Randhir came back to the Mansion after mid night. He came out from the car and carried his tired frame towards the house. He entered at the hall and saw all most everyone present there. Sanyukta also came down hearing the sound of his car. Randhir look at everyone's face once then his eyes fixed on Sanyukta. Randhir scanned her top to bottom once and understand that she was waiting for him so long. He lowered his lashes.

"I am sorry." He said slowly.

"Do you think it's a joke Randhir, Sanyukta is waiting for you since so long and you are coming this late! Where are you the whole day?" Ragini bursted out of him.

"Di am sorry, wo ek emergency thi." He stammered.

"Aaisi keya emergency thi jo tum pure din gayeb rahe aur aabhi aah rahe ho aadhi raat ke baad? Tumne ek call karke hume batana vi jaruri nehi samjha!" Renuka said when gave him a murderous glare.

"Sorry mom but I don't did it intentionally, I have a reason." Randhir said when admiring the floor.

"Calls par call kiye but everytime it's went unanswered. Do you know kitna tension ho rahi thi hum sabko?" Ragini said angrily.

"Sorry di wo battery low tha toh phone switch off ho geya tha." He mumbled slowly.

"But Randhir where are you the entire day? You promised Sanyukta for an outing. She was waiting for you the whole day and you....you are coming this late, I don't have any word to say you!" Anjali let out her frustration.

"Aunty, di please spare him, he looked really tired. Aap logo ko jo kuch vi puchna hain baad mein puchhiye ga please aabhi Ron ko rest karne dijiye." Arpita came between to save him.

"Baad mein kyu, usse aabhi explanation dena hoga aapne iss immature behavior ka." Ragini said angrily.

"Enough! This is my house not any fish market where you people doing such drama." Everyone look up hearing the voice and saw Harsh came out from his room.

"Ji dad wo..." Ragini is about to say something but stopped by Harsh.

"Everyone go back to your room." Harsh said that when everyone still stood there.

"I said everyone go back to your room right now." Harsh said hoarsely when everyone left from there. Renuka is about to go also but she stopped next and looked at Randhir.

"Don't you think that I'll leave you that easily Randhir. I want an explanation." Renuka said coldly when Randhir nodded positively.

"Yes mom." Randhir replied slowly and she left from there next when Randhir looked at Sanyukta. He can saw a lava bolting in her eyes.

"Aab tum vi daat lo." Randhir said slowly but for his surprise Sanyukta left the place next without saying a word when Randhir followed her.

Sanyukta came back to their room and sat quietly when Randhir also came there.

"Sanyukta?" He called her when she keep quite.

"Don't you want to ask anything?" He asked when she started removing her ornaments.

"Sanyukta puchogi nehi main kyu nehi aaya, kaha tha pura din?" He said when Sanyukta looked at him with red eyes.

"And what explanation you will give me Randhir for your deed?" Sanyukta asked in an icy cold voice.

"As usual jhoot hi bologe ke office ki kaam se kahi bahar geye thay, yeah phir kisi old friend ne tumhe rok liya tha. But you know what Randhir mujhe tumhari unn jhoote excuses ki koi jarurat nehi hain." She said furiously when he keep quite.

"You broke my trust again but you know what Randhir fault is mine cause I trusted you knowing that you don't worth it. Actually I think I deserve this, I deserve this betrayal cause whenever I trusted you each and everytime you broke my trust." Sanyukta said that with moist eyes when Randhir impulsively hugged her.

"I'm sorry Sanyukta for not keeping my words but I swear I don't did it intentionally. There was an emergency..." He tried to say when Sanyukta pushed him and freed herself.

"Aur kitna jhoot bologe tum Randhir? Emergency, aaisi koynsi emergency jiske wajase tum aah nehi paye?" She asked when he kept mum.

"Ohh may be any of your girlfriend was dying for your one look and you went there to made her feel better." She said sarcastically when Randhir looked at her helplessly.

"Here your wife was waiting for you and there you having fun with your girlfriend!" Sanyukta asked holding his collar.

"Peter is in ICU Sanyukta." Randhir said that slowly. Hearing that Sanyukta's anger came to a holt she looked at him with confused eyes when Randhir continue.

"After talking to you last time I was about to come to the home when granny called me. She told me that Peter was fainted suddenly, hearing that I rushed to there. I saw Peter was not responding and both granny and Roja were panicked so I take Peter at the hospital. Whole day I was there with them." Randhir explained everything when Sanyukta just looked at him shockingly.

"Tumne pehele kyu nehi bola?" She asked surprisingly.

"Tumne bolne ka mauka hi kaha diya?" He smiled a little when Sanyukta lowered her lashes.

"I-I am sorry." She said slowly when Randhir clasped her in a tight hug.

"No I'm sorry. I has to call you once and told you about the crisis but it just slipped out from my mind, I'm sorry." Randhir said that when Sanyukta slowly hugged him back. She felt guilty for her harsh words to him.

"It's okay Randhir, I can understand. If you called me once then this misunderstanding can't be happened." She said slowly when he kept mum.

"How is Peter now?" She asked slowly.

"Better than before but his treatment will be continue." He sighed.

"Don't worry he will be fine." She assured him when he hugged her more tightly and she didn't stopped him. They stayed like that when Randhir said suddenly.

"Sanyukta bahut bhukh lagi hain." He said when Sanyukta broke the hug.

"The whole day was so much hectic, kuch khane ka time hi nehi mila." He said slowly.

"Khane ke waqt aagar mazak karoge toh asisa hi hoga." She said remembering the morning incident when he smiled.

"Aab keya tum mujhe khane mein jwali kati batein khilayogi?" He pouted.

"Go and get fresh am telling the maid to warm your food." She said and about to go when he stopped her.

"Tell her to warm your food too cause it's turned into cold." He said showing her a plate on the table when she looked away.

"You was upset on me then why you denying for the food?" He asked when she kept mum.

"You know what on this way you not only punished me or yourself but you punished the baby too." He said when she was admiring the floor.

"Do you have any explanation for this?" He asked when she was tongue tied.

"Mom ko pata hain?" He asked when she nodded a no.

"Batau mom ko?" He asked when she looked at him with horrified eyes.

"No no, maa will scolding me." She said when gulping hard.

"Sanyukta can't I expect minimum responsibility from you?" He asked helplessly.

"Sorry." She replied slowly.

"Hmm tell the maid to warm the food." He said.

"Main khud hi le aati hu." She said and left next when he smiled a little.

Sanyukta came to the kitchen and started warming the food.

"Sadu kahika, khud nehi aaya aur mujhe blackmail kar raha tha. Aab maine jaan bujh kar thodi na meal skip kiya tha, wo gusse mein kiss ko bhukh lagti hain? Busy tha toh ek call karke bata toh sakta tha na, huhhh." She twisted her lips. Just then Arpita came there.

"Hi Sanyukta keya kar rahi ho?" She smiled at her.

"I just came to warm the food, Randhir is starving, you need anything?" She also smiled at her.

"Am came here for a glass of water but why you doing all this by own? I tell you Sanyukta that Randhir don't care for you at all. Otherwise tum hi socho na wo time par aaya aur aabhi tumse yeh sab karwa raha hain." She said purposely when Sanyukta's face was stiffen.

"Excuse me Arpita but Randhir do care for me. Wo aah nehi paya cause kuch emergency aah geyi thi aur aabhi vi ussne mujhe kuch nehi kaha main khud hi aayi hu cause my husband and my baby both are hungry. Now excuse me I have to go, my husband is waiting for me." Sanyukta said and left from there when Arpita stomped her foot.

Sanyukta came back to their room and saw Randhir was laying on the bed. She kept the food on the table and go near him. He was his eyes closed, Sanyukta was about to call him but she noticed tear rolled down from his eyes. He was actually crying. Sanyukta's heart ached to saw that and she hesitantly placed her hand on his forehead. Randhir felt her soft palm on his forehead and open his eyes and their gaze met.

"Don't worry Peter will be fine, everything will be fine." She assured him when caressing his hairs. Randhir stared at her for sometimes then suddenly pulled her. Sanyukta fall on him when Randhir hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry Sanyukta, I'm extremely sorry." He said with a broken voice when Sanyukta was surprised by his behaviour.

"It's okay Randhir, I can understand you don't have to say sorry everytime." She said looking at him.

"No Sanyukta it's not for today." He said when Sanyukta looked at him confusingly.

"I want to say sorry to you for what I did with you on that evening at the college." He said weakly when Sanyukta was shocked to heard this.

"Am sorry mere wajase tumhari papa ko heart attack aaya. Today when Peter was in ICU and we all waiting at the outside then I realised to saw granny and Roja that how difficult it's to see our beloved like that. Now I understand how difficult that was for you and your family to saw your papa on that stage. That's all because of me." He said with guilt full voice when Sanyukta was numb.

"I-I am sorry Sanyukta. I know just a sorry is not enough but am really sorry for my deeds." He said with moist eyes when Sanyukta came back to her senses.

"It's okay Randhir, you don't did that intentionally. That's all fate." She said broking the hug and sat up on the bed.

"No Sanyukta am the responsible only." He said again.

"Randhir don't be guilty, if you are the reason behind papa's heart attack then you are the reason of cure too. If you didn't came to the hospital and asked for my hand from papa for marriage then we must lost him." Sanyukta said that and next she was stunt by own words.

"What am just saying, papa aaj Randhir ki wajase thik hain!" She asked to herself.

"Yes Sanyukta it's true, whatever he did with you was wrong but there was an another truth and that is he saved your papa's life and you can't deny that." Her mind groaned and she lost in own thoughts when Randhir called her and she look at him confusingly.

"Sanyukta wo main..." He wanted to ask something but stopped by her.

"Come take the food otherwise it's became cold again." She changed the topic when Randhir also nodded positively. They started eating silently when steeling glances of each other.

"Paneer bahut achchhi bani hain." He wanted to start a conversation when she nodded only. He became disappointed.

"Waise khana cook ne banaya hain, if you want you can say her thanks." She said teasingly when he smiled awkwardly.

After finishing the meal Randhir's gaze fall on the gulab jamuns in the bowl. And in no seconds he just snatched the bowl and started gobbling gulab jamuns one by one.

"Aare aare yeh keya kar rahe ho?" Sanyukta asked shockingly but Randhir was too busy to reply. He finished the whole bowl quickly in front of her eyes when she was looking at him shockingly.

"Yummm, it's so delicious." He said with a smile but soon his smile vanished as his gaze fall on her. She was giving him a murderous glare when he was confused.

"What aaisi tough look kyu de rahi ho?" He asked confusingly.

"Tumne saare ke saare gulab jamun kyu kha liye?" She asked angrily.

"Umm, samne rakha tha toh maine kha liye." He gave a nervous smile to her.

"Puri 8 ke 8 gulab jamun!" She asked furiously thus he gulped hard.

"Haan I mean tumhe pregnancy mein jyada sweets nehi khani chahiye na, tumhari sugar level high ho geyi toh!" He tried to sounds confident.

"Mera sugar level normal hain, tumne mere gulab jamun kyu khaye?" She asked angrily.

"Aare tum toh aaise bol rahi ho jaise ke maine kisika murder kar diya hain, aab bhukh laagi thi toh kha liya, what's a big deal! Tum jake aur le lo na kitchen se." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Those were the last pieces, aab main keya khayungi haan bolo?" She asked hoarsely.

"Aare tumne aabhi toh khana khaya na!" He said when she glared at him.

"Okay baba sorry lekin aabhi toh maine saare gulab jamun kha liye." He said slowly.

"Mujhe gulab jamun chahiye, aabhi issi waqt." She said angrily.

"Aabhi, lekin aabhi toh aadhi raat ho geyi hain, kaal la dunga okay!" He gave her an assuring smile when she was fuming in anger.

"Kaal la doge! Huhhh, kabhi kuch laye ho mere liye, kuch vi! Arpita ke liye chocolates, Ferraro Rocher aur mere liye itna sa toffee vi nehi. Aare toffee chhodo ek phool kabhi le aaye mere liye kanjush kahike, aur baat karta hain." Her eyes oozed fire when Randhir was very much shocked by her weird behavior.

"Shaam 4 baje se ready hoke wait kar rahi thi, ek toh time par nehi aaye upor se mere saare gulab jamun kha liye." And her eyes became moist because of her pregnancy hormones when Randhir was confused by her time to time mood swings.

"Sanyukta tum upset kiss wajase ho, main der se aaya iss liye, yeah phir tumhare liye koi gift nehi laya iss liye, yeah saare gulab jamun kha liye iss liye?" He asked confusingly when received a cold glare from her.

"I want my gulab jamuns now." She said coldly when he taken aback.

"Sanyukta aabhi raat ke 1 baaj rahe hain, main kaal subha hi tumhe la dunga gulab jamun, okay." He tried to convince her but she was in no mood to listen anything as her crave for gulab jamun don't let her to think anything.

"Mujhe aabhi chahiye matlab aabhi chahiye, aur aagar tum nehi la doge toh main khud hi jaa rahi hu." She said coldly and left the room next.

"What the... yeh aur isski mood swings, ohh god!" He sighed and followed her next.

"Watchman open the gate." The watchman was sleeping on his sitting position, he get up with a jolt by hearing Sanyukta's voice.

"I said open the gate." Sanyukta said again when the watchman looking at her confusingly.

"Ji wo madam iss waqt?" He asked confusingly.

"Watchman don't open the gate." Sanyukta turned to heard this and saw Randhir there.

"Sanyukta aandar chalo." Randhir said coming to her.

"Tum gate khologe ke nehi?" Sanyukta asked the watchman totally ignored him.

"No he won't." Randhir said.

"Aagar gate nehi khologe toh main papa ko jake bol dungi ke tum duty par soo rahe thay." Sanyukta threatened the watchman.

"Aur aagar gate khola toh phir main jake dad ko bata dunga ke tum duty par soo rahe thay." Randhir said when Sanyukta gritted her teeth and watchman gulped hard thinking about his job.

"Tum meri khushi nehi dekh sakte na?" Sanyukta asked angrily.

"Aadhi raat ko ghar se bahar jane mein tumhari khushi hain?" Randhir asked teasingly.

"Nehi mujhe gulab jamun chahiye aur main wohi kharidne jaa rahi hu." She replied back.

"Aabhi iss waqt! Ek baat batao aadhi raat ko koynsi meethai ki dukan khuli hoti hain?" He raised his brows.

"That's my problem, watchman gate kholo." She ordered.

"No he won't." Randhir said coldly and that's it Sanyukta can't take it anymore.

"Tum yeh sab kuch jaan bujh kar rahe ho na, pehele mere saare gulab jamun kha liye aur aab mujhe bahar vi nehi jane de rahe ho." And she started crying when sat on a bench there. Randhir now is getting surprised.

"Aare magar tum roo kyu rahi ho?" He asked surprisingly when sitting beside her.

"Main rou yeah kuch vi karu tumhe usse keya?" She said between her sobs.

"Look Sanyukta am sorry." He said holding her shoulder when she jerked his hand.

"Aab sorry se keya hoga, I need gulab jamuns and the baby too." She looked at him with moist eyes when he sighed helplessly.

"Okay let's go for it." He said as he don't have any other option when her eyes were twinkling with happiness.

"But this is the last time when I spear your any illegal demand, okay?" He said when she twisted her lips.

"Huhhh, you have to spare me and my tantrums for the whole life." She said proudly when he smiled in mind.

                               * * * * * * * * *

"This one is also closed." Randhir said as they are in front of a closed shop.

"Saara saher ghum liya Sanyukta, I mean raat ke 2.30 baje koynsi meethai ki dukan khuli hoti hain tum batao mujhe?" Randhir said as this is the 12th shop where they were came to check when Sanyukta kept mum.

"Sanyukta chalo ghar wapas chalate hain, I promise subha hote hi main tumhe gulab jamun la dunga." Randhir pleaded.

"Nehi mujhe aabhi chahiye matlab aabhi chahiye." Sanyukta insists just like a kid.

"Tumhe sab kuch aabhi kyu chahiye hota hain batao?" Randhir raised his brows.

"Pregnancy mein aaisa hi hota hain Randhir. Jab kisi cheese ke liye craving hota hain toh kuch aur nehi sujhta hain uss cheese ke ilava, aur jab tak wo cheese nehi mill jati tab tak dil ko chain nehi milta. It's a life or death situation you can't understand!" Sanyukta explained when Randhir looked at her surprisingly.

"But itni raat ko main gulab jamun kahase lau?" Randhir sighed in defeat.

"Umm wo collage ke pass jo dukan hain waha chalte hain na, am sure wo khula hoga!" Sanyukta said hopefully.

"Kyu wo log raat ko sote nehi keya?" Randhir asked teasingly.

"Aare shaadi ke season mein wo shop puri raat khuli hoti hain, I know aur waise vi waha ke rasgulle bahut rasile aur tasty hoti hain." Sanyukta said with a dreamy smile on her face.

"But tumne toh bola tha ke tumhe gulab jamun khana hain, you are craving for that?" Randhir raised his brows.

"Meri jo marzi wo main khayungi, tumhe usse keya! Aab tum chal rahe ho ke main khud hi chali jau?" Sanyukta said sternly.

"Haan haan chalta hu meri maa." Randhir joined his hand in front of Sanyukta when she twisted her lips.

"Yeh wala shop puri raat khuli raheti hain toh pehele kyu nehi bola, 1 ghante se puri saher ka chakkar laga raha hu!" Randhir said annoyingly and starts the car.
