Chapter 1

The first chapter or two of this story will likely serve as a bit of crossover with Arrow, since it takes place after Oliver's homecoming party.

As Oliver's homecoming party wound down, Thea finally found the time to pull her brother aside.

"So, I'm guessing this is where you tell me that you're not going to be shooting arrows on a constant basis?" Oliver asked her.

"Actually no." Thea said, surprising him.

"Really?" Oliver asked.

"Yeah, I just won't be doing it here. Not only am I going to school in Ivy Town, but unlike Star City, they've never had anyone protecting them from the crime problems and it's getting worse. It needs someone to protect it in a way that the police can't or won't." Thea said and Oliver smiled.

"Sounds like my little sister is going to be joining the family business after all." Oliver said and Thea rolled her eyes, but smiled at that.

"True, but with my own team. Not as a member of yours, since honestly, my time with Nyssa and then Talia taught me something about myself." Thea said.

"And what might that be?" Oliver asked, though he was pretty sure he already knew.

"I'm not a follower anymore. Not like I was when I was still a rookie after the Outbreak." Thea said and Oliver chuckled.

"No you're not Speedy. You've grown into a leader. One that any team will be lucky to follow." Oliver said.

"Thanks Ollie, though I did have a very good teacher and before you deny it, what I mean is that you showed me everything a good leader shouldn't do." Thea said.

"You're hilarious Speedy." Oliver said with a chuckle.

"But seriously Ollie, the fact that you managed to keep Team Arrow together for so long and lead them to victory every year, it means something. You taught me everything I know about being a leader, though this time I am choosing my own name." Thea said.

"So, I'm guessing that means you're going with Red Arrow?" Oliver asked, since that had been Thea's original name choice.

"No, that might get confusing, since I don't want people to be able to immediately guess that I have a connection to the legendary Green Arrow. Besides, red is more Roy's color than mine. I plan on getting my own suit, not his hand me downs." Thea said and Oliver nodded.

"Well, I do have a name suggestion for you." Oliver said.

"Okay and what might that be?" Thea asked, curiously.

"Artemis." Oliver suggested.

"Wasn't that Evelyn's call sign?" Thea asked, remembering the traitor.

"I think you're a lot more worthy of it, plus you're a natural huntress and from what mom told me, you look great in silver." Oliver said and Thea thought about it.

"I guess you're still picking my name after all, but at least this time, I get to approve it before you tell everyone to call me it." Thea said.

"Have you reached out to Roy yet?" Oliver asked and Thea shook her head.

"I want to give him a bit more time to try to come up with an apology for ghosting me before I put him out of his misery and take him back, which means that you're not going to have him on your team." Thea said.

"I have Spartan, Black Canary and Wild Dog, we'll be fine without Arsenal and Artemis. I'm more concerned about the fact that I don't have an Overwatch anymore." Oliver said.

"Yeah, I'm going to need one of those too." Thea said.

"Isn't there a teacher at Ivy Town University named Ryan Choi?" Oliver asked.

"Yeah, he works in the science department, why?" Thea asked.

"Because he's one of the paragons, which means that he remembers the old universe and since he's a genius, I think he'd fit that role perfectly for you." Oliver said and Thea smiled.

"Thanks. Good luck finding someone to replace Felicity at work, since it looks like Laurel has taken her place in your heart, not that I can blame you." Thea said.

"You are going to come back and visit right?" Oliver asked.

"Considering the fact that someone needs to tell your daughter embarrassing stories about her dad, yeah, I am." Thea assured him.

"Good. Now let's get back to the others." Oliver said and Thea nodded.
