Chapter Five: Put the seatbelt on and stop being such a baby

He remembers.

He remembers.

HE FRICKIN REMEMBERS.

Okay so when is the next flight to Peru? And how do you change your name these days?

Why didn't he say anything before? Was he just waiting for an opportunity to blackmail me? Jerk.

Thankfully, by the time lunch break finally rolled around I had had no more lessons with Taylor and since I had a study period as my last session of the day, there was no chance of me having to bump into Mr Arrogant again today. I got into the cafeteria shortly after the lunch bell had gone and I was pleased to see Jenna waiting in the queue for hot food which meant that I could just slot in with her (I know, queue jumping is bad and sooo annoying but if the chance is there ya gotta take it).

"Oy miss grumpy, what's up with you?" Jenna asks me, trying not to laugh at the moody expression that had been spread of my face since first period.

"Two words," I reply, "Taylor Summers."

"Technically that's two names not two words..." she says, and I whack her arm in response.

"Not needed Jen," I huff, and she can no longer hold in the laughter as she releases her splutters, gaining odd looks from all the other students around us.

After ignoring the idiot until I'd got my food (jacket potato with baked beans and cheese in case you were wondering - yum) and sat down, I finally answered her questions of what had happened.

"He remembers. He remembers who I am, he remembers what happened that night, everything. And unless I tutor him in English, he'll reveal it to the whole school," I explain, and the two of them immediately go quiet.

"Well shizzle...." she whispers.

You see, while for many people at school losing their virginities may be as insignificant as chucking away their old food wrappers, it was rather a big deal for little miss innocent (yours truly). And I'd rather the whole student body didn't find out that I'd done the deed at sixteen. I suppose the only way I could prevent my big news from quickly becoming the talk of Evergreen Academy was to go through the torture of tutoring Taylor Summers, a small price to pay really.

The rest of our conversation was diverted to various other topics throughout the lunch hour and my study period went quite swiftly too considering I was making my way through a history textbook that appeared to be 2828271 pages long, with text so small even those with the best eyesight in the world would require maximum power glasses.

At the end of the day I said my goodbyes to Jen and waved her into the bus before making my way to the student car park round the other side of the school. I'd gotten half way there before the memory of my antics this morning came to mind and I realised my car was sat on the drive at home, and I'd just seen the bus leave the school gates.

Well bummer.

Unfortunately the wind hadn't died down since this morning and my hair was already resembling something similar to a birds nest, but since I had no alternative I began to make the journey home, thankful that I knew of a back route I could take so that I didn't have to walk along the side of a dual carriageway.

I'd walked around twenty metres around to the front gates again before an arm was stretched round my right shoulder and I was steered in the direction I had just been walking away from. Before I could turn to see who was kidnapping me - a kidnapper who smelt rather nice - their voice hit my ears.

"Where'd you think you're going stalker? Can't let you walk home in this weather can I? I saw your little performance with your car this morning - rather entertaining I must say. Have you ever considered joining the drama club?" my new neighbour enquired, and I stopped dead in my tracks.

"I'm actually fine with walking," I say, and then thank him (sarcastically of course) for his compliments. He must have seen me struggling with the car and yet he did nothing.

But alas, the scene from after first period occurred again and before i had taken another step I was pulled away to Mr Arrogant's car. Despite me trying as hard as possible to resist his efforts, his strength greatly outmatched mine, and before I knew it I was sat in the front seat of Taylor's silver convertible refusing to put my seatbelt on.

"Sara put the seatbelt on and stop being a baby. I'm not starting the car until you put it on," he stated for around the seventh time.

Doesn't he realise that that's the point?

"I hope you realise we can stay here all night - the gates get locked in a couple of hours and I'm sure you'd love to be cuddled up with me in this small car overnight," he smirks.

Bleurgh.

Sighing I silently admit my defeat and click the belt into place, scowling at Taylor's laugh as he pulls out of the parking space and out of the school gates. Clearly he wasn't as dumb as I perhaps may have thought, since he'd managed to put me in my place already.

Thankfully at the speed Summers' was driving it was only a short journey home and as soon as his car pulled up onto his drive I leapt out of the car and round to my house.

"Don't I get a thank you stalker?" Taylor asks, his signature smirk present on his face yet again. I had begun to want to smack it off his face, and I'd only been in contact with the guy for a day.

"Thank you," I mumbled and turned to put my key in the door.

"I'll see you later then stalker," he called out, and I turned to him puzzled.

"Oh didn't you know?" he continued, "your mum invited us round for dinner this evening - wear something hot and you might have a chance at getting some of this," he gestured to his body and walked into his porch, not without sending a wink my way of course.

I think I was stood on my doorstep for a good five minutes before I finally came back to reality from my flabbergasted state, and as I finally stepped into the house I shook my head to and fro.

I can't wait for this day to be over with.

Please note that this chapter has NOT been edited so I apologise for any grammar/spelling issues that may arise.

Sorry it's taken two weeks to upload this next installment; I've been very busy with school and have already fallen victim to the menace that is writer's block.

The photo is of Mr Taylor Summers, played by Francisco Lachowski.

Question of the day - What's your favourite school meal? Do you have one?

As always, thank you for reading!
