Chapter 22

"Ms. Thea, what a pleasant surprise." Raisa said as she opened the door to find the younger Queen sibling standing in the doorway.

"Raisa, it's so good to see you." Thea said as she hugged her old nanny.

"You mean you miss my cooking?" Raisa asked with a smile, which Thea shared.

"Why can't it be both?" Thea asked and Raisa smiled at her.

"Anyways, is my mom home? I want to talk to her about a few things." Thea said, since honestly, there was more than one reason she'd come to talk to her mom about.

"Yes, in fact, she actually has a guest here looking at your family's art collection." Raisa said.

"Really." Thea said, right as her mother entered the hall, alongside a brunette who looked like she was of European descent.

"Thea, what a wonderful surprise. You're not here because you got kicked out of school are you?" Moira asked and Thea rolled her eyes.

"No mom, I did not get kicked out of school. I just wanted to surprise you, though I'm also here on a little business. Is Ollie around?" Thea asked.

"I don't know where your brother is, though I suspect he's trying to get his family out of the city." Moira said.

"What do you mean?" Thea asked.

"You didn't hear? Apparently Tommy turned himself into the SCPD headquarters and confessed to being an accomplice some kind of terrorist plot his father set in motion. It's all over the news." Moira said as she showed Thea news release on her phone.

"Oh my god." Thea said as she watched the press release that basically painted a huge target on Tommy's back.

"He'll be in good hands until his father is dealt with." Moira said as the other woman cleared her throat.

"Oh, my apologies. Thea, meet Diana Prince, a curator of cultural anthropology and archaeology from the Smithsonian in Washington DC. Ms. Prince, meet my daughter Thea." Moira said as the two women shook hands.

"It's nice to meet you Ms. Prince." Thea said.

"And you as well Ms. Queen. And please call me Diana." Diana said, though she couldn't help but get the feeling that there was something familiar about this young woman, even though she'd never met her before.

"It's Thea please. But anyways, mom, before we talk about what I came here for, do you mind if I call Ollie and see if he can tell me more about what's going on?" Thea asked.

"Of course." Moira nodded as Thea pulled out her phone and moved to the side to call her brother.

"Come on, Ollie pick up." Thea said as she heard her brother answer the phone.

"Thea, now's not really a good time." she heard her brother say in his Green Arrow voice.

"Really, not a good time for you to know that I'm in Star City and ready to suit up to help Tommy while you put his dad in the ground?" Thea asked smartly.

"Do I even want to know why you're here and not in Ivy Town protecting your city?" Oliver asked.

"Probably not. Just be grateful I am. Let me guess, Malcolm is sending the Thanatos Guild to assassinate Tommy?" Thea asked.

"Most likely with Athena leading the charge. John and Sara are already en route, but neither of them have the power of a Greek god at their disposal. The more help the better. Where are you now?" Oliver asked.

"At the mansion visiting mom, but I can make up an excuse." Thea said.

"Good." Oliver said and Thea could tell that he was relieved by her help.

"I thought you'd be telling me to get out of the city?" Thea asked.

"And if you were still the same person you were when the Undertaking happened last time, I would be, since let's face it, old you wouldn't have stood a chance." Oliver said.

"You're right about that. Old me never would've had what it takes to be a hero, let alone a goddess. But anyways, I'm heading to the precinct now." Thea said.

"Good. I'll let John and Sara know that they're gonna get reinforcements. And hurry." Oliver said.

"Will do. Especially since I owe Athena some serious payback, even if she hasn't done anything to me yet." Thea said.

"Do it." Oliver said as Thea hung up and went to make an excuse to her mom, unaware that someone had been listening in on her conversation the whole time.

Thea was grateful that her mother had bought her excuse of wanting to make sure Jasmine was okay so she could in reality head to the police precinct and when she arrived, she could tell it was a good thing she'd arrived when she did, since it sounded like a war zone inside.

"Time to go to work." Thea said as she looked around to make sure no one was watching before she summoned her Artemis armor to appear on her body and as suit as she was suited up, Artemis headed inside, just in time to see Athena about to skewer her brother and not the one who could kill her easily if he wanted too.

"No, I won't lose him again." Artemis said as she pulled out her bow and charged up a silver energy arrow that she fired directly into Athena's hand, just in time to knock her sword out of her hand.

"Who dares interfere with the will of the Thanatos Guild?" Athena demanded before she saw Artemis standing there.

"Someone who thinks you're an insult to your namesake." Artemis said as she began firing regular arrows into the other Guild members just in time to save the lives of numerous SCPD officers, including Captain Pike and Detective Hilton. Two more people whose deaths she was determined to prevent. Though maybe not as badly she wanted to prevent Tommy's death.

"Impressive aim. You could be one of us." Athena said.

"I will never ally myself with you." Artemis said as she charged towards Athena, who managed to raise her sword in time to block Artemis's bow.

"You don't deserve your name. You're not a warrior, you're just a thug in a fancy costume." Artemis growled as she kicked Athena back.

"How dare you." Athena snarled as she lunged towards Artemis, only to be knocked back by some kind of shockwave.

"What the hell?" Artemis asked, since that definitely wasn't her.

"You're welcome." A familiar voice said as Artemis turned to see that Diana Prince woman dressed in a red leather bodice, topped by a golden eagle, connected to a blue leather skirt, seemingly held together by a golden belt that resembles a 'W', along with a set of matching red boots, consisting of adjustable greaves, as well as a matching golden armbands which resembles the shape of the 'W' belt. Attached to that belt was some kind of lasso and she was wearing a shield on her back all Captain America style.

"Who are you?" Artemis asked her.

"I could ask you the same question. Especially since you wear the armor of the goddess Artemis." Diana said.

"I am Artemis. Long story, but can we focus on it after we finish saving the day?" Artemis asked, since for some reason, she trusted this Diana woman, who nodded at her.

"Call me Wonder Woman." Diana said as the two got back to the battle.
