley interested in me again?" Sasha worriedly asked.

"Well..." Charlotte thought for a moment. "You do something like wear perfume!"

"Alright, I'll do it." Sasha agrees, "Great! It's not too late. You can come over to my house and pick out whichever perfume you want!" Charlotte said as she looked at her clock.

"Okay. I'll be there in five minutes."

Charlotte Room

"Are you ready to see my collection?" Charlotte excitedly asked, "Um, I guess." Sasha replied and Charlotte opened up a huge walk-in closet that Sasha didn't know was a walk-in closet, despite the number of times she had been to Charlotte house.

Charlotte walked in and turned to the left while Sasha followed. There was just about everything inside the closet. Belts, jackets, jeans, tank tops. Charlotte finally stopped in front of a shelf with seemed to be about thirty different perfumes.

"These aren't all of my perfumes, though. There are for amateurs, like you." Charlotte tells Sasha not phased by Sasha glaring at her when she said amateurs. Sasha looked at all of the perfumes on the table. There were so many different scents that Sasha didn't know which one to pick. After about a minute, Sasha picked up a mint scented one.

"Mint. Good choice. Everyone likes mint." Charlotte says approving of Sasha's decision, Sasha twisted off the cap and sniffed it. "This does smell really good." Sasha said. "Spray this on yourself tomorrow and Bayley should totally start noticing you more." Charlotte instructed.

The next day, which was Saturday, Sasha went to Bayley house again. They were both sitting on the floor in her bedroom.

"Why does your da-?"

"Hold that question for just one second." Sasha interrupted Bayley. She got up and went to the bathroom. Once she got into the bathroom, she took the perfume bottle from her pocket and sprayed it over her neck and arms. She put the small bottle back into her pocket and walked back into Bayley room.

"So, what were you asking me?" She asked her, "I asked you why your dad-" Bayley paused and sniffed the air. "What's that smell?"

"I dunno." Sasha lied. "What does it smell like?" Sasha asked, "It smells like...like...mint." Bayley answered confused we're the smell coming from. Bayley looked at Sasha, "Is that smell coming from you?" Bayley asked her.

"Yep." Sasha said nodding her head. "So, you think it smells good?" Videl asked again.

"Yeah..." Bayley answered. A second later, she had a strange expression on her face. "Are you okay?" She asked concerned if the heart virus is coming back.

"I...I...I'm fine!" Bayley said. Her nose started getting tingly, which made it hard to speak.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Sasha asked again growing more concerned. "Sasha, I'm absolutely fine." Bayley assured her only to get another strange expression on her face. "A...a..."

Sasha could see where this was going. She grabbed a tissue out of her pocket and waited...

"*Achoo!*"

Sasha handed Bayley the tissue. She could've sworn she felt a small gust of wind after Bayley sneezed.

She look the tissue out of Sasha hand and blew her nose.

"That sounded painful." Sasha commented, "You don't always sneeze like that, do you?"

Bayley sniffled, then chuckled at Sasha's question. "No, I have no idea where that came from." Bayley answered, "Oh. Well, now that that's over, what were you-"

"*Achoo!*"

This time, Sasha knew that there was a gust of wind. She took another tissue out of her pocket and handed it to Bayley.

"Thanks, Sasha." Bayley said sheepishly. "No problem." Sasha said. "Bayley, do you have seasonal allergies?"

"No. I never have." She answered. "And you don't look like you have a cold." Sasha said, "Sasha, I'm fine! There's nothing wrong with me!" Bayley assured her.

Bayley knew that Sasha and her mom were the most worried that the heart virus will come back. Bayley mom doesn't hide it but Sasha does although Bayley can easily tell Sasha is afraid that Bayley will get sick again.

"Bayley no person should ever sneeze like that!" Sasha said, "It was just two sneezes!" Bayley replied disliking that Sasha is being paranoid, "Yeah, two sneezes that could power a windmill!" Sasha said while shifting her position on the floor, making the mint scent blow around in the air.

"Sasha, sneezes can't power wind-*achoo!*"

Sasha hair blew around on her head. She then looked at Bayley with an expression on her face that said "See?"

"Okay, maybe that one could power a windmill, but honestly, I'm perfectly fine!" Bayley assures her again but Sasha doesn't buy it,

Bayley felt an overwhelming sneeze coming. She turned her head as far to the right as she could and sneezed.

"That's it, I'm gonna find out what's wrong with you." Sasha said grabbing Bayley face with both of her hands and moved her head around, looking at different parts of her face.

"You look perfectly normal...I don't get it!" Sasha said, "I've been trying to tell you that nothing's-*achoo!*-wrong with me, yet you insist-*achoo!*-that I'm sick!" Bayley protested. "You might not be sick, but something's making you sneeze a lot!" Sasha said. Then, a thought struck her. She moved away from Bayley and waited for a few seconds.

Nothing.

Then she moved her face right in front of Bayley.

"*Achoo!*"

"You're allergic to my perfume." Sasha said, taking it out of her pocket and looking at it. "But how? I thought that you thought that it smelled good!"

"It does smell good, but that doesn't mean that I can't be allerg-"

"Since I'm wearing it, you're practically allergic to me!" Sasha exclaimed.

"Sasha," Bayley said, placing her hands on Sasha's shoulders again. "It's *achoo!* okay!" Bayley smiles at her. "All you have to do is *achoo!*wash it off!"

"Okay." Sasha said then started laughing, "What's so funny?" Bayley curiously asked. "You and your uncontrollable sneezing!" Sasha answered after calming down.

"It's not that funny." Bayley pouted as she crossed her arms. "Oh, don't worry. The way you sneeze is cute." Sasha complimented making Bayley blush. "I'll be back in fifteen minutes." Sasha stood up and started walking out of the room, then stopped at the doorway. "I hope you don't sneeze yourself to death!"

Bayley smiled. "Don't worry, I won't!"

Sasha finished getting the mint smell off of her body. She grabbed the bottle, examined it, and chucked it out of the open window. She didn't give it back to Charlotte because she thought that Charlotte started the whole entire mess. She was even beginning to think that she didn't have to always do something new to keep Bayley interested in her.

"So it's all gone?" Bayley asked Sasha who nodded, "Good. I've had enough of sneezing. Why did you that perfume on, anyway? You don't ever wear perfume." Bayley asked, "Charlotte told me that a girl has to do something new to keep her girlfriend interested in her. I started thinking that you weren't interested in me anymore, so I asked her how I could get you interested in me again. She said that I could use one of her perfumes. All that happened was you being allergic to it!" Sasha explained.

"Sasha, you don't have to do new things just to keep me interested in you. I'll be interested in you no matter what." Bayley tells her, "I realize that now. I feel like an idiot." Sasha says but shakes her head in disagreement. "You're not an idiot."

"But I-"

"Sasha, it's okay. You didn't know I'd be allergic to it." Bayley said and grabbed her hands.

"But-"

"You didn't know that I'd be allergic to it." Bayley repeated but Sasha still had an upset look on her face. Bayley gently kissed her on the cheek.

"You okay now?" Bayley asked with a smile. "Yeah." Sasha blushed and smiled back.
