~Previously on 'Second Place' in Chapter 18~

Since it's been a while, let me refresh your memory.  So basically after Y/n and the others were successfully rescued from their kidnappers, they headed outside. And NAGISA was being all cute and complimenting Y/n for stalling and stuff. And oop, apparently Y/n Thinks that Nagisa was blushing at her. So yea! That's what you missed in the previous chapter of Second Place...

||Nagisa's P.o.v||

"Figures, Kanzaki's the top spot." Maehara said, inspecting the list, "Who doesn't like her..." he said.

Maehara looked at Sugino who was standing next to me and asked him,

"What about you, Sugino? Really slick of you to pull her into your group." Maehara commented.

Sugnio put his hands behind his head coolly,

"Y'know, with all the crap that went down, there weren't many chances for us to really talk." He admitted.

"Yea, you guys had it rough." Maehara said. Then he looked over at me, "What about you Nagisa, did you get a chance to bond with Y/n?" He asked.

His question caught me off guard, and I could feel my face heat up. I waved my hands a bit,

"Huh?? Me and Y/n? I don't know about all of that...We're just friends!!" I quickly told him.

Everyone in the room, looked like they didn't believe me. That's when Mimura spoke up and said,

"I just want to know who likes who."

Okajima started scrambling around like a mad man once Mimura said that,

"I can't just pick one!" He exclaimed in a panic

"Other than you, Okajima..." Mimura assured.

Maehara looked back at me asked,

"Well 'if' you don't like Y/n, who do you like?"

"Huh? I uh-" I stammered.

I couldn't think of anyone off the top of my head,

"What about you Maehara? Anyone you like?" Sugino asked taking the attention off of me.

I looked over at Sugino in surprise, but also gratitude. Honestly, I never really thought about liking anyone...They're aren't many girls that I'm close with aside from Kayano and Y/n... but I think that if I had pick someone to like it would probably be-

"Who me? My lips are sealed." Maehara told Sugino.

Maehara put a piece sign like a girl from an anime or something. What Maehara said that, Mimura got kind of mad,

"That pisses me off! You have to at least tell us something!" Mimura yelled at him.

Maehara laughed a bit and said,

"Well since we are supposed to be going around saying girls we like I will say this...I would have totally had a crush on Y/n if she wasn't she wasn't interested in..."

Maehara paused and looked at me for a second before he continued, "in a little, something something..." He trailed off.

I was confused, but everyone else in the room seemed to agree,

"Oh Yea! I always forget about Y/n when it comes to stuff like this!" Mimura said thinking about it, "She's actually pretty cool when she's not sleeping in class, but...she's kind of off limits..." He trailed off as well.

"I know right! I'm not saying there's anything wrong with her or her feelings, but damn...it's getting kind of sad don't you think? " Maehara added,

"Come on Maehara, knock it off...Nagisa obviously doesn't get what your saying, so it just sounds like you're being rude..." Sugino told Maehara.

I looked around as pretty much everyone in the room seemed to nod in agreement. I was really...confused...These things that everyone were saying about Y/n, made no sense. I always thought that Y/n was a really likable person. Maybe I'm just being bias, but anytime I hang out with Y/n she was always really sweet and awesome to be around. She may get a little emotional sometimes, but I never really pitied her for it, that's just the way she is. So it didn't sit right with me that everyone decided to randomly talk trash about her. And what didn't I get?? Y/n's one of my closets friends, how could everyone know something about her that I didn't...I just had to say something,

"Wait, what are you guys talking about? What wouldn't I get about Y/n?" I asked.

"Of course you still don't understand!" Okijma pouted.

I looked at him, 'damn.' I thought, 'Even Okajima has something to say about her??' Maehara got my attention again

"Look Nagisa, I wish I could elaborate, I really do, but it's just not my place to do so... It's a secret. She'll tell you when she's ready." told me.

Even Teraska joined in, "Oh come on Nagisa, you can't be that dense. You're telling me, all this time you've spent with her you haven't noticed anything off about Y/n? Whatsoever?"

I raised a brow,

"Uh, no? There's nothing off about her..." I defended.

Maehara shook his head and sighed,

"Just as I thought, he's in denial..."

After Maehara said that, Karma showed up with a soda in his hand, "Ooh, looks like fun in here." He commented

"Karma! Great timing!" Maehara said changing the subject, "Is there a girl you like?"

🗡🗡🗡

Isogi grabbed the paper next and said,

"You guys, these ratings are just between us, okay?"

"Well, sure." Maehara told him. "I mean, most of us don't want this getting out. So do not let the girls or any teachers find out ab-"

"Evening, all. Mm-hmm. I see." Koro Sensei said in the doorway...he was taking notes.

And just as quickly as he came he left. Everyone was in shock for a second. Then... all hell broke loose and the guys chased after him...well not all of them. Karma a was still in the room with me...Since we were alone I figured that I'd ask Karma about Y/n. If there was one person who would know about the drama with Y/n, it would definitely be Karma...I wouldn't even be surprised if he was the reason for her slander.

"Hey Karma..." I asked.

"Yea, what's up Nagisa?" He replied sipping from his can.

"It's about Y/n...Have you noticed anything off about her?"

Karma grinned, he looked surprisingly happy,

"So did you finally figure it out..." He trailed off, "Or are you just saying that because everyone's been hinting that Y/n has a secret that you don't know about?"

"I- uh? How did you even-" I stumbled over my words a bit.

"Oh come on, you seriously can't figure it out Nagisa? I thought you were smart..." He asked.

"I am! It's just that how would I know about a secret that Y/n hasn't told me?!" 

Karma smirked and took another sip from his can,

"Tsk tsk Nagisa...You didn't seem like the type to pry into people's personal lives~" Karma teased.

I rolled my eyes a bit, "It's not like that!" I tell him, "I'm just...worried about Y/n..." I admitted

"Alright, I'll tell you..."

"Wait but-"

Before I could even finish my sentence, Karma leaned down and whispered the secret into my ear. The more he spoke the more my eyes widened...

This...can't be true...

Sorry for me moving and deleting Chapters around on Friday, or whatever I did that. I was editing my chapters to try and make the shorter. Anyways I've been meaning to post this a while a go but, I got so busy smh. So yea, hope you enjoyed this though!
