~Previously on 'Second Place' in Chapter 10 Part 2~

So basically remember how Nagisa asked Y/n on that date in Chapter 9? Yea well...basically Nagisa kinda stood Y/n up, and it really hurt her feelings. For a whole week Y/n was really distant from Nagisa, but then randomly cam to the conclusion that she should just use her words and ask him what happened? She plans on asking Nagisa for the truth the next day. Oh! And at school Y/n keeps harassing her new bestie Itona. 

||Y/n's P.o.v||

The next day, I woke up late for school. By the time I ran into the classroom everyone was already in there and arguing. Karma, who was standing next to Nagisa at the front of the class, looked back at me before looking back to watch the girls bicker with the boys,

"Oh hey Y/n..." Karma said nonchalantly.

I nodded at him in recognition and walked over next to him, "What the hell is going on in here?" I asked Karma.

"A crime of passion..." Karma stated

"Uhhh...okay?" I responded.

While I was watching the chaos unfold, Itona approached Karma,

"Karma." He said, "I'm skipping today. Show me a good spot."

My eyes narrowed at Itona,

"Well that's rude Itona. You're not gonna say hi to your best friend??" I retorted.

Karma pushed me away by the face, before replying, "Wow, you can talk! Yea sure." He told Itona before they started walking away. I held my hand to my nose where he had pushed me,

"Karma, you jerk!!!" I shouted after him.

It didn't matter what I said to him though, he was already gone wit Itona. I huffed and fixed my hair, even though Karma didn't really mess it up,

"Hey, uh Y/n, Are you okay? Karma pushed you pretty hard."

'Oh shit that's right, Nagisa!' I thought to myself. I quickly spun on my heels and faced him, heat started to envelope my face already,

"What, me?? Oh you know me, if I'm not crying it didn't hurt that bad! I'm just a little embarrassed!" I blurted out.

"Oh okay-"

"Hey let's not talk about me, let's talk about you!! Why did you totally leave me hanging the other day? That was like super uncool!! And it kinda hurt my feelings, it's like you didn't want to hang out with me or something!!" I rambled on.

I continued to ramble and babble nonsense until Nagisa cut me off,

"Uh...Y/n...your nose is bleeding..." He told me.

"What?"

I wiped my hand under my nose and when I looked at it and saw blood, I screeched. 'Karma...that stupid idot, I'll kill him!!' I shouted in my head. I looked at Nagisa again,

"Hey how about this. I'll forgive you for standing me up if you take me to the nurse." I told him, wanting this whole thing to be over.

Nagisa blushed a bit and avoided my eye contact,

"Yea sure..."

While we were walking to the nurse, we walked in complete silence. Well we did, until Nagisa spoke up again,

"Uh Y/n...I just want to apologize for canceling on you yesterday..." Nagisa spoke up.

"Hey, I already said I'd forgive you--"

"No, like you said, that was totally uncool of me, even if you already said you'd forgive me!!"

Nagisa stopped in his tracks, causing me to stop as well. I looked back him, his face was really red,

"The real reason I canceled on you was because, I got nervous, and so I chickened out!!" He blurted out.

Now it was my turn to blush. He was looking at the ground and his face was really red, I felt pity for my lovely Nagisa. Why the hell was he so afraid of me, I'll never know...I walked up to him and put my hand on his head, just like he does for me. He looked up at me kinda confused, and so I gave him the thumbs up,

"Hey! It's literally all good now!! I don't know why the hell you got so scared of me in the first place, but I totally understand!! Next to just talk to me!!" I told him happily.

I removed my hand from his head and he nodded at what I said. We both started walking together, but this time while we were walking he grabbed my hand,

"When I said I was scared...I didn't mean it like that..." He muttered.

My face heated up to its max temp and I looked the other way, "O-okay..." I replied.

We walked the whole way to the nurse's office holding hands...

"What?! 'Justice'?! I totally thought it was 'Masayoshi!!' Kayona exclaimed.

I looked over at my classmates all huddled around...Justice? And sighed, names are such a boring topic. There's no way I'd want to be involved in that conversation. I sighed once more, looks like I was going to have to just play on my phone and be bored until class started,

"What's with all that sighing?" Karma asked sitting in at his desk, located next to mine.

"Oh nothing...I'm just succumbing to boredom..." I sighed out looking down at my phone.

When Karma didn't reply I looked up and he was already walking away to Justice's desk!! What a damn traitor!! And he wonders why I have trust issues when it comes to him!!

"You've sure got it rough, saddled with such weird names..." I heard Karma say

I huffed and got up from my desk and trailed after Karma. Looks like I am going to be partaking in this stupid conversation...

When I got over to Justice's desk Karma was already talking about himself. When I got over there I realized I'd actually have to pay attention to what stupid Karma had to say,

"I actually rather like my name. Guess some kids inherit their folk's strange tastes." Karma said.

Everyone around him nodded in agreement to what he had to say,

"What about you Y/n?" Kayano asked, turning everyone's attention to me.

I felt myself getting a little nervous since I was put on the spot so suddenly,

"Huh?!? What about me??" I asked.

"You're name!" She continued, "It's not Japanese, is it?"

"Yea! I've been wondering about that too! Why'd your parents pick out your name?" Nagisa added.

I felt my face heat up at the sound of Nagisa's voice, I cleared my throat a bit,

"It's nothing cool, my parents just liked my name I guess...and no it's not japanese, it's american, even though I've never been there..." I told him pressing my fingertips together.

Suddenly Koro Sensei appeared in our conversation, saying, "I'm not satisfied with how I was named."

"Huh? I thought you liked 'Koro Sensei'. Kayano named you that." Sugino commented

"I do like it. That's why I'm not satisfied." Koro Sensei said.

I tilted my head to the side, "Huh???" I asked.

"There are still two people who won't call me by that name." Koro Sensei said looking back at Mr. K and Professor Bitch.

Koro Sensei looked back at us and his negative energy was totally now present,

"Mr. Karasuma just says 'Hey' or 'You there.' We're not some middle aged married couple!" Koro Sensei complained

"But it's embarrassing for a full-grown adult to be like, 'Koro Sensei!'" Professor Bitch told him.

"Then why don't we call each other by code names instead?" Yada suggested.

"Code names?" Sugino repeated.

"Yea--we make new names for everyone. Like the assassins we met on the island: they called each other by code names to hide their real ones. Don't you think it's kinda cool and assassin-y?" Yada added

Koro Sensei turned his attention to Yada,

"I see. Good Idea!" He praised he.

Koro Sensei went to the front of the room and put this green and white box with a hole on the top on his desk. The front of it was labeled, 'Lottery Box'

"Here's what we'll do." Koro sensei said, pulling out slips of paper, "Write down your suggestions. We'll call each other by the names I pull out of this box."

"Sounds fun, but do we have to think up names of everyone?" Hinata asked scratching her head a bit.

I sat down and stared at the slips of paper on my desk. I grinned and pulled out my favorite mechanical pencil, I was totally gonna write some shitty ass names on here and hoped someone gets one!!

"All right..." Koro Sensei said as we wrote, "Using real names is forbidden all day today!"

I looked back up at Koro Sensei, "What?!?" I seemed to say at the same time as everyone else.
