Don't Take Them Away

One month passed and Izumi never saw Mr. Oh again, despite his promise and her parents constantly assuring her he would return. Tomorrow was her parents' wedding.

"Please, mommy! I wanna come!" Izumi pouted, tugging on her mother's dress.

Applying her lipstick, Sakura shakes her head. "No, Izumi. It's for adults only, besides, I already got someone to watch you, okay?"

Her eyes glimmered with hope. "Is it Mr. Oh?"

Sakura bit the inside of her cheek and sighed. "Sorry, Izumi... I tried to call him but he said he was busy." she lied.

"O-Oh...." she muttered, lowering her head. "But don't worry, I called Akira-chan's mother to come over and watch you. Fuji-san and her daughter are coming okay?"

"Fine... But just because it's your wedding tomorrow." she pouted, crossing her short arms over her chest. Then she smiled sheepishly. "I'm still the flower girl, right?"

Sakura laughed and nodded. Then the bathroom door opened.

"The boys are here and so are their girls. Are you ready to go?" Kioshi asks, placing a kiss on his daughter's head. "Fuji-san and her daughter are also here."

"Yeah come on, Izumi."

~******~

"Have fun, Kio. Be careful." Sakura gave one more kiss to KIoshi before he left to have his own bachelor party with the rest of the boy Foxes.

The girls remained. "Thank you so much for watching  over Izumi, Ai." Sakura thanked again, handing a piece of paper to Akira's mother. "There's my number and Kioshi's. There's snacks I prepared for all three of you in the fridge. There's chips and cookies in the cupboards and I cooked some ramen. It's in a pot on the stove."

"Alright... Sorry to ask this but do we perhaps have a room just in case Akira falls asleep?"

"There's a lot of guest bedrooms, make yourselves comfortable. Mine and Kioshi's room is locked so you'll know which ones are guest since their unlocked."

"Alright... Thank you. Have fun!"

Sakura walks out with the female Foxes in tow. "So the wedding's finally happening, huh? You better be ready to wake up early tomorrow." Olivia smirks. "We'll be pulling you everywhere to get ready."

"Mhm, do that and trust me, I'll do worse on your wedding day with Inagaki." Sakura retaliates, making Olivia click her tongue, flushing red slightly.

"Thought so." Sakura said proudly, making the others giggle as they entered the bar. "Let's get started. Bartender! Get us some shots!"

"Come on, Sakura! Your hair isn't finished yet!"

"Neither is her make up, Angel!" "Don't put the make up on before the dress! It's white, you know?! Remember what happened at my wedding?"

Sakura sat with a small smile on her face, laughing at her friends' panic. "Calm down, we have 5 hours."

"That's not enough time!" they shouted back, making Sakura laugh again.

"Fine, let me get my hair done first. Then the dress and then the make up. I don't want my dress smelling like hair spray." Sakura sighed, getting up and sitting in front of Angel, who held an iron curler in her hand.

She began to fiddle with her hair and within the span of 45 minutes, she was finished, a proud grin etched on her face. She sprayed some shine spray and hair spray into Sakura's hair.

Sakura was about to compliment Angel's handiwork when she was suddenly pulled by Mica and Samantha, Angel pushing her towards them. "You can compliment me later. Get into your dress." she smirked, pulling out her phone to fiddle with it.

"Hurry up, Sakura. This is hard to get the ruffles in set." Samantha urges her into the dress.

"Wait... You guys forgot something!" Olivia's voice made the three and the others turn towards them. They spotted a girl beside her, holding the same bag as Olivia.

"Jenna!" Sakura smiled, waving at her. Jenna waved back with her own smirk, just live Olivia's.

"What did we forget? Did we need to adjust something?!" Mica panicked, looking over the dress on the mannequin.

"No, you forgot these." they pulled out smaller bags from the pink bags they carried. Lingerie.

"Oh, yeah!" Angel clapped. "We still haven't picked, huh?" She took a peak in the bag.

"Oh god... These are all..." she pulled out a set.

"Too open..." the rest of the girls finished, apart from Olivia and Jenna, who giggled and smirked. "Of course, your wedding night has gotta be special, right?"

After spending 30 minutes arguing over everything, Sakura gave up and picked the least revealing one. It was still really revealing.

"Okay, we're running out of time, get into the dress!"

Time ticked by slowly as the wedding venue filled with guests. Kioshi was already ready, talking to some guests and the Foxes.

"Finally getting hitched, huh? Treat her right, Tsukino." Kenshi said, patting is back.

"Of course. Are the girls still not ready though?"

"There's another hour before the ceremony, calm down."

Just then a commotion by the entrance of the venue made them all turn. "It's Eisuke Ichinomiya and Ota Kisaki!"

Kioshi sighed, ruffling his hair. "Forgot we invited them... Dammit."

"Izumi!" Hiro's call for Kioshi's daughter made him turn to him in worry, only to spot his daughter running towards the men. For Soryu.

"Mr. Oh! You came back! You're late for your promise!" she pouted. Soryu smiled kindly and patted her head. "I was busy, sorry, Izumi."

The rest of the bidders watched the scene with smiles or smirks. "That's a nice dress... Who gave it to you?" he looked at his daughter.

"From mommy and her friends! I'm the flower girl for mommy and daddy's wedding with Akira-chan!" she stated proudly, lifting up her basket of flower petals.

The fact that his beloved was getting married to a man other than him made Soryu frown, but he decided to not let the expression take over, knowing Izumi would start asking questions.

"You look beautiful." he complimented, trying not to let his voice sound too stiff.

"Thank you! You look very nice too! I-" "Izumi! Look at what I found!" Another girl in the same dress as Izumi calls after her, and Izumi turns to Soryu. "I have to go! Akira found something. I'll see you later, Mr. Oh!"

She runs off, making sure she didn't drop any petals in the process from her basket.

Time passed quickly and the ceremony began. Everyone was seated, Soryu and the bidders one row behind the Black Foxes, who were seated at the front.

Music began to play from a small orchestra a few meters from the altar. All eyes turned to Akira and Izumi, who skipped along the aisle happily, throwing red and white rose petals in the air, letting it flutter on the aisle.

Following them from behind was none other than Sakura, dressed beautifully in white as she held a bouquet of flowers, her slightly see-through veil covering her face. It was like she was floating rather than walking down the pathway.

Everyone watched as she made her way to the life she's always dreamed of. Here she was, only mere steps away from having a family of her own. Just like she's always wanted. Whispers and mumbles filled the venue.

"She looks so pretty..." "Married at last, huh? Never thought boss would get married so soon."

She arrives at the altar, smiling as she takes Kioshi's hands, clasping theirs together tightly. And soon, the ceremony starts. The venue was silent, but all Sakura could hear was the loud thumping of her heart, and she could almost hear her groom's completely in sync with hers.

She threw occasional side glances to her daughter, who stood silently by the side, waving to the crowd with a wide grin. Then the priest, with a big smile, announces.

"Should anyone here present know of any reason this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace."

Everything was quiet for a moment, and the priest opens his mouth to speak once more when a tall figure stands. "I do. I object to everything here, especially since I need those two little ladies up there. The one in white and her little princess."

Gasps and murmurs break the thick atmosphere, and heads turn to a big, burly man who wore dark glasses and black gloves. Other than that, he was dressed in a classical tux and bow tie.

"What..." Kioshi mutters, watching him leave his seat and towards them. Of course, the couple's first instinct was to shield their child. "What do you want from my family and I?" Kioshi asks, stepping forward, hiding Sakura, who held Izumi in her arms.

The man chuckles, pushing his sunglasses further up the bridge of his nose. "I'm afraid you're wrong there, I still wonder how my bride ended up engaged to such a dumb ass like you. You don't pay attention much, do you?"

"Whoa, hold on," Sakura cuts in, "Your bride? Since when?"

"Since you were adopted by your 'parents', of course. Had they never told you?" the man laughs and Sakura furrows her brows. "The hell are you talking about?" she questions, pushing Kioshi back to take care of their daughter.

"You didn't realize, huh?" the man sneers, leaning closer to Sakura, who backs up. "Did they never tell you, babe? They adopted you only because they were in debt, and you, you my darling just had enough heritage money from your late biological parents to cover half of the debt they had. The other half was payed for with you. You belong to me, ever since you took their hand and became a part of their family. They promised me a marriage with an intelligent and beautiful woman and a child to take over my mob group. The moment I found out you had Izumi, I came to take you home."

"And what the hell makes you think I'm going with you?" "Because you have no choice, you're part of the payment for their debt, you just never prepared for it."

Sakura thought back to her foster parents... Fucked up little bastards...

"Well go find someone else, I'm already engaged and marrying someone."

"Yeah," he scoffs, "Me."

Sakura snarls and was about to call for security when the man suddenly pulls a gun. Of course, nobody panicked, seeing as Sakura's group and the Foxes have dealt with this. And there was the bidders who've dealt with Soryu.

"Call anybody and I'll shoot everyone in here, one by one." he threatens. "You're not possibly thinking of breaking our deal, are you princess?"

"I told you I am. I'll pay for the other half now, with actual cash." "No you're not, because I've been waiting for over 6 years now. And soon, I need somebody to take over the mob. Waiting longer for a bride who has guts to stare down a gun barrel, and even longer for a child is not on my agenda."

"Well, looks like you'll have to make space, because there is no way I'm leaving with your sorry ass. Secu-"

"KENSHI!" A gunshot echoes through the still air and Olivia rushes forward to catch her boyfriend, who was shot by the mystery man. "I'm fine, Liv, I'm fine..." he soothes, trying to stand, but the man points the gun at him.

"Sit down, don't move or I'll shoot your girl, too." "You-" "It's fine, Olivia."

"Now, I told you not to call the security, didn't I? Now come along before I shoot your groom, too."

Before Sakura could reply, the man yells out something of a different language she couldn't decipher and more men from behind pillars and from the windows come in, tearing Kioshi apart from Izumi, who yells out as she was picked up and hauled over a man's shoulder like a sack.

"Izumi! Calm down, princess." She does as told and stops wiggling, then another click of a gun echoes and everyone turns to Soryu, who has a gun pointed to the head of the man carrying his daughter. The leader of this whole group quickly grabs Sakura, holding her to face Soryu, his gun cocked towards her head.

"Shoot my right hand man and I'll shoot your best friend. Or should I say, crush?" Soryu snarls at the taunt and places a finger on the trigger, the man mirroring his moves.

"Look boy, I have many brides lined up for me, I can kill her but still take the child. Don't make me." He adds a little pressure the trigger. "Put it down."

Soryu was about to shoot when Eisuke stands and slaps the gun out of his hand. "Don't."

The man chuckles. "Exactly, now no one move. I'm taking her and don't bother fighting or I shoot, got it?"

He gestures for his men, and drags Sakura out, who was quiet, not wanting anyone else hurt. She looks into the eyes of Kioshi and mouths 'don't worry'. Her groom trembles and stares as she disappeared, before the entire thing registers in his head and he runs out to catch them.

But by then, his daughter and bride were dragged off into a van, which was now speeding down and out the street. He ran back inside to find the entire ceremony in a rather calm state. Eisuke, being the leader he was, of course was giving out orders to everyone.

Kenshi was being bandaged up as everyone steered about and around, listening and doing the tasks given to them by Eisuke, determined to get Sakura and Izumi back. A hand on his shoulder shook him out of his reverie.

Kioshi looked to Soryu, who shook his head and spoke, "I'm sorry for this entire thing. I should've brought my men."

Kioshi was too stunned to say anything as Soryu apologized again and bowed before walking off to speak to the other bidders.

His legs suddenly unable to carry him, Kioshi falls onto a seat and stares at the crowd and then to the big cross at the altar front. He sighs and stands, looking to Eisuke for any tasks he could do.

"God, don't let them disappear like this... Don't take them away from me."
