The Same Promise

A knock came on the penthouse door. The bidders froze slightly before turning to the door. Ota got up and answered the door, to reveal Sakura.

"S-Sakura?" he stuttered, looking at the girl with disbelief. Eisuke immediately tuned in and stood up. "Sakura?!"

"Hey." she waved at them, speaking with a casual tone as if nothing too much every happened to them. Eisuke gathered his best friend into a hug, and Sakura allowed it for a few seconds before pushing him away with a wry chuckle.

"Alright, that's enough. I'm scared Steffen might kill me." she giggled, gesturing to Jenna, who was staring at them. Sakura's words caused the girl to laugh slightly before getting up, heading to Eisuke's side.

"Good to see you again, Sumiko." she grinned. "How was the meeting?"

She was gesturing about the meeting with Soryu, to which Sakura nodded to. "It went fine. I think this might actually work."

"Well, the Foxes haven't seen you in a while and they hadn't heard from you in a while. You might want to visit them sometime today."

"I was planning to. Anyway," she turned to Eisuke again. "Mind if I take a room? I just need it for a couple of nights. Nothing too long."

The CEO nods, "Your suite is still yours. You can go ahead and go inside. You still have your card?" Sakura flashes the golden elevator key card, along with a door card for her suite.

"Excuse me, but I still have places to go. I'll catch up later I promise." she says hurriedly before running off, the bidders staring after her.

~*****~

After giving the Foxes a heads up about her visit, Sakura showered and changed into a new set of clothes. Heading out to the lounge, she found the bidders all talking about the next auctions. "Hey, I'm heading to LRN, wanna tag along?" she offers, fixing her bag.

The bidders turn to her and Eisuke shakes his head. "We can't right now. We still have an auction to discuss. Give greetings to them for us though, I suppose." "Sure." she shrugged and headed out the door.

She made it to the restaurant with no troubles and once she entered, she was greeted by the smell of fresh food and the sound of happy chatter. She entered quietly, so as not to be noticed, as she approached the front counter.

Samantha, Mica, Paris and Angel were seated as Cecilia worked in the kitchen with her husband. They were apparently talking about Samantha's upcoming wedding, to which Sakura had been invited to via phone call from the couple themselves.

"Hey girls," she greets them as she sat beside them, making them all turn with surprised smiles. "Sakura! We haven't seen you in a while. How's everything been?" Angel greets, placing her cup of water down.

"Good, what about you? Especially you, Sam. Your wedding's coming up in a few weeks. Got your dress and such yet?"

The blonde shakes her head with a small, silly grin. "Nope!" "What?! Why?!" She asks, looking at the bride-to-be with wide eyes.

Mica chuckles beside her, "She was waiting for you." she answered for the girl, "She wanted all her friends to go shopping for her dress with her."

"Well... I have four days off for the next days so we can get the last things ready if you wish." Sakura shrugs, waving to Cecilia and Atsumu, who greeted her from the kitchen with happy waves and smiles.

"Finally!" Samantha gasps, grinning as she excitedly bounced in her seat. "How about tomorrow?"

"Sure," Sakura beamed as the Foxes all came to the counter, where the girls were seated. "Anyway, where's Olivia? I would've thought she-"

"She had some business to attend with Jenna, remember her cousin?" "Really? Jenna was just in the lounge when I left." "Don't worry, Olivia left 10 minutes before you came."

"Alright then, anyway, how's everything been with your job?" Sakura turns to Riki, who smirks confidently.

"Smooth. What else would you expect from the Foxes?" He answered smugly, crossing his arms, making both Sakura and his wife, Angel, roll their eyes.

"Whatever. I came here for a little food, recommend anything new?" She turned to the rest, and Kenshi grins. "Boss made some new things for the menu, take a look and have a pick."

He handed her a menu, and she recognized some new dishes. "Oh whoa, when did Boss learn to cook this many dishes?" She muttered, looking over the foods.

"I taught him a few things I learned from my mother." Cecilia answered from behind her, making the hacker turn around, watching as she handed Hiro a tray of food, the ginger walking off to serve a table by the back.

"Cool, I'll just take a small plate of yakitori. And just some rice and breaded fried pork cutlets. Medium serving." She turns to Kenshi, who nods and gestures to Atsumu, who gives a thumbs up and begins cooking again.

"So this place has been blowing up, huh? How's business here anyway, haven't checked in since the opening."

"Pretty good," Kenshi nods, sitting beside Sakura. "It's really successful here."

"Beardy's been earning more than in Japan, at least." Takuto snickers, slurping down on a bowl of pork noodles, but then Samantha reached over to his food. "Hey! That's my food!"

The Foxes shared a small laugh together as the two lovers fought over the food, Takuto eventually, and surprisingly, giving up after Samantha promised... something.

"As much as this was fun," Sakura says, getting up after finishing her food. They spoke the entire night, and now, it was already 8:30 pm. "I need to go home. I have some business to attend to."

"Alright! We'll see you here at 10:00 am tomorrow!" Mica grins, waving as Sakura exited through the door.

She walked through the dark streets, arriving back at Tres Spades with no trouble. Once she entered the hotel lobby, she noticed a small commotion by the entrance. "What's happening here?" Sakura noticed a familiar redhead, Mai Fukui.

She had last seen the model when she came to Dubai for the first time. "You can't kick me out of that room!" she complains, stomping her feet angrily as she, surprisingly, kept balance in her almost 7 inch heels.

"We apologize, Ms. Fukui," the receptionist said, rather uncomfortable. "Your savings have been taken away. You're no longer able to pay for your stay."

"I paid in advance!" she insisted angrily as Sakura watched on for a moment longer, a smug grin threatening to spread across her face.

"Yes, but you've apparently been spending your money in the casino... That, and along with all the shopping boutiques and such, you've used it all on that. I apologize."

Staring at the receptionist with disbelief, she begins to shout again, saying that she was a guest, but Sakura had had enough. "Alright, that's it." Sakura cuts in, glaring at the former model. She caught up with news, catching news that she was cut off from her contract with her modeling agency.

"Fukui, just leave, it's not going to work anytime soon." The redhead girl scoffs, "And who are you to tell me that? It's not like you own the place."

Sakura chuckles, brushing hair away from her eyes before smirking cockily. "I don't. But I'm one of it's biggest supports and sponsors. I can kick you out if I wish, and I'm sure Eisuke would agree to that as well."

"Oh yeah? Prove it!" she challenges, hands on hips as the receptionist watches on, biting her lip before widening her eyes at someone behind Fukui.

"Alright. Get out of my hotel." Eisuke's voice ordered coldly from behind Mai, making her whirl around to find the bidders, all standing behind her. "Hmph," Sakura giggled from behind her, but the ex-model couldn't care enough to turn around as she widened her eyes.

"I'm not saying it again. Get out of my hotel, or I can get security to do it." Mai still stood there, dumbfounded. Eisuke gestured for some guards, but Sakura raised a hand, not wanting to cause a commotion. "I'll take care of it, Eisuke. Haven't really done much in a while anyway."

"Let's go, Fukui." she grinned smugly at the girl, who still refused to move. She turned to Soryu and snuck a hand into back pocket, grabbing his gun. The mobster jolted slightly at her touch, but the hacker turned back to the model and pointed the gun at her lower stomach, making sure she shifted her body so that no one but her and Mai could see it.

"Just get out quietly and I won't shoot, got it? Let's go. And don't try screaming, or I'll shoot you immediately. No one will care, understood?"

Nodding, she let Sakura lead her out. Soryu stared after her, along with all the other bidders.

He was different now. He wasn't the same man as a few months ago. But two things stayed the same in his life.

It was the same girl he still loved. And it was still the same promise he kept to himself.

To love her forever.
