Part 29

In Office:

Khushi went with Aman and he showed her cabin. He even explained her work and went from there.

After an hour, she went to Arnav's cabin to show a file but he was not there. The peon who came there answered her that Arnav went for a meeting.

Sighing, she came out of the cabin when she saw Akash who also saw her.

"Khushiji. What are you doing here ?"asked a surprised Akash.

"I joined as Arnavji's PA today" said Khushi.

"What !! But Bhai didn't say anything to me" said Akash.

"Even he doesn't know too. I just thought to surprise him and applied to the job" said Khushi.

"Oh Okay. I need to leave for work" said Akash.

Khushi nodded her head and both of them parted their ways opposite.

After lunch, Khushi was going towards her cabin when someone called her. She turned and looked at three employees coming towards her. Khushi knew them when she was working for AR before marriage.

"How are you Khushi ?"asked one of them.

"I am fine. How are you ?"asked Khushi.

"We are fine. We are happy to see you back again" said the other one.

Khushi smiled to them.

"How is life going ?"asked the last one.

"Not bad" replied Khushi thinking about her relation with Arnav these days.

" Yeah. How can you be good when soo much happened in your life ?We felt very sorry when we heard about Dhruv sir Khushi. We know how much you loved him and dreamed to have happy life with him. But god snatched away your dreams. The thought that the person whom we loved is not any more is really horrible. We can't even imagine what you have gone through. Even it is more horrible to marry the person who is brother of your love. No matter what that house always reminds about the person we love. Still you emerged out as a strong girl. Though you are smiling to us now, we can see how genuine it is Khushi. The Khushi we know is full of life and with a genuine hearty smile but the Khushi, we are seeing now is far away from her. Even your smile doesn't reach your eyes Khushi. That shows how sad you are still" the first one gave a good lecture.

Khushi was irritated hearing it. They are again sprinkling on her wounds and making her realize how big fool she is to fall in the trap of Dhruv.

"You deserved happiness Khushi. But we can understand how difficult it is for you to accept ASR as husband when you still love Dhruv" said the second one. She was going to say something more when she saw Arnav standing hearing their conversation.

"ASR" said the second one and gulped down.

Khushi turned and looked Arnav. She was shocked.. Did he hear everything ? thought Khushi.

"If your lunch break is over, now go back to work" said Arnav. The trio scurried away from there.

"Bring me the file if you have completed what I have assigned in the morning" said Arnav.

Khushi nodded her head and Arnav went to his cabin.

Night, After Dinner:

Shyam is in the room reading his file when Arnav knocked the door. Seeing him, Shyam smiled and signaled to come in.

"What is it Arnav that you came here ??"asked Shyam.

"Why ?? I can't come here" asked Arnav.

"NO. I din't mean it" said Shyam.

"How is your work ?? Is there any tension ??"asked Arnav.

"No. there is nothing like that. I am fine and my clients are more than fine" said Shyam.

"I want to talk with you jijaji" said Arnav seriously.

Sensing his seriousness of tone, Shyam nodded his head and both went towards poolside of Arnav's room which is their favorite spot.

They both sat down on their chairs. Arnav sat thinking while Shyam looking at him confused.

"What happened Arnav ?? Why are you sitting silently ?? You said to me that you want to talk something" said Shyam.

"I need to talk about me and Khushi" said Arnav.

"You and Khushi !! What about it ??"asked shyam.

"You asked me once is everything ok between me and Khushi.. I lied to you.. There is nothing right between us..She is thinking that it is me who spoiled many girl's lives" said Arnav and looked at Shyam who is having an expression which he can't estimate.

"I Know it Arnav."said Shyam. Arnav looked at him confused.

"I can estimate it seeing your face how happy you are. I know you lied to me that day. And even I know what all the blames which she kept on you on Karvachauth day" said Shyam.

Arnav looked at him shocked.

"Payal heard your conversation that day. She said to me. I too can't believe this. How can Khushiji can't think twice before blaming you ??"said Shyam irritated.

" She trusts him soo blindly jiju. She herself said to me she loves only Dhruv and still considers him as husband. This marriage and I meant nothing to her...One thing I clearly understood that she never loves me. So I don't want to pressurize her and keep her with me. How much I tried to work on this relation is waste ?? So I took a decision" said Arnav.

"What is it ??"asked Shyam.

"Divorce!! I am going to ask for divorce" said Arnav.

Khushi who is at the outside of the door hearing their conversation felt her world shattered..

"Arnav. Are you Sure ??"asked Shyam.

"Haan Jiju. There is no backoff in my decision" said Arnav firmly.

"But will Anjali and Naniji agree to it ??"asked Shyam.

" I will first talk about this with Khushi.. I Know she will squeal happily after hearing this and will agree. Then we will apply for divorce. It will take near six months I think soo. By the time, the final hearing is done, we will say it to family as it is our mutual decision" said Arnav.

"Ok.. As you wish. Will you be happy after that ?? Will you able to forget her ?? "asked Shyam concerning.

Arnav smiled sarcastically " When there is nothing between us, then there is no matter of forgetting her.. She will move on in her life happily."

"Are you angry on her ??"asked shyam.

"No. I am angry on myself for falling on a girl when I clearly knows that I won't get anyone's love. God had written on my fate that no one should love me" said Arnav painfully.

"Arnav. Plz "said Shyam placing his hand on Arnav's shoulder assuring him.

"Bhai." Came a voice from behind and they both turned, saw Akash who is at the other side of the pool with tears in his eyes.

It is evident from his face that he heard everything. Akash came near them.

"Bhai. Do you really think that I too din't even love you ?? "asked Akash.

Arnav knew Akash is very emotional. He tried to say something but Akash said "Then what is that I did all these years for you. Social service!! Bhai you know I always preferred you over Dhruv and loved you like my own brother then how can you say like that ??"

Arnav hugged Akash and said" I am sorry Akash. "

Shyam then said" OK. Now please you both brothers stop this and we shall discuss about the further step"

Akash then said "Yeah Jiju." Then turning to Arnav" Bhai. I noticed from the start that something is not right between you and Khushiji. I thought that may be it is a forced marriage for both of you so it takes time to mend in relation. I Know that she loves Dhruv and will accept you slowly but after seeing your pain, seems nothing like that will happen. Whatever may happen Bhai ?? I am with you in every step."

"Thanks Akash" said Arnav.

"Bhai. What happened exactly that day in Shimla ?"asked Akash.

Arnav frowned why Akash is suddenly asking about Shimla but he said, " Nothing much Akash."

"Don't lie to me Bhai. Why didn't Khushiji was there when you fell unconscious in Shimla ?"asked Akash.

"She went to shopping Akash. So, she was not there" said Arnav.

Akash seemed to satisfy with it. Khushi was surprised hearing it. Why didn't Arnavji said what happened in Shimla to Akash ? thought Khushi.

"Then why did she now joined our office ? That too as your PA" said Akash.

"Even I don't understand that. She doesn't need a job now. Of all she joined as my PA when she hates me" said Arnav.

"Bhai. Is she trying to hurt you by any means ?"asked Akash panicked.

Arnav looked at him startled while Khushi was shocked.

"No Akash. I don't think so Khushi will try to hurt Arnav" said Shyam.

"No jiju. Try to understand me. Who knows what is her real motive behind this? When she doesn't have good opinion on Bhai . But what surprised me is why she joined in office, that too as Bhai's PA?? Is there any other reason behind this ?? By any chance, is she trying to ruin AR now.. She loves Dhruv blindly and who knows she is here to hurt you.. She din't got enough of hurting you in house that she came here too..No Bhai. I can't take risk. It is better to appoint bodyguards for you and keep a tab on her for 24x7. She can do anything Bhai afterall she was Dhruv's wife and girl friend. Same dangerous like him. I will talk with Aman about increasing your security"

Arnav and Shyam kept a blank face hearing it while Khushi's heart pained hearing Akash's words.

"Do whatever you want Akash. I trust you" said Arnav.

Arnav's words stabbed Khushi's heart. So, Arnavji too thinks I can harm him thought Khushi.

"Arnav. When are you planning to say about Divorce to Khushi ??"asked Shyam.

"Tomorrow morning Jiju. I know she doesn't have any problem so I will ask lawyer to prepare the papers " said Arnav.

Both Akash and Shyam nodded their heads.

"Ok. Now we will leave. It is already late" said Shyam. And both of them left from there.

Khushi who is hearing this can't withstand a moment there and rushed to terrace. She could found a peace there only now. Initially she used to go Dhruv's room when ever she feels upset but now terrace is her solace.

She sat there crying drawing her knees close to her body.

"What is happening in my life ?? Now, Arnavji is planning for the divorce. Here I am trying to mend things and he want to get rid off me from his life. What should I do know ?? This is all happening due to one person. Dhruv. I Hate you Dhruv Singh Raizada. I Hate you. Let you rot in that hell forever. It is better you were not alive otherwise I would have killed you with my bare hands and I don't even regret doing it. I wish to die now here itself but still I can't do that. I am even disgusted to meet you in the hell too" thought Khushi.

She then thought of what she have to answer when Arnav asked for Divorce.

She went to her room. Arnav is sleeping on the bed. She took her pillow to sleep on the recliner but stopped doing that and slept on bed beside Arnav.

Next Morning:

When Arnav wokeup , he found Khushi sleeping beside him. He was shocked to see this.

How did she came here ?? It was me who slept on the bed thought Arnav. But soon he came out of the bed. If she will see me beside her, she will strangle my neck this time thought Arnav and escaped into washroom.

After sometime, Khushi woke up and saw empty bed beside her.. Where did Arnavji go ?? probably for jogging. What he must have thought seeing me beside ?? Shrugging off all the thoughts she went to take bath.

Arnav came out of bathroom after taking bath. He looked at the bed which had all his things. Again ?? Today also. But who is it ?? Di or HP. I need to ask them today thought Arnav and took the clothes to wear..

Khushi came into the room to call Arnav for breakfast. He is talking on phone with Aman. She waited until he finishes the call. Arnav turned after finishing the call.

"Di is calling you for breakfast" said Khushi.

"Ok. I will come. Before that I need to talk something important" said Arnav.

Khushi understood what is that important matter so she said" Whatever it is we can talk after breakfast Arnavji. Everyone are waiting for you" and she stepped out of the room..

Arnav is confused.. Did she really called me Arnavji now ??? thought Arnav. She actually addresses him Arnavji only infront of family otherwise she would address him as Mr.Raizada..

He once again heard Anjali's shouting to come for breakfast. So he went downstairs..

Breakfast is peaceful one unlike yesterday. Seems like Shyam and Anjali patched up.. Shyam asked Arnav through his eyes whether he talked with Khushi but Arnav nodded as No. Khushi observed their actions and understood what they meant. She was feeling restless on how to avoid that topic..

After breakfast, when Khushi is in the hall with others, HP came from upstairs.

"Khushi Bhabi. Arnav bhaiyya is calling you" said HP. Khushi understood why he called her ?? She sat there gaining for courage when Nani said" Khushi Bitiya. Chote is calling you. Go"

Faking a smile, she went upstairs. when she reached their room, Arnav is on the sitting on the recliner waiting for her..

Arnav slowly went towards the door and locked it. Khushi just stared at him. then turning to her said" Don't fear. I won't do anything to you. I just want to talk something important"

"Even if you do something I won't mind it Arnavji. " said Khushi with a naughty glint...Arnav looked at her shocked.. Did she really said those words now ?? Then he looked here and there at the poolside.

"There is no one here then why is she calling me Arnavji "thought Arnav.

"Arnavji. You said you want to talk something with me" said Khushi bringing him out of the thoughts.

"yes" said Arnav then sighing deeply" I know you don't want this marriage and this marriage means nothing to you. I even know how difficult it is for you to even breathe in this same room with the person whom you hate most.. So I thought about it soo well and took a decision."

He looked at Khushi but she just stared at him as if to continue.

"I think we should take divorce and end this relation here" said Arnav "I know you don't have any objection with this divorce. So I will ask my lawyer to prepare the papers."

Khushi nodding her head, came near to him and asked" I heard you studied in Harvard. Is it right ??"

Arnav felt bewildered with her question and nodded his head.

"Then why don't you have brains ??"asked Khushi.

"What the...."said Arnav.

"Ok Fine. Seems like you don't know much about Indian law. I will say. A couple can't go for a divorce until they completes one year of their marriage..( I really don't know about this) According to that we can't go for divorce as it is only three months that our marriage happened. So you have to bear me for another nine months without any option" said Khushi..

Arnav stood there listening to her cautiously. He never knew all about this.

Khushi looked at his thinking form and said" If you still have any doubts then you can contact your lawyer and ask about this."

She then stepped out of the room. She then thought of how she searched in the net and came to know about this.

"Nine months is enough for me Arnavji to pacify you and then we both will be together forever" thought Khushi
