~Previously on 'Second Place in Chapter 28.1~

Basically at school Terasaka decides to be douche  bag and work with Shiro and Itona in order to kill Koro Sensei. Obviously it doesn't exactly go according to plan and the whole class is put into danger. Injured Y/n and Karma give him a piece of their mind before walking off. Karma and Y/n end up making Terasaka carry out their master plan to save the remaining class 3 kids and help out Koro Sensei. It's a success and everyone's a better person because of it. And of course at the end Nagisa makes Y/n flustered, but that's nothing new...

||Y/n's P.o.v||

"One tentacle for each top score..." I heard Nagisa say as I entered the class.

He was with Okuda, Sugino and Kayano, so I decided to see what he was talking about,

"Hey guys," I say as I walk over to them, "What's this about tentacles and top scores?" I asked.

They all looked at me and Nagisa smiled happily,

"Oh Y/n you're back!" Kayano said.

I nodded at her,

"Yep!"

"How was your doctor's appointment?" Nagisa asked me.

"Well..." I trailed off sadly

Suddenly I held out my foot to my classmates, "My ankle is finally all healed! No more bandages or crutches for me!" I exclaimed proudly rolling my food around.

They all stared at my un-injured ankle in awe. I beamed proudly and put my foot back on the ground, showing off a little more by hoping on my previously injured foot,

"That's great Y/n!" Okuda cheered.

I nodded, feeling blush creep onto my face,

"Yes! And while we're on the subject thank you all for taking care of me!"

Nagisa put his hand on my head,

"No problem!" he told me.

I blushed and took a step away from him out of embarrassment. I quickly cleared my throat,

"Uh Y-yea! So uh anyways! What are you guys talking about??" I asked changing the subject.

"Oh yea, you weren't here when Koro Sensei told us this morning..." Kayano began.

"That's true! You missed it because of your doctor's appointment this morning." Sugino said.

"Missed what?!?" I asked, really wanting to know.

"Koro Sensei said that who ever gets the top scores in the class gets to shoot of a tentacle." Nagisa told me.

I stared at him in shock,

"Seriously?!? All we have to do is get the top score and one of us gets to shoot of one of his legs?!?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yea, pretty much." Sugino said.

I spun around in a circle,

"That's insane! Koro Sensei is so cool for that!!" I exclaimed happily, "There're more than enough subjects for us to knock off all his tentacles!!"

"That's the spirit Y/n, we can totally do this!!" Okuda spoke up.

I nodded vigorously at her in agreement, "When are you ever this fired up, Okuda?" Karma spoke up from the back of the class. I rolled my eyes and groaned at his presence.

"What are you getting at red hed-" I began, but I was cut off by Nagisa putting his hand on my head.

"Whoa Y/n, calm down..." Nagisa told me, making me flustered.

"-Well, since science is my one strong suit, I might finally be able to help everyone out!" I heard Okuda say.

"We have our share of high-scoring students here." Kayano agreed, "Acing one subject isn't that far fetched!"

I nodded as well. Suddenly Sugino's phone started ringing. Apparently it was Shindo on the other end. Sugino put his phone on speaker for us to all hear, students started crowding around his desk. Basically we were going to have to step up our game because A class had some serious players on their team. Basically this group that I've never heard of that apparently is on the main campus called the big 5, were going to try and keep us off the main campus. It was a helpful insight so Sugino thanked him but assured him our class' goal wasn't to get out of E class, which was true...

I yawned and stretched as I walked with Karma, Nagisa and Kayano. I was so ready to go home and hit the hay instead of hitting the books like I was supposed to,

"First in every subject, huh?" Kayano said.

"Yea Y/n, how do you think it's going to feel to be the only person in class to fail all your tests...well I guess you won't be the only one, Terasaka will probably bomb everything too..." Karma added.

I was in no mood for his antics so I lifted my arms behind my head and looked at him,

"Shut up...I'll pass..." I tell him.

He scoffs,

"Barely~" He provoked.

I growled at him as I started to get pissed,

"Why are you always picking a fight with Y/n?" Kayano asked.

"Yea Karma, knock it off." Nagisa agreed.

"What, I'm just having a little fun~" He shrugged.

I rolled my eyes,

"You suck!" I tell him lazily.

"Nagisa, Kayano, you guys! Want to study in the main campus library after class tomorrow?" Isogi asked running out the school building.

We all looked at him. I raised my hand like I was in class,

"Uh, question. Are we even allowed to go to the library on the main campus?" I asked

"Don't worry about that! I reserved seats way in advance with finals in mind." He said pulling out the green ticket, "They always shunt the E Class aside til later, so this is practically a platinum ticket for us!" he said.

"Let's do it!" Nagisa and Kayano said at the same time.

I looked at the both of them confused and unamused before I looked at Isogi. I waved my hand to dismiss him,

"Sounds like fun, but no thanks!" I tell him happily.

Nagisa looked at me confused,

"Huh, why?"

I shrugged,

"Oh you know me, libraries aren't really my thing. I'd hate to waste a seat when I know I'll just sleep the whole time! Thanks for the offer though! And don't you worry about me, I'll be sure to study a whole lot!" I tell him giving him the thumbs up.

I looked back and saw Karma walking farther away. I quickly whipped my head back around,

"Okay well, see you guys later!" I exclaimed before turning away and running off.

I heard Nagisa call after me, but pretended that I didn't.

"Hey Karma wait up!" I exclaimed, catching up to me.

He slowed down so I could catch up to him,

"I'm surprised. You didn't want to study with Nagisa?" He asked.

I shook my head like a little kid,

"Heck no! Not if Kayano's gonna be there! Don't get me wrong, Nagisa can like who he wants, but I don't want to be a third wheel-"

Karma started laughing, cutting me off. I looked at him, as my face heated up,

"What are you laughing at?!?" I asked

He stopped laughing and glanced at me before bursting out into laughter again and covering his mouth. In between his fits of laughter he said to me,

"Oh my gosh! Y/n"

"What!?!" I asked.

"I fucking hate you!!" He laughed.

I huffed,

"You're so rude!" I shouted as I pushed him away from me.

He didn't care he just kept on laughing, making me more mad and flustered.

I felt like crying as Koro Sensei zoomed around the classroom teaching everyone at once, "What's wrong n/n-chan?" Koro Sensei asked me. I sniffed as tears started falling out of my eyes onto my paper. I looked at him crying,

"I don't want to study!!!" I cried.

"Hey what happened to the can do attitude you always have?!" He asked in a panic.

Suddenly his body double disappeared and Okajima turned back to Karma and said,

"Don't sweat it Karma. What more does the E Class even have to loose?"

I wiped my eyes and looked at them,

"W-what's going on?"

"Nothing you crybaby-"

"If we win, we can make A-Class do anything!" Kurahashi said, "I'd like them to let us use the cafeteria!"

I looked at her and blinked before I remembered.

"Oh that's right! Nagisa and the others recklessly made a bet with class 3-A the other day!" I exclaimed aloud.

"Well don't put it like that..." I heard Nagisa say.

"Huh?" I say, "I didn't say there was anything wrong with that!! We'll probably do just fine!" I say getting back into the swing of things

Koro Sensei laughed,

"I have an idea about that."

I looked at him,

"About what?" I asked.

"For the prize of course!" He said before moving to the front of the class, "What if we make them hand this over?" He said pulling out a school pamphlet.

"The school pamphlet?" Rio asked.

Koro Sensei flipped it over to the back, causing the class and I to gasp,

"You've already been at the bottom of the heap. That's why I'd like you to experience a lively battle for the top. An assassin must aim for the top--and take it down."

I beamed, and started bounding in my chair in anticipation,

"S-so cool!!!" I remarked.
