Chapter 2

It was approaching the end of her trip in Star City and Thea knew that there was one thing left she needed to do before she went back to Ivy Town and that was why she now found herself in the Glades, walking up to a house that looked just as rundown as she remembered it.

"He seriously couldn't have fixed it up a little bit?" Thea rolled her eyes as she walked up to the house.

"Funny, I don't seem to recall you minding considering how many times you spent the night here." Roy Harper said with a smile as he snuck up behind her.

"Very funny. How'd you know I was coming?" Thea asked.

"I've honestly been waiting for you to show up to beat the shit out of me for ghosting you like that." Roy said.

"Actually, I think I get it. You were in a really bad headspace after what happened when you worked with Ollie and you got freaked out, completely forgetting that if anyone knows what that bloodlust was like, it's me. Doesn't mean I'm not still pissed at you for it though." Thea said.

"I thought that you would be safer if you weren't around me. Believe me, I didn't want to end things with you the way I did." Roy said.

"I know. And lucky for you, technically, you haven't done anything yet in this universe, so as long as you promise me that the next time you do something like this, you'll talk to me instead of just freaking out and bailing, I'll give you another chance." Thea said and Roy smiled.

"Thank you, Thea. So, I'm guessing this is when you tell me to pack my bags so I can go to Ivy Town with you?" Roy asked.

"Did Oliver call you?" Thea asked.

"We had a reunion yesterday where I was glad to see him alive and he threatened me with every weapon imaginable if I pulled anything like that again." Roy said.

"Well he didn't need to do that, since if you do, it's not my brother you need to be scared of." Thea said.

"I know, it's you." Roy said.

"Good, just wanted to make sure we're clear on that." Thea said.

"So, I've already started packing." Roy said.

"Good. But it seems like you're a bit too eager to leave Star City." Thea said, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Forgive me for not wanting to go through being one of Slade's mirakuru minions again, since honestly, that is when my life began to fall apart." Roy said.

"That is what caused Ollie to bring you into the fold and make you Arsenal." Thea reminded him.

"Good point, but at the same time, it also caused me to have to keep giving you up. Hell, it was the mirakuru that prevented the lotus cure from working on me." Roy said.

"Point. But I do agree, I like you a lot better when you're not on drugs." Thea said and Roy rolled his eyes.

"Very funny. So, want to help me finish packing?" Roy asked.

"Yeah sure, the sooner we do that, the sooner I can show you your new home." Thea said and Roy nodded in agreement as they got to work packing up his stuff.

The next morning found Thea and Roy standing outside the Queen Mansion with Oliver standing with them before they left.

"So Roy, remember, take care of my sister or else." Oliver said.

"Or else you get to shoot whatever is left of me once Thea's done with me." Roy said and Oliver nodded.

"Just wanted to be sure that we were clear about that. But you know you're going to have to meet mom again eventually." Oliver said.

"Yeah, I think I'll put that off as long as possible, since don't we need to get going?" Roy asked and Thea nodded.

"Yeah, besides, I usually like to wait a little while before I introduce mom to the boyfriends. Even if this one's a keeper." Thea said and Roy smiled at her.

"She gave you another chance Roy. Don't blow it." Oliver said, since while Roy was like a brother to him, he would always put Thea first.

"I could say the same thing about you and Laurel." Thea pointed out.

"Very funny Speedy. Oh, I called Ryan last night after the party and it sounds like he's interested in helping you out." Oliver said and Thea grinned.

"Good. Now if you'll excuse us, we do need to get going, since at least one of us cares about going to school." Thea said.

"Since when?" Oliver asked with a smile.

"Since I decided I didn't want to be you." Thea said.

"One last thing before you go." Oliver said.

"And what might that be?" Thea asked.

"Have you figured out how exactly you're going to fund your operations in Ivy Town, since you can't exactly use your trust fund without mom finding out." Oliver said.

"How are you funding yours, since you don't have Felicity to pay for them anymore." Thea asked, since in the old reality, Team Arrow had pretty much been financed by Felicity and whatever country she was working on.

"Lyla's covering us, since technically, John is an Argus agent, he's just not active. The official cover is that Team Arrow is one of those task forces that doesn't actually exist, so it's off the books, no records and since Argus has plenty of those, it won't look out of place." Oliver said.

"So you're getting Argus funding. Nice." Thea said.

"We're just lucky that Lyla is not Waller." Oliver said.

"I think I might have an idea for how we can get funding too, since Thea can't exactly use Queen Consolidated resources until she takes over." Roy said.

"What is it?" Thea asked.

"Doesn't Argus have a base in Ivy Town?" Roy asked and Oliver nodded.

"You should stop by Argus on your way back to Ivy Town and talk to Lyla about it, since personally, I think that's a better idea since it prevents our family's company from being accused of embezzlement." Oliver said and Thea nodded.

"You sure you want to be an Argus agent though?" Thea asked her boyfriend.

"Honestly, Lyla did approach me about that back before Crisis, saying that it would be a good way for me to atone for what I did. I'm gonna see if that offer is still good." Roy said and Thea nodded.

"Okay then, guess we've got a plan, but if we're stopping at Argus, we better get going." Thea said and Roy nodded as they both got in Thea's car, since Oliver had already hired a moving truck to take Roy's stuff to Ivy Town earlier this morning so it would be there when they arrived, and then headed out.
