Lose You Too

Sakura comforted her fiance until he was finally calmed enough to speak. Once he was, she turned his head up to meet his eyes. He looked into her serious looking orbs, tears streaming down his face.

"Kioshi..." she whispered quietly, "What happened?" she noticed him bite his lip and avert his gaze for a moment. "If you're not ready to tell, I'll wait until you are." she smiles gently, stroking his hair. He shook his head. "I'm fine... I'll tell you tomorrow, I just need sleep, okay?" he said with a meek smile, finding that he wasn't ready yet to speak about it at all.

Two days had passed since that night and Kioshi still refused to speak to Sakura about it. He took a day off again, for the third time since then. Sakura had left to do her shift at Ichigo's bakery, she was due to be back in 2 hours.

But somehow, in the past 2 hours she was gone as well, Kioshi had managed to break another plate and drop a picture frame. He'd also cut himself from the shards of the frame and plate themselves. Sighing, he ignored his bleeding feet and trudged into the laundry room of their home to grab the broom.

Sweeping up the shards of glass, Kioshi looked back at the floor, which had blood covering it. He looked back on the mess he needed to clean up before going to grab the first aid kit and mop. Then a picture from the broken frame earlier catches his eye. The picture sat on the hall drawers in front of him.

He sighed and took a peek at the picture, where a cute girl with him smiled, the two holding hands. He felt the rage and pain bubbling inside him again and Kioshi pounds a fist onto the drawer, causing another picture frame to topple over.

He widened his eyes when he heard a thud and found his fiancee catching the frame, which held the picture of him and her on their engagement day.

Sakura looked up to her fiance, who had a pissed look and angry or sad tears flowing down his face. She placed the frame down and stood to face him.

Staying silent, Sakura removed her jacket and opened her arms, letting the taller man fall into them as she embraced her lover, feeling his tears fall onto the blouse she wore. She stayed quiet, continuously stroking his hair.

"Why...?" came his quiet whisper. "Why did it have to be her?"

Sakura didn't know anything about what had happened a few nights ago, and recently, her fiance looked to be holding up quite well but she knew there was still something bothering him. Plates don't simply disappear or break by themselves, neither do mirrors or picture frames.

Sakura didn't answer, knowing he would tell her soon, but now, right now, she knew that he needed the quiet comfort and an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on.

Almost 20 minutes passed with the two of them embracing each other, Kioshi crying in Sakura's arms. "Ready?" she asked quietly, pulling away to look him in the eyes.

He looks down before nodding, taking a deep breath and leading her to the living room, where he sat her down.

She noticed it. Those little things that told her everything. Kioshi's hands were curled into fists, he had a sharp glare in his eyes and his teeth were gritted.

"He..." Kioshi began to speak about a mystery man. "That bastard... He took her from me."

"Huh...?" Sakura muttered, dumbfounded as she looked at him. She didn't know what he spoke about, but she got a small hint when his hand traveled down to his stomach.

"That fucker took her from me... What was his name?" he asked, sounding rather insane. "Oh? Yeah, that son of a bitch, Soryu Oh, leader of the Dragons was it? He shot her... He fucking took my sister from me!!!"

Kioshi's mad yells shook Sakura, but what scared her more was the fact that Soryu killed Kioshi's sister. Why...?

"My sister... Her husband, he called me those few nights ago while I was getting air from the balcony. He told me my sister was missing... The morning after, when you left for the bakery, he called me again and told me my sister popped up at a hospital nearby. She passed the night before after some ginger boy brought her in."

"Ginger?" Sakura asked, her mind instantly moving to the thought of Soryu's ever faithful team mate, Ryosuke Inui.

"Yeah..." he said quietly, breath and hands shaky. "They took my sister in for a test but once they came back, he was gone. They reported her dead and tried to contact me and her husband, it took them the morning to call."

Sakura's eyes filled with tears. She felt absolutely miserable, pained and hurt. No... Sakura was supposed to finally have an older sister... She would finally have a true family with siblings, and a loving man by her side.

"I was willing..." Kioshi said bitterly before chuckling with the same venom in his low voice. "I was willing to let it all slip, for your sake. I was willing to forgive him and his entire group for killing my father... My mother's already in the hospital and now he took the most other precious woman in my life..."

Sakura decided that maybe, Dubai wasn't such a good option to come back to. Deciding that she'd rather not have anything else happen, the hacker made a note for Eisuke and the rest of the bidders about her leave and left Dubai to return to her home city in Paris.

"Mr. Ichinomiya," after knocking politely and giving a respectful bow, Kenzaki, Eisuke's ever loyal right hand man and servant entered the penthouse lounge. "A letter has been delivered to be specifically handed to you and the rest."

"Leave it on the table and get back to work." the brunette CEO nods and gestured to the table in front of him. Kenzaki nodded and left the letter on the table as ordered before leaving with a respectful bow.

Reaching over, Eisuke grabbed the letter, making all the bidders turn. He opened the envelope and began to read aloud for the men to hear.

"I apologize for this inconvenience, Mr. Ichinomiya. But due to some circumstances with my fiance and men, I will be canceling our little 'deal'." Eisuke read out, furrowing his brows in confusion. All the bidders, also puzzled, listened carefully to the writer's words. "Also, from this point on, I will be no longer doing underground hacking work and research so please, don't bother me anymore about this. I will be quitting my job as a hacker and will be moving forward to a new job, a new home and a new life."

They didn't need to read who wrote it now. The group of bidders only knew one underground hacker who they had a job for at the moment. Sakura.

"Wait, what? Is there an explanation as to why they're leaving?" Baba asked, peeking at the letter. Eisuke shook his head. "Not as I can see..."

"Well now how do we finish this job?!" Soryu asked, a tad frustrated at Sakura's sudden leave and drop. Maybe she had a good reason to drop their request but the fact she was suddenly also leaving her life long job as an underground hacker made him a bit pissed.

Being an underground hacker, Soryu could have a bigger reason to speak to her and see her. But if she was now leading a more peaceful and normal life, how the hell would a mafia mobster fit into that?

"Hold on, did that say fiance?" Ota interrupted. Eisuke looked back to the letter and nodded with wide eyes. "Sakura's engaged...?" they asked in unison, except for Soryu, who already knew about everything.

"Maybe she's leaving her underground work for the marriage?" "Does that mean her team's disbanding?" "It would be good to have a normal life too, I guess."

The bidders' chatter was never ending, but it occupied Soryu's mind. Suddenly, his phone began vibrating and he look at the caller ID, which just showed a strange number. Eisuke gestured for everyone to shut up with a glare and Soryu picked up, speaking with a cautious voice.

"Hello?" A familiar, feminine voice said, making Soryu hesitate. Why the hell was she calling him now?

"Oh? You there?" Rin asked. Soryu replied with a low 'yes'. "Good. Now, you're probably wondering what the hell happened with Sakura, right?" "Yes." "I won't give you full details, or anything regarding it at all actually, under my boss' orders. Though, at this point, she's not my boss anymore, huh? I'm still loyal though, she is my college and university best friend."

"Get to the point," he snarled, putting the phone on speaker.

"You're lucky I even called you and letting you put this conversation in speaker phone, you don't even deserve this." Rin scoffed, "Now, I'm calling you to tell you right now that it's all your fault. Sakura's decided to disband the whole hacking team and even though she helped them get jobs through old friends and contacts, they're struggling to lead a normal life now."

Soryu glared at his phone, which sat on the table, between the group of 5 in speaker mode. "Sakura is in Paris again and is working somewhere new. She's engaged to her boyfriend, Kioshi, now. And she told me to call you and just in case you didn't want to listen, tell you off."

Her next words stabbed the mobster over and over. "She wants you as far from her as possible. She said she just didn't want you to interrupt and ruin her life anymore, or Kioshi's. You've broken him enough."

Soryu, confused, was about to speak in question when Rin continued. "If you don't know what I'm talking about, think back on your family, your team and your innocent victims. I'll say nothing more, Sakura and I wish you luck, Oh. You too, bidders."

And the call ended with a click. What the hell just happened?

"What did you do, Soryu?" Ota asked, looking to the mobster, who had swiped up his phone. "I don't know and I just don't care anymore." he answered shortly and quietly, leaving the lounge to his suite. Eisuke's glare burned into his back, but he ignored it.

Once he tried to shut his suite door though, Soryu felt something stop it and he looked down to see a foot blocking it and he opened it to see Eisuke glaring at him. He suddenly felt himself pushed backwards and pinned to a wall with his old time friend pinning him back, holding him by the collar of his shirt as well.

"What the fuck did you do this time?" he asked and Soryu shrugged. He honestly had no clue. "I don't know. Apparently something happened before, and I don't need to know. It's happened and it won't change just because she's pissed at me about it."

Eisuke, tired, tried a different approach. "Then what the hell did you to yourself?" Soryu widened his eyes but looked at him with confused eyes, still.

"I thought you promised to me in high school and college that you'd do anything to find out and fix whatever bad thing happened to you and your future lover."

Soryu merely scoffed. "That was years ago. I was naive and stupid back then, I can't keep promises forever. Some are broken along the way to make new and better ones."

"That's a fucking lie!" Eisuke shouted. "Maybe you broke some promises, but honestly, you promised me and Sakura and you kept this up until this point. You promised us you'd never lie to us. Not only that, you'd promised you'd always fix anything for us, just like we would when you need it. You promised you'd keep faith in us and our friendship..."

Soryu looked at his long-time friend and for a moment, Sakura appeared in his mind. He could try. He could try to fix everything and keep his promise...

But it was beyond broken at this point. Their friendship, relationship... It wasn't just broken, it was nonexistent.

"You don't understand." Soryu looked down with a bitter chuckle, making Eisuke look to him, confused. "I already lost her."

~*****~

As Sakura and Kioshi lay in bed that night, in each others arm with content smiles on both their faces. Everything was so jacked up at this point, was it even worth repairing?

Apparently not, because Sakura decided to start fresh. Kioshi heard her talking on the phone, telling her right hand woman to send letters out to her team regarding the disbandment. She took a full time job at the cafe she had helped Ichigo build in Paris.

Kioshi looked at the woman he loved so much. The same woman who made so many sacrifices just for him to be happy. But then his mind drifted back to his sister and mother and father. He only had his brothers left at this point and by some miracle, the beautiful angel he had beside him right now.

He furrowed his brows and closed his eyes, feeling tears threatening to fill them. He released a sigh and spoke out his thoughts, little did he know that his fiancee was listening.

"I already lost them... I couldn't protect them..."

"Am I going to lose you, too...?"
