Everybody Hates Snakes
Grace sat on the couch in the game room. She heard Lloyd walking around upstairs. Ever since he had come, Grace had felt like she had a little brother. That including sibling rivalry. They had only gotten in a couple quarrels, but it had only been a couple days. Overall he was a sweet kid.
She got up to wander around the bounty went heard loud voices coming from the bridge. She snuck by the door and listened in. "Dad!" she heard Lloyd yell. "My friends are risking their lives out there! And you're trying to...gain an advantage?!"
"I'm sorry, but I can't help it. Ever since the Devourer bit me, evil runs through my blood."
"You left me for so long. Where did you go?"
Grace winced at the sadness in Lloyd's voice. She knew how he felt, what is like to lose someone you loved. At least the one he lost is alive, even if he is the Dark Lord. She listened to the conversation again.
"Every boy has a chance to grow up to be who they want to be. But I never had that choice. But you still do. You don't need to be like me! Your uncle has a plan for you! And even if it may be to stop me, we have to follow our own destinies. After the ninja defeat Pythor, I'll need to leave again."
"Then why don't you leave right now!" Grace silently gasped.
"Lloyd-"
"No really! Go back to whatever evil place you came from!"
Suddenly the computer buzzed to life as a message from Nya sounded. "Code red! Operation stealth was a total bust!"
"We're gonna need reinforcements!"
Lord Garmadon started to push a button, but Lloyd pushed him away. "We don't want your help! And we don't need you here! Maybe it would have been better if you hadn't come back at all."
"If that's what you feel." And he left.
Grace quietly walked into the room at that. She pretended she had not been eavesdropping, she felt guilty for listening in on their conversation in the first place. "What happened?" "Nya called. They're in trouble!" Lloyd looked at all the buttons, trying to decide which one to push. They both pushed a few buttons, that activated the coffee machine.
"We're trying to help, Nya!" Grace cried. A map of their location showed up. "Time to take things into our own hands," Grace muttered.
"The green ninja-" "And the seer!" "Are here to save the day!" Lloyd stepped out wearing his green ninja uniform, and grace stepped out wearing one of the ninjas' old plain black uniforms. They ran to the computer again.
"Lloyd! Grace! Lord Garmadon! Is anyone there?!"
"It's us, Nya!" Lloyd shouted. "But my dad...left. How are you guys holding up!" There was only static for a little bit, then Nya's voice rang out loud and clear. "We're fine, But we're a little held up at the moment! Our weapons have been taken and we're locked in cages!"
"Where did your father go?" Zane asked. Lloyd's hung down. "I-I told him to leave. He was trying to steal secrets. My dad's going back to where he came from." "But don't worry," Grace replied. "We'll save you!"
"You're not ready!" Sensei replied. "Your destinies are too great!"
"We're coming!" Lloyd ran to the weapons closet. When he tried to take out a shuriken, all the weapons fell on him. "...Ouch..." Grace calmly stepped over him and noticed a bow and arrows laying in the back. "Ooh," She said as she grabbed them. "I used to take archery classes. These might come in handy!"
The next thing they knew they were making their way up the mountain. Lloyd was doing his best at rolling and flipping to the top. "Whoosh! Ninja roll! Flying drag-whoah!" He was cut off as he tripped and fell. "Ninja recover!" Grace couldn't help but snicker as his childish antics. They climbed down the hole the ninja went down.
They saw the ninja, Nya, and Sensei Wu stand up as they saw them. "Let's do this!"
They both ran down the steps, though Grace a bit ahead since she had longer legs. Suddenly, Lloyd tripped and fell right into Grace, sending them both tumbling down the rest of the way and right into the middle of the crowd of snakes.
"Well!" Lloyd exclaimed, "if we don't meet again Pythor! Unhand the ninja, or suffer humiliation against the green ninja!" The snakes all looked at each other, then burst out laughing. "Oh yeah! You and what army!"
Lloyd stuttered for a moment. "Uh, how about my army of fists!" He did a few punches and stumbled a bit in the process. "And me!" Grace cried. "The...archer!" "The archer? Really?" Lloyd asked. "Like you and your army of fists could do any better." "Hey!"
"Or THIS army!" They all turned to see Garmadon standing in front of the skeleton army. "Dad!" "Lloyd! You helped me realize I do have a choice! If there is anyone who is going to threaten Ninjago,it better be me!"
"The skeleton army?" Pythor asked. "Why do fight with you? You betrayed them long ago!"
"Because everybody hates snakes!" They all laughed at that. Then the battle began. Punches and kicks were thrown left and right. Pythor pulled a lever, causing the cage the others were in start to drop towards the acid pool. Lloyd ran over and pulled another lever, releasing them.
Grace was doing fine until her hood got caught on a sharp rock sticking out of the wall and pulled her hood off. Pythor noticed and scowled. "The seer! I thought I ordered you to get rid of her!" A thick purple tail wrapped around her neck. "I won't let you get away this time!"
"Guys!....h-help!" She gasped for air. The edges of her vision started to darken, when she found herself laying on the ground at the feet of Lloyd. "Th-thanks." He smiled.
They ran with the others as they fought off any snakes in their path. Pythor bumped into Cole, who held his scythe to his neck. "Going somewhere?" "Oh dear." Cole snatched the fang blades from him as he tuned invisible. "Hey! Where'd he go?" "Who cares!" Kai shouted. "We got the fang blades! Let's get out of here!" Everyone ran to out the hole and onto the ship.
