~Flashback~

||Y/n's P.o.v||

This all started in my second year at Kunugigaoka Junior High...Back before I started sleeping in class and coming in late....

It was any other boring day at school. My mind was distracted by this cute guy in my class, Nagisa Shiota. From where I was sitting, I had the perfect view of him. The only downside of this, was that I had to sit next to this irritating guy. Honestly I don't even remember his name. He has such a weird name that I can't bring myself to remember, I think it's like candy- Carl??

"Karma! Cut that out, no eating in class." Our teacher said.

'oh yea, that's his name...Karma...' I glanced over at him unamused. He was eating (faveorite snack). I could help but stare at the snack in his hand. I wanted some. Karma looked over at me,

"Whatcha staring at Y/n? See something you like?" He teased

I scoffed, "Psh, as if-" The teacher cut me off.

"Okay class, now that we're done with the lesson, I want you all to create a letter to someone using the elements I just taught you. This will be due at the end of the class." The teacher said.

I found myself looking back at Nagisa, 'Maybe I should write my letter to him...' I thought. I looked down at my blank paper, which I would have to turn in to the teacher, 'okay maybe I shouldn't do that for this assignment, but...' I felt Karma poking me with his pencil,

"Staring at Nagisa again? Don't you think that's a bit creepy?" He asked me

My face heated up. I didn't even realize I started staring at Nagisa again.

"Karma stop!" I whined, "I wasn't even looking at him."

Karma finally decided to leave me alone, and I quickly did the assignment before I started writing my other letter:

Dear Nagisa,

I'm writing a love letter to you. Actually, this is more so a confession...

I really like you...A lot...I've liked you pretty much since I first saw you at the

beginning of the year...So yea. And before you do anything with this information,

let me just sum up how I feel, you make me very happy!

Like just seeing you brings me joy.

I know your kind of insecure about your looks, but I don't really care how

you look because you have tons of charisma and charm.

but just so you know, I find you very attractive....

Anyways I'll always support you and your decisions, no matter what you do!

I just want you to be happy, since you always make me happy,

but it would be cool if you liked me too.

I wouldn't mind us dating  and of course I'd like to kiss you, but

regardless of how you feel about me I just hope nothing in our

relationship will change after you read this. Even if you don't like me

like that, I'd still like to be your friend! Hope that's okay!

'No no no no NO! I can't give this to him, what am I thinking?!?' I yelled at myself. I quickly crumbled up the letter. 'No one should EVER read this...I need to burn this...'

Once class was over I grabbed the note and started packing up my stuff. I turned in my assignment, and I tossed the paper in the trash. 'At least that takes care of one thing...' I thought as I left the class.

After practice I was pretty exhausted. The coach made me stay an extra five minutes after practice to run laps because I never show up. It was annoying, but I was just glad it was over, and I could go home-

"Oh, Y/n there you are!" I heard that stupid annoying voice call out to me.

I turned and watched as Karma made his way over to me.

"What do you want Karma?" I asked as he approached me.

"I have something interesting to show you, that I found~" he teased.

I became confused. What could he have that he wants to show me? And why did he wait till after my practice to do so...He pulled out a crumpled square from his back pocket and unfolded it. He held it in front of me. That's when I realized what was in his hand, IT WAS MY LETTER!

"Hey!! Where'd you get that?!" I exclaimed, trying to grab the letter.

He moved the paper just out of my reach,

"You wouldn't believe my surprise when I saw you writing a little love letter to Nagisa in class." He told me , "I thought you had finally worked up the nerve to tell him how you feel, but no."

Karma held the paper above his head, so when I tried to jump I couldn't reach it.

"Then, I thought it was for the assignment," Karma explained " but when I saw you toss it out, I just had to read it, and oh my god, you've got it bad!"

I kept trying to jump and grab the letter, but It was just barely out of my reach.

"Let's took a look at this, shall we!" Karma teased, "Dear Nagisa-"

"Karma stop it!!" I shouted.

"I'm witting a love letter to you-"

"Karma!"

"Oh my God, the more you read, the better it gets. 'I wouldn't mind us dating  and of course I'd like to kiss you-"I Karma mocked.

I finally snatched the letter out of his hand and I quickly ripped it up,

"You asshole!" I shouted on the verge of tears, "That was so not cool!!"

"So not cool?" Karma began, "Oh I'm just getting started, did you really think I didn't take a picture of that letter?"

He showed me his phone, revealing a picture of the letter,

"Hey! Delete that!" I shouted trying to grab his phone.

He dodged me of course, "Now now Y/n, you should probably calm down if you don't want me to send this to him..." Karma threatened

I took a deep breath to calm myself down, "What do you even want??"

"Oh, nothing, just...maybe...buy me something to eat~" he shrugged.

"What??? Are you serious?? Like, now??"

"Yea, what's wrong with that?" Karma asked, "I don't really think you're really in a position to oppose or anything...."

"So you're black mailing me???" I asked in disbelief.

He smirked,

"Probably~" He teased.

I sighed out in annoyance. I couldn't believe this was actually happening to me right now...

"Fine, I guess I can do that..." I told him.

I pulled out my wallet and started counting the money inside. I barely had enough cash for two people.

"K, let's go then, there's this new place I've been wanting to try out, but I didn't want to have to spend my own money." He told me.

Karma started walking away and jogged up to him.I looked up at him,

"You know, you have a really weird way of asking people to be your friend..." I huffed

"Friend? I don't know about all of that....this is more like...."

He thought about it for a second, and he held his chin in his fingers.

"A business transaction!" He exclaimed.

I looked at him unamused for a second. Then I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms,

"Yea right..." I tell him, "The only thing we have in common is Nagisa, so us being friends was bound to happen,.."

Now it was Karma's turn to scoff, "You do realize I'm only doing this to get you closer to Nagisa, right..."He told me.

I stared at him shocked,

"Huh??!? What do you mean???!" I asked, "That's not really any of your concern!!"

"It is, when all you do is stare and gawk at him. And let's not talk about how awkward you get when you try to to talk to him...I'm just trying to give you a little push~"

"By blackmailing me?!?"

"Yea! So if you don't start manning up and talking to him, I'll show the letter to him...and of course for my services you'll be required to buy stuff!" Karma stated happily.

"Are you serious?! This is so uncool!" I exclaim

"Tough shit..."

Ever since then, Karma has not left me alone. We started walking to and from school together because he lived close by to me. Eventually I even forgot about the letter because he stopped bringing it up, and I genuinely didn't mind his company. Of course there are still times when he blackmails me, but for the most part, he's alright. Of course I still don't understand why he bothers doing all this... but I've learned that Karma's just Karma and that's just how he's going to be. I'm still plotting to get rid of that picture though....
