Chapter 4

After she'd established her connection with Artemis, Thea began training harder over the next two years, furthering her connection to Artemis and learning to use the new powers the moon goddess had given her.

Her favorite ability was the fact that she could now summon her own version of Artemis's battle armor whenever she wanted. The armor resembled Amazonian armor, except it was pure silver, like the moon, though it was more protective, seeing as it covered her whole body and even included a silver hood and mask, though at the time Thea hadn't understood why, but now she knew that it was a silver version of her old vigilante gear from the old reality, since as her connection to Artemis increased, she began getting flashes of a life she'd never lived. A life where she learned that her brother was still alive and that he'd become a hero and she'd been a part of his team.

After about a few months, she fully remembered the old world, which is how she knew that her brother was still alive and just like how she was going through her own journey to become a hero, he was still going through his. She just couldn't wait to see the look on his face when she showed him the new her, since she was definitely different than she'd been before.

Anyways, as Thea continued to enhance her connection to Artemis, the more she began to communicate with the goddess and as she did, she could tell they were both getting stronger.

But speaking of that, one night, after Thea fell asleep, she found herself back in the void, speaking with Artemis again.

"Hello Thea. As you can tell, we're both doing well." Artemis said and Thea nodded, since Artemis certainly seemed stronger and more stable than she had the last time.

"What's going on? I get the feeling that this isn't a social call." Thea asked.

"You're right. I've brought you here to tell you that you've learned all you can from the amazons." Artemis said.

"So does that mean that I can go home now?" Thea asked.

"No, you still have more to learn, the Amazons just can't teach it to you." Artemis said.

"Then who can?" Thea asked.

"Another lost civilization that worshiped my kind. Atlantis." Artemis said.

"Wait, Atlantis is real?" Thea asked, trying to wrap her head around that.

"Yes, it is. And while learning to fight as an Amazon will help you in what's coming, along with the combat training you now remember receiving from the world of men, you still need to learn the fighting techniques of Atlantis, since whoever it is that is carrying on Ares's presence will not expect you to be able to fight in every technique that exists on this planet." Artemis said.

"How do I find Atlantis, since I'm assuming it's still underwater?" Thea asked.

"It is and unfortunately, while we may be linked, you're still human, which means that you can't breathe underwater." Artemis said.

"Okay then, how do you suggest I get there, since I highly doubt Atlanteans come to the surface very often." Thea said and Artemis smiled.

"I didn't say that it wouldn't be possible, just that it wouldn't be easy." Artemis said.

"You've got my attention." Thea said.

"There is someone who might be able to at least provide you with a means of getting there, even if he wants nothing to do with Atlantis himself." Artemis said.

"Who?" Thea asked.

"I believe your world has a name for him. Aquaman." Artemis said.

"Wait, I just finished wrapping my head around the idea that Wonder Woman and the Greek Gods are real, now not only are you telling that Atlantis is real, but so is another folktale. The hero who supposedly saves sailors and ships from being lost at sea." Thea said.

"He's real. I don't know much about him, but I do know where you can at least start to look for him." Artemis said.

"And?" Thea asked.

"Back home in America, but in a town called Amnesty Bay. I don't know where he is in that town, but it's the best place to start." Artemis said.

"At least I can finally get back to the modern world. This old school crap is starting to get on my nerves. I need some wifi." Thea said and Artemis chuckled.

"You've learned all you can with the Amazons. I think you'll find Atlantis very interesting." Artemis said and Thea just nodded, since she'd learned early on that Artemis could be vague about things like that, so she just accepted it and allowed the vision to end.
