To say Mary was shocked when the elevator opened in a place that could only be the Batcave was an understatement.

"Kate, are we where I think we are?" Mary asked as they walked out of the elevator.

"If you think we're in the batcave right now, then yes. And before you even try, I took your phone in the elevator, since this is a no selfie zone." Kate said, holding up Mary's phone.

"Why is there a hidden elevator that goes down to the Batcave in your office?" Mary asked.

"Well, I'll give you a hint. My office used to be Bruce's office." Kate said, wondering when Mary would put her super smart brain to use.

"Bruce is Batman." Mary said, the pieces finally falling into place for her.

"Well, he was Batman, since it wasn't just Wayne Enterprises he retired from." Kate said.

"Wait, if Batman's gone, then all the crazies in Gotham will be taking their shot." Mary said in a panic.

"And do you really think that I'd know about this place if Bruce wasn't preparing for this event?" Kate asked, looking at her sister like she was crazy.

"Wait, are you saying?" Mary asked, right as Kate activated the watch Brainy had given her to reveal her new and improved Batwoman suit.

"Batman's the past. Say hello to Batwoman." Kate said smugly.

"Okay, that is cool. I didn't know Wayne tech was working on something like that." Mary said.

"They're not. This is top secret tech that is not available to the general public. Only the hero community. Specifically a hero out in National City." Kate said.

"Wait, are you saying you've met Supergirl?" Mary asked, since if she wasn't thinking it before, she definitely was now. Her sister was the coolest member of her family.

"Yeah, you could say that." Kate said as she used her upgraded nanite suit to retract her wig and cowl to reveal a slight smirk that Mary recognized immediately.

"No." Mary said.

"Yep. Probably the first time I've ever slept with someone who's got more stamina than I do in the bedroom." Kate said with a grin.

"Okay, so you clearly know who she is." Mary said.

"I do and no I'm not telling you. That's her secret to tell, not mine. And no, it's not a recurring thing for us, more of a one time thing, but she's still one of my closest friends." Kate said.

"Okay then. But who else knows about this?" Mary asked.

"Well, your boyfriend for one and before you get mad at him, would you want to be the one to tell Batman you blew his secret?" Kate asked.

"Fair point, so I'll let him off the hook." Mary said.

"Other than that, the only other people who know who are still alive are Helena, Bruce's oldest foster son Dick Grayson, Alfred, Alfred's daughter Julia and Barbara Gordon." Kate said.

"Okay, Alfred, Dick, Helena and even Alfred's daughter I can understand, but how did Barbara Gordon know?" Mary asked.

"Because she's Dick's ex and also the former Batgirl. That is until the Joker shot her in the spine and paralyzed her. And yes, Luke's father also knew, since he was the one who built the Batsuit in the first place, but I'm still unclear on if Barbara's father knew. Bruce never told me and after he died, it didn't seem prudent to ask. I think that the original Commissioner Gordon acted like he didn't know so he'd have plausible deniability." Kate said.

"Got it. But Kate, why are you telling me all of this?" Mary asked.

"Because Mary, I don't want to keep any more secrets from you and also, my team could use an actual doctor that doesn't mind breaking rules, since I know all about your secret clinic that Bruce is funding and I plan on continuing that." Kate said, much to Mary's delight and relief.

"I'd be happy too." Mary said and Kate grinned, until they were interrupted by Luke running into the Batcave and turning on the batcomputer, which began flashing red.

"Luke, please tell me that's not what I think it is?" Kate asked as she rushed up to Luke's side.

"Nope. It's legit. There's a riot at Arkham and I don't think the guards or GCPD will be able to contain it, since there's already word of prisoners escaping.

"Check the status of Level 2." Kate said and Luke nodded as he typed some things and let out a sigh of relief.

"Looks like Level 2 is still secure." Luke said.

"Thank god." Kate agreed.

"What exactly is level two?" Mary asked.

"Right, sorry, we're gonna need to get used to having you here. Level Two is a secret level of Arkham that's run by a combination of us and Argus. It's where all of Bruce's worst enemies are kept, away from the general population of Arkham and it's kept secret to keep riots like this from allowing them the chance to escape. It's all above board, it's just kept secret for public safety." Kate explained.

"Who exactly is locked up down there?" Mary asked, unable to help herself.

"I'll give you the rundown later when I'm not trying to keep the worst of Gotham who aren't genocidal freaks from escaping. Luke, put Helena's gear in the batmobile and send it to pick her up. I'll take my batbike to Arkham and have her meet me there." Kate said.

"Got it." Luke said as Kate reactivated her cowl as she walked out and Luke began typing.

"So, now that you're done, why don't you tell me who we have to worry about being on the loose if this breakout does make its way to this secret level?" Mary asked her boyfriend as he finished typing and she heard the Batmobile drive off.

"Okay. Right now locked up down there are the Joker, the Riddler, the Penguin, Bane, Cluemaster, Calendar Man, Condiment King, Scarecrow, Clayface, Professor Pyg and Firefly." Luke said.

"Okay, I can't help but feel a bit concerned about the names that weren't on that list." Mary said.

"Mr. Freeze passed away years ago, Poison Ivy is being held in a more secure location that only Bruce and Kate know, Killer Croc is currently in hibernation in the swamps outside Gotham since he and Bruce reached a truce years ago and we keep a close eye on him and Mad Hatter is currently in hiding and has been for years. We're still looking for him, but he's being very good about laying low. Though once word gets out that a new Bat is showing up in Gotham, he might make an appearance. And finally, both Red Hood and Harley Quinn are in Argus custody." Luke said.

"Got it. Can't wait to see my sister and cousin in action." Mary said with a grin.

"Trust me, you are in for a treat." Luke said with a grin.
