[The Train Ride]
After twenty-four tributes have been reaped from the twelve Districts of Panem, they are immediately whisked off by Peacekeepers to a train that will carry them all the way to the Capitol itself, where they will be prepped and trained for the Hunger Games.
The train is decked and furnished with Panem's finest luxuries. Velvet couch cushions, cashmere throw-pillows, silk table cloths, meticulously carved mahogany coffee tables and armchairs, heavily embroidered curtains, and rich carpeting adorn every compartment and car of the train. But perhaps the real show-stopper lies with the food—all the baked goods, professionally-prepared delicacies, refreshing beverages, and more than one could imagine, strategically placed in crystalline glasses or bowls and accompanied by solid gold eating utensils, are just a snap of their fingers away. Enough food to feed an army, and probably more.
Each District gets their own car of the train, with District One's being the nearest to the train's engine and District Twelve's being the nearest to the caboose. The tributes are not confined to their assigned car, however, and are permitted to go to the caboose car and mingle with other tributes, or even any mentors that happen to be there. The rest of the train is off limits.
The caboose car is large, and very spacious, despite the fact that it's littered with top-of-the-line furniture. A long table lines one of the walls, and is packed with appetizers and a vast assortment of desserts, all delicately arranged on the pure silk table-cloth.
(I do dearly hope that some of you don't see this as an invitation to initiate a food fight *cough* I'm looking at you, corgi and Milly)
The tributes are free to socialize with each other, form alliances, or even make enemies. In order to ensure that things don't get out of control, however, there's two peacekeepers stationed at the entrance/exit to the caboose car, and they won't hesitate to use force if necessary and escort your tribute back to their appropriate District car, so behave.
CHAPTER INFO
•I will be setting up a chain for each District, and will tag each of you to the appropriate chain for your convenience•
•Please keep your characters in either their District chain, or the caboose chain•
•When you start, your characters have already been reaped•
•The goal of this chapter is just to kick everything off. Meaning, you can make allies, and especially enemies, and maybe put the tea-kettle on the burner—just get things brewing. Try not to go too crazy yet though!•
•do not let your characters kill anyone—and please refrain from them injuring each other as much as possible (just cause there's peacekeepers stationed everywhere, and they will confine your character to their district car if they act out of line)•
•I'd like to also let you know that all non-roleplay comments posted outside of the roleplaying chains will be deleted, so I'm just apologizing in advance for that. (This is simply to avoid losing the actual roleplay chains in a sea of comments. I wanna keep things organized)•
•Any questions or concerns you might have may be voiced in the Chat Chain•
•Also—lemme know if you can read the font for the chapter title. I know that it doesn't always register for everyone, so I can change it if it's a problem•
•Have fun, and may the odds be ever in your favor!•
