As promised, Sakura stopped by LRN the next day, where all the girls were ready. "There you are! Let's go! We have tons of stores to go through today!" Samantha grins and grabs the girls, dragging them to the limo Sakura had come in.
"So what's our first store?" Sakura asked once they settled in the car. Samantha shrugged. "We were hoping you knew some places, nothing too special..."
"You're counting on me to pick you a place for a wedding dress?" Sakura asked, "You've seen the places I go to."
"That's why we're counting on you!"
~*****~
"Welcome to London Bride Couture, girls." Sakura grins, stepping through the glass doors of the bridal shop.
"Whoa," Mica looks around the stunning dresses in awe, "This looks expensive already." she chuckles.
"It is." Sakura replies with a nod, beginning to head to the racks. "Now hurry up and look through, I closed the store today for our visit."
"In five minutes?" Angel raised a brow, making Sakura smirk as she closely inspects a lace dress. "Are you underestimating me?" she retaliates, giving the woman a small side glance, as if challenging her.
"Nope. Just asking, got a problem with it?" Angel chuckles. "None whatsoever." came the answer.
"Sam! Try this one on!" By now, Jenna and Olivia, had found a dress for the bride to be. Olivia originally planned on coming, and Jenna, who was supposed to attend a meeting with her father today, after being invited by Sakura, tagged along.
The other girls watched as the blonde was pushed into the changing rooms with the dress. The two cousins stood a few meters away from the changing room as the girls all began gathering to look at the dress once Samantha was finished trying it on.
"Umm... Guys...?" Samantha muttered hesitantly, opening the door slowly. "I don't really think this... is me, you know?"
Blushing red, the girl steps out in a rather revealing wedding dress. The chest area was a bit too open, the back is definitely revealing, judging by the way it dips down almost to her hips.
"Whoa, okay, a bit too extreme, don't you think?" Shay says, wide eyed. The detective had also come along with Beatrice and Paris. "That..."
"What's wrong with it?" Jenna asked, looking at the dress. "I'd wear it."
"It's just... it would be good on you, it's just not her type." Cecilia said, urging Samantha back into the room. "Looks like something she'd wear in the bedroom."
"True." Olivia chuckled.
"Well, back to the racks, let's go girls." Sakura waved and everyone headed back to the racks and began looking for dresses for the bride.
"Umm, guys? I need help with my dress..." Samantha called out, but everyone was already back to laughing and looking about.
~*****~
"I think we found it." Sakura grinned as Samantha stepped out the changing room, dressed in a halter top wedding dress lined with beads, crystals and tulle.
"You look gorgeous, Samantha." Cecilia smiled at the girl, looking at the intricate patterns of the dress. "It was a good pick from you Shay, you too, Angel, Paris and Beatrice."
"Yeah!" Samantha said excitedly, looking at herself in the mirror. "It's beautiful."
"Quite expensive though." Samantha said with a frown, looking at the small price tag on the dress. But then Sakura shuffled in her bag, along with Jenna, Olivia, Angel, Cecilia, Shay, Beatrice, Paris, Mica. They all pulled out their credit cards.
"What do you think we're here for?" Sakura chuckled, before giggling. "But then again, I'm sure you can pay for it, your husband wouldn't mind paying for his wife, right?"
Samantha laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of her neck. "Of course. I'll take it."
The girls leave the shop, deciding to go grab lunch before heading back home to take care of different errands and jobs. Samantha's dress was to be delivered to Sakura's mansion so that she could get ready there on her wedding day.
"That was fun, huh?" Angel turned to the hacker in the limo. They had finished their lunch and everything. All the girls requested to be dropped off at their respective homes, Cecilia stopping by at the pharmacy.
Sakura turned back, only to find the woman looking out the window, avoiding her eyes. "Yeah," she replied quietly, a bit suspicious. Angel hadn't said much since they left the shop. She seemed troubled by something...
"Angel?" "Hm?" "What is it?"
The woman turns around, "Huh? What do you mean?" "There's some thing bothering you, right? I can tell."
"...That obvious, huh?" "Not really, took me a while to catch on actually. Spending time with Riki helps you with that, huh?" "Apparently so." she chuckled.
"It's just... Hah...." Angel bites her lip and lowers her head, at loss on what to say. "How do I explain this...?"
"Just say it," Sakura urged. "Or I'm gonna start making guesses. And trust me, you don't want that."
"Okay, okay..." she groaned, rolling her eyes playfully. "I went to my monthly doctor check up last week while Riki went to work at LRN... And well, my doctor said that-" "ARE YOU PREGNANT?!"
Sakura blurted the question, noticing that Angel's hands had wrapped protectively around her stomach, much like a mother would whenever she carried a child. The woman smiled and looked down to her stomach with the same kind grin.
"Yeah... I'm carrying Riki's child." "YES! FINALLY! I call it to be a girl." Angel was a bit taken aback at Sakura's reaction, seeing as the girl's usually so quiet. She didn't think her to be so excited.
"Okay... But I still need help." Angel redirected Sakura's attention back to her situation. "I don't know how to tell Riki... I don't want him to just freak out or anything about it... What if he's not ready for this child? What if he leaves me because of it...?"
The woman was obviously nervous and scared, a few tears filling her eyes. She felt Sakura's hand on her shoulder as they approached her home. "He's your husband, and he was your fiance and boyfriend before that. You think he would've proposed to you and stayed this long if he didn't want a future with you?"
Angel looked up, biting her lip even harder, drawing a little blood. "I think Riki would be very excited to have his own little one," Sakura encouraged, gesturing for the driver to wait a moment. "Only the boys, you and I. We're the only ones who know about his past and family, and we know how excited he'd be to finally start one of his own. A complete one."
"I suppose so, huh?" "Don't 'suppose'. Know it. As I said, Riki's been your boyfriend, fiance and husband. You've been married for 2 years and been together for almost 9, I think you're ready to take the next step. Don't you want this as well?"
"Of course I do, ever since I got together with Riki." "Then tell him. Everything." Sakura encouraged. "But you can come up on how to do this yourself, right?"
Sakura opened the door to the limo, telling the driver to deliver Angel home, as her home was a bit further into town. "I guess."
"Yeah, call me if you need help." Sakura says, before smirking.
"So all those nights with him finally-" "SAKURA!"

Sakura headed up to the penthouse lounge. She entered, thinking the bidders would be there like usual, maybe drinking or having a chat. But the moment the stepped in, she noticed the tense air. It was quiet, and she looked around, noticing everyone was unwilling to talk.
"Sakura!" A familiar voice called to her, and before she could turn to find the source of the voice, she was tackled by a tight hug. The familiar scent of her boyfriend filled her senses.
"Kioshi?" the hacker was clearly surprised as she returned the hug and shared a kiss with the man. Now that the bidders looked a little closer, though Soryu noticed it by now, Sakura's boyfriend was very good looking. They never noticed the first time, worried about Soryu and all, constantly looking away to avoid contact and such.
Kioshi had come by earlier that day when Sakura left for shopping with the girls. "What are you doing here...?"
"I missed you..." his words were muffled, his face buried at the crook of her neck as they hugged again. "So I flew over to visit."
"What? Just to visit me?" "Duh... I know it's only been a few days but... y'know..."
Giggling, Sakura snaked her arms around his neck and gave him a peck on the cheek. "Well, my trip was going to extend a few more days, so it's great you came... But what about-"
Then the doors to the penthouse burst open. "Sir!" Ryosuke comes running in, Samejima in tow.
"Sir! Sir!" Soryu sighed, watching as the ginger comes running up to him, papers in hand. Kioshi and Sakura stop and watch them, as do the bidders.
Sakura's eyes widen and she bit her lip. Uh oh... Kioshi didn't know yet... She wasn't planning to let him know....
"Sir! We need to leave for business tonight!" Ryosuke says, waving the papers wildly. "The Ice Dragons just got a threat from another-"
"Ice... Dragons?" The name immediately clicks with Kioshi, who clenches his hands into fists, gritting his teeth. Sakura bit her lip and looked down, not wanting to say anything. She was silently debating whether or not to reveal everything, just to avoid anything too crazy.
"You... You're part of the Ice Dragons?" Kioshi turned to Soryu, who looked at him with glaring eyes, nodding suspiciously.
Taking a deep, shaky, unstable breath, Kioshi barely found the scrap of sanity he needed to keep himself from attacking the mobster. Sakura's been hiding this from him?
"Saku...?" he turned to her quietly, sounding like a kicked puppy. "Did... Did you hide this on purpose...? Were you ever planning to tell me...?"
"I was, Kio... I really was, I promise... It's just that I... I didn't want that to ruin us. Knowing that I used to date the man you've... hated this whole time." Soryu hearing that Kioshi hated him hurt him a little more than expected, knowing that it also lowered Sakura's opinion of him even more.
"I trust you, Sakura. But I don't trust this bastard." Kioshi glared at Soryu. He turned to Sakura and leaned in to whisper, "Grab your things... I don't need us to be around him, I can't trust his moves." he said, looking into her eyes after before whispering again. "I won't report to police. Unless he does something stupid."
Soryu heard a little bit of it in the silent room. He heard 'report to police', and that scared him. By pure instinct, his mind not registering that Kioshi, well, he wasn't a threat. Yet, at least.
He pulled out his gun and pointed it to Kioshi, clicking the safety lock off. Kioshi turned to the mobster with wide eyes, but a little bit of anger and challenge in them, as if daring him to do so.
Fearing the worst for not him, but for his girlfriend, Kioshi quickly moved and tried to place Sakura behind him. But thinking he was about to grab something or trying to fight something, Soryu pulled the trigger, hitting Kioshi in the stomach.
Sakura, who was now standing behind him, shrieked in horror, collapsing onto her knees beside her boyfriend. Sakura pulled off her jacket and removed her boyfriend's own. She carefully lifted him for a moment, just to slip her jacket under him, before wrapping it around in an attempt to stop the bleeding,
She used his jacket as a makeshift pillow for his head. "Kio? Kio? You with me?"
Kioshi's vision was hazy, and as much as he tried to focus on the figure of his girlfriend in front of him, it wouldn't work as it only got more blurry by the passing second.
He felt her warm hand on his cheek and he could hear her voice. "Kio?! Hey! Stay with me, stay with me, babe. I'll call Beatrice and her boyfriend over, or if I have to, I'll take you there... Stay with me..."
He strained to keep his eyes open, but soon, the pain was too much and he lost consciousness, just as he heard the doors of the lounge opening.
~*****~
Sakura left with Beatrice and Luke, and the bidders were completely silent in the lounge. Soryu was regretting the moment he shot Kioshi. He knew how important the man was to Sakura, but he was posing as a threat. What if he called police? Mamoru might've not been able to stop that.
Meanwhile, Sakura sat beside Kioshi in his bed, holding his hand. Luke and Beatrice left to go over to Beatrice's home, wanting Sakura to have some time with Kioshi alone.
The hacker clutched her boyfriend's hand tightly, afraid that if she let go, he would leave her.
She could feel tears pooling in her eyes, tears of anger. She gritted her teeth. Why would he do that? He promised her. He promised her a long time ago he would do anything to make her happy, that he would never hurt the innocent.
And he broke both of those promises in one night, and against the person she loved most. She whispered into the quiet room, listening to the beeping of the heart monitor, letting her tears fall.
"He took everything from you... He killed you..."
"But I promise, I'm here to pick you back up every time you fall."
