When Kara entered the ER with Eliza, she found the rest of her team waiting for her. Nia and Brainy were leaning against a hospital wall while J'onn was sitting in a chair, thinking hard while Kelly was a hysterical mess as she was bawling her eyes out while Lena tried to comfort her.

"Kelly." Eliza said, getting the Olsen girl's attention as she shot up and ran to Eliza.

"Eliza, I am so sorry about this." Kelly said.

"It's not your fault Kelly." Eliza assured her.

"The shooter is already in custody at the NCPD." Kara reminded her.

"I know. Thank you for that by the way. I just can't believe this is happening." Kelly said.

"I know. While I did think that I'd be flying to get Eliza tonight, I thought it would be so that she could celebrate your engagement, not for this." Kara said.

"And I'm not even technically engaged yet, since Alex was shot before she could answer." Kelly said.

"Has there been any word on her condition yet?" Eliza asked.

"No, she's still in surgery. The doctors aren't telling me anything yet." Kelly said.

"But I already told Kelly that I'd cover any medical bills that insurance won't." Lena said as she joined them and hugged Kara.

"I see that you and Kara really did mend all fences if you're here." Eliza said, since J'onn had restored her memories a while back.

"We did and now is not the time for you to comment on that Eliza." Kara said, wrapping an arm around her girlfriend's waist, since she'd come out to Eliza at the same party that Kara and Lena had gotten together at, celebrating her promotion.

"I can see that. And I guess if you're with her, then that means I'll have to learn to accept this, since I'm sure Alex has." Eliza said, since she wasn't exactly thrilled that her younger daughter was now dating someone who'd tried to kill her, it wasn't her choice to make and as long as Lena made Kara happy, she could learn to accept it.

"I am sorry about how I reacted before, but I'm not my family. And no one is more horrified of what I became than I am. And I truly do love Kara and I'd never try to hurt her again." Lena said and Eliza nodded, feeling like she could trust Lena this time, right as a doctor came out.

"I'm looking for Kelly Olsen." the doctor said.

"That's me." Kelly said, since she was listed as Alex's emergency contact.

"I'm Dr. Graham, the physician taking care of Alex Danvers." Dr. Graham said as Kelly rushed forward.

"How bad is it?" Kelly asked and the doctor sighed.

"It's not good. The bullet pierced her spinal column and severed her L3, L4 and L5 vertebrates, resulting in total paralysis below her waist." Dr. Graham said.

"Wait, Alex is paralyzed?" Kelly asked, tears coming to her eyes as Kara rushed forward to support her.

"Unfortunately yes." Dr. Graham said.

"How likely is she to recover the use of her legs?" Kara asked.

"Right now, I'd say she has less than a 15% chance of walking again. Her odds could improve as her body heals, but the odds are not looking good right now, even with therapy." Dr. Graham said.

"Are there any ways we could improve those odds?" Kelly asked.

"There are a few experimental procedures that might help, but she'd need to give her consent to them and she'd need to recover more before we could explore those options." Dr. Graham said.

"Is she still in surgery now?" Kara asked.

"No, we have her in a recovery room right now, since she needs some time to recover before we can operate any further." Dr. Graham said.

"How long will she need to be in the hospital?" Kelly asked.

"At least a week and a half, maybe more depending how long it takes her body to heal, not to mention learning to move in a wheelchair." Dr. Graham said.

"Can we see her?" Kelly asked.

"Yes, but only a few of you at a time and not for very long. We want her to get as much rest as possible. Also, would you like us to tell her the news about her condition or do you want to do it?" Dr. Graham asked.

"I'll tell her, but do you guys mind if I see her alone? I don't think Alex will want a lot of people to see her in that condition, especially after how she'll likely react after I tell her that she can't walk anymore." Kelly said and both Kara and Eliza nodded.

"Go. You're the one she'll need the most right now. We'll be here." Eliza said and Kara nodded.

"Before you go, have you called James and Winn yet?" Kara asked.

"James is off-world right now, but Winn is on his way." Kelly said before Dr. Graham led her towards the hospital rooms while Kara took her foster mom into her arms and let Eliza break down in them.

"I can't believe this is happening. First Jeremiah goes missing and now Alex is paralyzed. At least you're indestructible." Eliza said to her younger daughter.

"And Alex will bounce back from this, she always does." Kara said.

"I know, but this is going to be a setback for her, since it'll be much harder for her to be the protector she is in a wheelchair." Eliza said sniffling.

"And knowing Alex, Kelly, J'onn and I are going to have our hands full keeping from pushing herself too hard in forcing her recovery." Kara said.

"True." Eliza agreed.

Non was thrilled by the current turn of events, since with Alex Danvers hospitalized, he knew that Supergirl and her friends would be too busy focusing on her to be able to think about him. This was the perfect opportunity for them to advance on their plans without interruption.

"General Non." his new second in command said to him and Non couldn't help but smirk at hearing that, since after Astra had deserted them, he'd automatically become the new general of their forces and he was enjoying the promotion.

"What is it?" Non asked.

"We were going through the data we mined from Fort Rozz's databases like you ordered, since you were right, thanks to the existence of Kal-El's fortress, there's still a network we can connect to and we found a few items that I think you'll find interesting. We also discovered that in addition to the prisoners aboard this ship, Fort Rozz also kept records of other inmates sentenced to the phantom zone, even though they weren't on the ship." the soldier said, getting Non's attention.

"What have you found?" Non asked.

"Well first, we found something interesting regarding the Green Martian working with Kara Zor-El. J'onn J'onzz." the soldier said.

"What about him?" Non asked.

"The records on other prisoners in the Phantom Zone indicate another Green Martian is trapped there and not only that, it's the Martian Manhunter's own brother Malefic. Sent there for treason against his own people and siding with the White Martians in the war. Might be useful against Supergirl's green martian." the soldier said.

"Start trying to locate him immediately and get our engineers working on a projector to retrieve them. Or see if there's already one on this planet we can steal." Non said and the soldier nodded as he then handed Non a tablet.

"And then in the military database we found two projects that Zor-El himself was working on before Krypton was destroyed. I think you'll find them both very interesting." the soldier said and Non looked them over and smiled.

"Project Medusa and Project Yuda Kal. Very interesting. Get word to Indigo to return here now. She stands the best chance of decrypting these files, since they're wisely protected against any open access." Non said.

"Right away." the soldier said as he rushed to do just that.

"Well, well Zor-El. What exactly were you working on?" Non asked, knowing that if it was this well protected, it must've been very dangerous. Which made him wonder what his now former brother-in-law had been working on.
