Can't Wait 'Till Tomorrow

"Hey, Beatrice." Sakura greets as she exits her room to the living room, where the brunette was sipping tea, reading.

"Hey, you hungry?" She greets with the question, "There's cereal in the cupboards or pancakes I have over there on the table."

"I..." For a moment, Sakura looks up to her room, where her pills were. "You know what? I'm good, I'm going to a cafe anyway. I'll be back later." she grabs her light cardigan and was about to leave, before turning back. "Um, I don't have your number or any keys...?" she laughs sheepishly.

The brunette grins, grabbing a set of keys on the coffee table in front of her, along with a slip of paper. "Had a feeling. My number's on the paper, and that's an extra pair of keys. But anyway, I won't be here today, I have work at Luke's clinic so be careful outside. Make sure you hide your face 'cause I heard the Interpol agents are looking for you everywhere now, meaning here, too, since Tres Spades been built up."

"Oh, thanks..." "Not only that, the boys from what I heard from Greene, have been looking for you in the streets so be careful." "Thanks. I'll see you tonight."

"Maybe, I might have a late night shift with Luke so don't wait up." She replies, finishing her drink before standing. "You sure you'll be fine without breakfast?"

"I'll get some at that bakery down a few blocks. Thanks, though." "Got it, see you later."

After changing her clothes because of Beatrice's words, Sakura walked out the condo. Hoodie up and a thin black scarf around her, covering her mouth and nose, she treads through the streets, keeping her head down.

She looks up for a brief moment to see a cafe with a rather strange name: The Busy Bean.

She sighs, hungry and with no other choice, enters. She wraps her hands around the pills in her pocket before letting her hands out, making sure her pills wouldn't fall out. She walks to the front counter where a rather good looking brunette stood.

"Hi! Welcome to Busy Bean, what would you like?" He smiled, showing off his pearly white teeth as he grinned.

Sakura pulled down her scarf slightly, smiling slightly at the boy. "I'll just get a mocha with a pump of vanilla extract." "Not eating anything?" the boy chuckled as he gestured to the cups, motioning for her to pick a size.

"Just a medium, and no, I'm good." she chuckled, pulling out her wallet. "Don't really feel like eating anything."

"Haha, alright," the man smiles, finishing Sakura's drink before handing it to her and much to her surprise, a white chocolate chip cookie. "Here you go."

"Huh? I didn't get the cookie, I-" "It's cool, you need to eat something. I'll pay for it." "No! It's fine, I-" "Just take it okay? But I don't think I caught your name."

"Sakura. Sakura Sumiko." "Whoa, you Japanese?" the man's eyes sparkled. "Um, yeah, how did you know?"

"My sister in law's Japanese. I know how to speak it a little." he smiled bashfully, scratching his head. "Anyway... I know this is kind of weird but my shift's over in 5... If you're catching a table, mind if I join you?" he smiles.

"Haha, sure... But I didn't get your name, either." "Kioshi, and I now it's Japanese. My father loved Japanese culture." "Cool. I'll see you at that table in a bit, yeah?"

"'Course."

~*****~

"Oh? You sounded like quite the rebel." Sakura giggled, sipping her drink again. "Yeah, my parents had no idea what to do with me." Kioshi laughs, shaking his head. The young man was back in casual clothes, dressed stylishly in a blue shirt, a light grey sweater over it with dog tags around his neck. In light wash jeans, he had combed his hair up.

Sakura had to admit, he was quite hot... No lie. The man was apparently Soryu's age, 28 years old with dark brown hair, deep hazel eyes and plump lips, pearly white teeth... She did have a little crush on him though, she had to be honest.

"Haha, anyway, are you from here?" Kioshi asks, drinking his own coffee which he bought earlier.

"No, I'm actually from Paris with my parents being Japanese." she replied, smiling as she placed her half empty cup down. "I moved to England and attended school there where I met my best friends. We separated for college and met again about a year ago actually."

"Wow, sounds like you weren't meant to be separated." he laughs before letting Sakura continue on. "But yeah, my friends are here actually, they moved here with me for business."

"Really? If you don't mind me asking... Who are your friends?" "Promise not to freak out or get weirded out?" "Promise."

"It's Eisuke Ichinomiya and Soryu Oh, actually." Shock was apparent on Kioshi's face but he smiled. "Damn," he chuckled, "It's difficult being friends with someone as famous as them, huh?"

"Definitely," Sakura giggled. "That's why I just avoid Tres Spades as much as possible." she lied, Soryu's face flashing in her mind for a moment. She looked down to her drink.

"Anyway, you haven't told me much about your family. What're they like?" Sakura changed the subject, looking at him with slightly sad eyes.

"Well... Actually, I was raised by a single mother since I was 4, along with my younger brother and older sister." he replied with a bittersweet smile. "My father died in the force. He was an Interpol agent chasing down some mafia gang named the Ice Dragons."

Sakura almost spit out her drink, "What?!" she was shocked. Soryu always left the innocent out of his gang's business...

"Yeah... Apparently, from what I heard, his old partner said he was shot by a raven haired guy. They don't know if it was an accident, but it seemed intentional since, you know, no one else was there."

She wanted to blame Soryu, but that was stupid since he would've been only 4 at the time, too... But then that would mean the person in charge at the time would've been... His father.

"Oh, wow... I'm so sorry..." Sakura bows her head slightly, her anger boiling slightly inside of her, hate directed to Soryu's father. "It's fine... How about you? You never told me about your family!"

"Well, actually... I was an orphan, adopted by a family later on under the name 'Maki' but kept my real name. My biological parents died in a hostage shooting thing when they were shopping..." tears gathered in the girl's eyes. "My adoptive parents separated and I was forced to live on my own since high school. My foster father cheated on my mother and she found out and left him, leaving me alone. I didn't want to choose and I was in high school then, so with my biological parents' will and money left for me, I made a living in England and stood on my own two feet."

"Whoa... I'm sorry about that... I didn't-" Sakura raised a hand. "It's cool. I asked first I guess," she laughs. "Anyway, time passed real quick, I've been here for an hour now." She stood up.

"I have to go. It was nice meeting you, Kioshi. I might come back tomorrow." she grinned with closed eyes and her white teeth showing. "I had fun. I'll see you around."

She gave him a small wave and a smile before walking out the door. Kioshi stares at the beauty as she leaves through the doors of his workplace. The moment he saw her an hour ago, he swore it was love at first sight.

Smiling to himself, he chuckled and walked out, taking the opposite direction from Sakura. He had no doubt he wouldn't see her again, and just the thought made him smile.

Sakura walked down the streets, hood up and scarf covering her face once more. But even that couldn't hide the smile and sparkle in her eyes.

'Kioshi, huh...? I can't wait 'till tomorrow."

A/N:

This was not actually the direction I headed for, I was planning on making her meet someone else but, eh, this was good to, I suppose. Well, I hope so.

Kioshi might actually have his own ending if you want, but if I can't stop my imagination, I'll probably make an ending for him. Of course, there will be an ending with Soryu in it and after this, maybe you readers might want another part.

I might write one of their future and all that good stuff.

But anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter.

Ciao!
