Chapter 3

Okay, I'm going to answer a concern that people have raised. The first one is about Cecille's daughter Joanie, yes she will appear in this story, she won't be forgotten, but I have not fully decided what capacity that will be yet.

While they waited for Barry's family, including Joe and Iris, to show up at the clinic, Caitlin decided to give Barry a tour and Barry had to admit, he was impressed by how much Caitlin had accomplished in such a short period of time, since this facility looked state of the art and also kind of familiar and it was through his memories of this new world that he realized why it was familiar.

"Caitlin, did this place used to be a Mercury Labs black site?" Barry asked her.

"Yeah it did. This place was actually already decommissioned before the accelerator exploded and Christina said that it would be the best place for me to run my clinic and I had to agree, since it's got plenty of space and it's isolated from the rest of the city to protect it any metahuman power glitches and from anyone who might try to abuse the metahumans here for personal gain, among other things." Caitlin said.

"Do you only treat metas?" Barry asked.

"No, regular humans too, but I'll admit metas are a bit of a higher priority, simply because there aren't as many people who are concerned about them right now, but underprivileged people are a close second. It's a good thing this building has multiple floors that Tina is letting me use. The regular people are on the main floor, while metas are housed on the upper floors for safety reasons, but why do you ask?" Caitlin asked him.

"Because this building looks familiar and now I remember why. In this universe, my dad was actually Jay Garrick, so I'm guessing you can both guess what that means." Barry said, since Cisco was still with them too.

"He was already a speedster and he passed his speed onto you, so you already had your speed before the accelerator went off." Caitlin said and Barry nodded.

"And so does Chloe and yes Tina knows about it and the reason I know that is because this facility was actually a cover for what's hidden underneath." Barry said.

"And what is hidden underneath this place?" Cisco asked.

"It's where we taught Barry how to control his speed, even though he's clearly no longer keeping it a secret." Henry Allen said as he, Christina McGee and a young girl who could only be Barry's sister Chloe, joined them.

"Dad, it's okay, Caitlin's been tending to me for the past 9 months, I trust her and Cisco." Barry said and Tina nodded.

"I agree, especially with how helpful Mr. Ramon has been helping me prepare for Barry's awakening." Tina assured him.

"Okay, I just want to be sure." Henry said, still not sold on Cisco, since while Caitlin had earned his trust by tending to his son for the past 9 months, Cisco had not.

"If it helps, I'm a metahuman too." Cisco said, since he still couldn't believe that he'd ever wanted to give that up.

"That does help. What are your powers?" Henry asked.

"I'll demonstrate when we're in a place that's not quite as public." Cisco said.

"I know just the place. It's the place where we taught both Barry and Chloe to use their inherited speed. Follow me." Tina said as she led them towards Caitlin's office.

"Wait, the entrance is in my office?" Caitlin asked and Tina nodded.

"Why do you think I insisted you make this room your office? So no one else would find it by accident." Tina said as she revealed a hidden keypad in the back wall of Caitlin's office and typed in a code, revealing a hidden elevator.

"Wait, there's a secret elevator? Finally, some real superhero stuff." Cisco said, looking like they'd hit the jackpot.

"Enough Cisco, come on." Barry said as he led them into the elevator.

"What is this place?" Caitlin asked as she, Barry, Cisco, Henry, Tina and Chloe exited the elevator to reveal some kind of hidden base underneath the clinic that honestly kind of looked like Star Labs.

"We call it the Speed Sanctum. This is where dad taught Barry and I how to use our speed." Chloe said.

"Technically Chloe, I'm still teaching you how to use your speed, so why don't you head out to the track while we give Cisco and Caitlin the tour." Henry said, since his daughter was still learning to control her speed, since it had only surfaced a few months before the accelerator had blown up.

"Okay, let me know when you make it to the speed lab." Chloe said as she handed her bag and jacket to her mom before speeding off, but Cisco and Caitlin were surprised that instead of being yellow like Barry's lightning was, the lightning Chloe generated was silver.

"Silver lightning?" Barry asked, since that was news to him too.

"Yeah, not sure why it's silver, but it's certainly unique." Henry said.

"What color is your lightning Mr. Allen?" Cisco asked him.

"It used to be dark yellow, but I lost my speed a few months before Barry's mom died. Don't ask." Henry said, since that was a personal matter he wasn't getting into with them. At least not yet.

"Okay then, why don't we get the tour started." Barry said, changing the subject.

"Actually, I think that we should head to the speed lab first, since Barry, I want to see how that lightning strike and coma affected your speed." Henry said, since he could tell that his son had been in a speed force coma, he just didn't know why.

"I think that's a good idea." Caitlin said, since she was curious about how Barry's speed had been affected as well.

"Well then, let's go." Barry said as he led the way to a room that looked just like the speed lab they'd had at Star Labs in the old reality and they saw a blur of silver already racing around the track.

"Okay Barry, get on the track and please try not to get into a race with your sister." Henry said, since every time Barry and Chloe had been on the track, they'd ended up racing and right now they were tied with wins, though Barry had a feeling he was about to blow his sister away, since he felt even faster than he'd been before Crisis.

"That's more on her." Barry said as he removed his jacket and to both of his parents' surprise, but not Cisco or Caitlin's, dark yellow lightning surged through Barry's eyes and he sped straight on to the track with far more lightning surrounding him than his parents were expecting and he quickly lapped his sister with ease.

"Well, how does it look?" Caitlin asked, though she and Cisco were resisting the urge to roll their eyes at the reaction Henry and Tina had on their faces at how fast Barry was running.

"He's never gone this fast before." Henry said, unable to believe what he was seeing.

"No one has. Not even you Henry." Tina said.

"Wait, what?" Henry or rather, Jay, asked.

"This is the fastest I've clocked you going back when you were in your prime." Tina said as she showed him, Cisco and Caitlin the screen that showed Henry suited up in Jay's Flash suit and his top speed and also showed the speed Barry was running at now.

"That's at least 5 times faster than I or any other speedster I know of has ever gone." Henry said.

"Maybe that coma somehow supercharged the speed force in his system and that's why he was in the coma, so his body could adjust?" Caitlin suggested.

"That's a good thought." Henry said, since while that did make sense, he couldn't understand why the speed force would do that.

"Wait, look at Chloe's vitals?" Cisco said as they saw that Chloe was attempting to go faster, most likely attempting to match her brother's speed.

"She's trying to push herself too hard." Henry said as he got on the intercom.

"Barry, you need to stop Chloe now before she hurts herself. She's trying to go too fast." Henry said.

The second Barry heard his father's words, he immediately began slowing down until he was able to stop Chloe in tracks and it was a good thing he did, since she was panting heavily and looked like she might puke any second.

"How are you so fast?" Chloe asked, trying to figure out as she tried to catch her breath.

"I'm betting that the coma I was in had something to do with it but seriously, don't push yourself so hard. You'll get faster eventually, but you need to work within your limits, otherwise, you'll probably end up getting yourself killed and I'm not losing you." Barry said, since he'd already lost his mother in both of these realities and he'd lost his father in the old reality and he wasn't going to lose any more family.

"Come on, let's go let Tina and Caitlin take a look at you to make sure you're okay." Barry said and Chloe nodded as she let her big brother pick her up and sped her off the track.

Because of Chloe's attempt to outdo her brother, the next stop of the tour of the speed sanctum was the medical bay so Caitlin and Henry and Tina could look her over.

"Okay, all your vitals check out, but you can't try to go that fast again. At least not for now." Henry said.

"But I want to be just as fast as Barry. It's not fair that he just got a major speed boost." Chloe said and Barry rolled his eyes.

"You'll get there eventually Chloe. I know this is ironic coming from me, but you're gonna have to be patient." Barry said.

"I'm a speedster, since when are we patient?" Chloe asked, getting a chuckle from her family, along with Cisco and Caitlin.

"Well, while Caitlin and Henry keep on looking over Chloe, Dr. McGee, can you show me around the rest of this place?" Cisco asked and Tina nodded as they continued the tour.
