Because I Love You

"Up early smoking, eh?" Olivia turns to find Sakura smirking at her. "Gotta get rid of the stress somehow." she replies, grinning as she took another puff.

"Mind sharing?" Sakura sighs, looking at the box laying in front of Olivia. The blonde lifted a brow, "Didn't know you smoked." she answered, although reaching into the box and pulling one out, chucking to the hacker along with a lighter.

"Barely," she laughed slightly, lighting it as she stuck it into her mouth, "Last time I did it was back in senior year in college. Quit ever since I got into university. But you know, the stress with Oh's got me. Might as well take advantage, I don't need to cut myself."

"You cut?" Olivia asked quietly, eyes wide. "Shocked?" Sakura laughs. "I know. But yeah, I used to. Stopped ever since I got together with Soryu."

"You don't do it any more, right?" "Nah, I decided he wasn't worth it. Hurt myself over a guy who didn't even respect me? Not worth it." Sakura shrugged, shaking her head.

Then, the hacker leaned against the rail of the balcony they stood on. "So, I heard you got a cousin who stayed back in Dubai? Who is she?"

"Ah, Jenna?" she sighed with a small smile. "She's the daughter of the CEO of that big company. What's the name?" "Steffen Corp.?" "Yeah, she's a rebel, never really liked her status."

"Think I've heard of her..." Sakura racked her brain, looking for an answer. "Ah, I think I saw both of you at an IVC before, correct? You snuck into the auctions without Steffen's father knowing."

"Ah so you know us." "Of course, you two were standing around, there weren't enough seats for you." "Can't deny it. It was my idea."

"I was going to tattle but I decided against it, especially when you bid for that vase for like, 10 million." "Mhm, we sold it to some mafia gang for 50 mil." Olivia chuckled, finishing her cigar before putting it out.

"Smart. I think we'll be good friends." Sakura smirked.

"Sakura!" Rin comes running up to the hacker as she ate breakfast. "I have some good and bad news. What do you want to hear first?"

"Good." She answered, stuffing a spoonful of cereal into her mouth.

"Alright, a group of people offered to pay us 45 million to work for them. We need to hack into some systems so they can steal something." "Bad news?"

"It's in Dubai... And the people hiring you... Well, you won't like them." she answers hesitantly. For a moment, Sakura ponders over it. This was a good 45 million here... Enough to actually build more bases for the team around the world...

But at the same time, the bidders' faces flash in her mind. "I'll take it. Contact the client and tell them yes. I'll be there by tomorrow." she orders, finishing her cereal. "And call James and Michael, tell them to begin packing some of my things."

"Alright." Rin nods, though hesitant, then rushes off."

"It's a job... I can't let him get in the way."

Within 12 hours, Sakura steps out the jet, Rin and the girls following behind her, onto the familiar grounds of the Dubai airport. "Here we are. Is the limo here to pick us up?"

"Yes, it's right outside." Rin nods, gesturing for Sakura and the Foxes to follow her.  They all climb into the limo, Sakura instantly falling asleep due to jet lag and a nightless sleep.

The driver had dropped off the other girls at LRN, where they all surprised their husbands, boyfriends, and fiancés. And now, Sakura and Rin were heading to the place Sakura despised the most.

The car stopped right in front of Tres Spades.

"Why didn't you tell me the job was at Tres Spades?!" Sakura growls at her assistant, who looks down at her feet. She knew how much it pained her boss to be here again, but she knew how painful it was to be away from her boyfriend as well.

"Well... If you knew, you wouldn't have accepted the job... This is a big 45 million, Sakura!" she tried to explain, biting her lip.

"So what? We make enough money to support the group and give payment to the team.." Sakura snaps, fixing her computer bag on her shoulder. "We're going back right now, and I don't ever want you, or the team, to accept any jobs in this place ever again, got it?"

"But-" "But nothing, I've had-"

"Sakura...?" A quiet voice made the hacker turn around as a hand clamped on her shoulder. There, standing behind her was Eisuke, his left hand on her shoulder, his right holding a girl's hand. It was none other than Jenna Steffen.

"Ah, so you're Sakura? The bidders've been looking everywhere for you." the girl grinned happily, looking at Sakura, who shook off Eisuke's hand from her shoulder.

"I don't care. You fund me, and now I'm gonna disappear. Bye." the girl waved, about to walk off when she suddenly collided with someone in front of her. Mamoru and Shay.

"Sakura?" The girl asked, looking at the hacker ridiculously before grabbing her wrist and dragging her aside. "What are you doing here?" she asked, looking at her.

"I was supposed to be here for a job, but apparently, I was hired by Ichinomiya." "I helped you get away, why would you come back?!" "It was a job, okay? I needed to do it."

"Wrong choice. Look, Eisuke know that you're here now. And he will be tracking where you're going from now on. You don't have any more options after this."

"Well I'll hide out in Japan or something. I'll work it out somehow." "You can't go back to Japan... Or maybe..." "What?" "I have an idea, but be ready to leave tonight. I'll get Mamo to cover us again and we leave."

"Alright...."

That night, around midnight, Shay and Sakura sneaked out with the help of Mamoru. Luckily that day, Sakura didn't see Soryu around, but she wasn't sticking around to see him. The two girls had driven a few miles away from Tres Spades and Sakura found herself in front a high class neighbourhood, standing in front of a condo.

Shay knocks and within a few minutes, a slim brunette with pine green eyes opens the door. "Ah, I thought you weren't coming for a moment." she smiles at Shay, but then turns to Sakura with a bashful smile.

"Hey, the name's Beatrice, Beatrice Stoykova." she smiles, shaking Sakura's hand. "Shay said you'll be staying with me a few days, just to hide out from some people, right?"

The raven haired hacker nods with a small grin of her own, fixing her bag. "Those look uncomfortable, come on in. I prepared the spare room already."

"Thanks..." "Well, actually... I have to go, I need sleep, too you know?" Shay smiles, shaking her head before stepping out. "Thanks for the help, Beatrice. I'll talk to you later, you too, Sakura." And she disappears into the shadows, her black outfit hiding her until she drove off.

"Well, that's that, come on in, Sakura." Beatrice grins, opening the door wider. "You can go shower if you want, the bathroom's upstairs, the second door to your left. And your room is three doors down to the right. I'll make something for you to eat and drink."

"You don't-" "It's cool. Now hurry up."

"Thanks."

The two had a lively chat, speaking about different things. Sakura had learned that Beatrice was in a relationship with someone named 'Luke', she had 'Carpal Tunnel' syndrome apparently, making her unexpectedly drop things when too much pressure was added to her hands. The young woman was apparently Bulgarian, speaking her native language along with Japanese, Russian and English, studying Ancient Greek and Bulgarian.

After their long chat, it was already 1:00 am. The two decided to turn in, saying good night before heading to their respective rooms.

Sakura was laying in bed, staring up to the ceiling with an empty feeling. She turned to her left, "Hey, Sory-" she stopped herself when she realized that his side was empty and cold. She sighs, chuckling with a bitter smile right after.

I'm hurt, I'm alone, I'm depressed, I cry myself to sleep,

And I hate myself, all because of you...

But I hope you're doing okay,

because I love you.
