"So, who called this meeting?" Lawrence Crusher Crock, aka, Sportsmaster, aside as he and his wife Paula Brooks, aka, Tigress, walked into the meeting room of the headquarters of the Injustice Society of America to find their fellow members there waiting for them, including City Council member William Zarrick, aka, the Wizard, Blue Valley High school Principal, Anaya Bowin, aka the Fiddler 2.0, brain surgeon Dr. Henry King Sr., aka Brainwave, Dr. Shiro Ito, aka, Dragon King and the current acting CEO of Blue Valley's the American Dream, Stephen Sharpe, aka, the Gambler.

"I did." A new voice said and all members of the ISA turned to see their leader, Jordan Mahkent, aka, Icicle, walk into the room.

"Jordan, we thought you were still out traveling the country on your revenge spree?" Paula asked.

"Just saying Paula and I would've been more than happy to help you with that." Crusher said.

"I would've preferred you two do that than slaughtering my coaches every single time they don't treat your daughter like she's a goddess on the football field." Anya said.

"Hey, stop hiring bum coaches who bench our daughter when she's literally carrying the whole team and we won't have a problem." Paula said.

"Enough. Anaya's right. We can only make up so many cover stories before people start noticing a pattern that draws attention to you and by extension, the rest of us. So, this is your last warning. Shape up and play your parts or I will deal with you and you do not want me to deal with you." Jordan said.

"Understood, but you haven't answered my question yet?" Paula pointed out cautiously.

"No need to be nervous Paula, since it is a fair question. But what brings me back to Blue Valley earlier than anticipated is this." Jordan said as he tossed a copy of the Freeland Gazette onto the table and all his fellow ISA members looked shocked at the headline.

"Black Lightning returns." William said.

"The last surviving member of the Justice Society. It was a dangerous oversight to just assume that he died when he disappeared all those years ago and now we're going to pay for that mistake." Jordan said.

"Jordan, I don't see the need for concern? He's just one man." Stephen said, only to have Jordan glare at him.

"A man who's the last surviving member of the Justice Society. He presents a risk to our plans, especially if he's able to inspire a new JSA to take his comrades' place. It was a mistake to leave stone regarding the JSA unturned. A mistake we will now correct. I've contacted an associate in Freeland who wants Black Lightning dead even more than I do. He's more than happy to perform that service as long as we can provide him with resources to do it, which I've agreed to." Jordan said.

"Great, so what's with the urgency?" William asked.

"I'm not taking any chances. I'm accelerating our timetable. Dr. Ito, let me know what you need to complete your machine and I'll provide it. Henry, this means that you need to keep an especially low profile, since you're the key to pulling this off. I don't want you in any situations that could put you out of commission. Am I clear?" Jordan asked, since Henry had always been a bit of an enigma.

"Understood. Dr. Ito, has your daughter made any reports on my son? Has he shown any signs of having inherited my powers?" Henry asked Dragon King.

"Not that I know of, but unfortunately, Cynthia is a teenager and despite my best efforts, she still engages in the teenaged practice of keeping big secrets from her parents. Perhaps you can find something out, since no one can keep secrets from you." Ito said and Henry nodded.

"Jordan, if we're speeding up the plan, shouldn't we get a certain fast freak here to help, since no one's better at picking up the pace than him." Anaya asked.

"I've already reached out to him, no word back, though fortunately, this isn't a Shade situation. But just to be safe, Ito, if you wouldn't mind searching for him as well, I'd appreciate it since Anaya is right and he'll be useful in the end." Jordan said.

"I already have, since you're right, he could solve more than one problem with Project New America, though there are others. Mainly Superman. I am unsure if aliens will be affected like humans and even if they are, there is no guarantee that Superman will be affected. Before we can execute our plans, we must find a way to remove this problem." Ito said.

"I'm looking into that. There are plenty of geniuses who want to kill Superman, I'm sure we can find one to help us." Jordan said as the meeting continued.
