3rd person's POV

"Boy, you really got a good catch on that one, Stephan." Zephyr came barging in Stephan's office, using his usual cold business voice. He was wearing his dark gray business suit and it looks like he just went to a meeting.

Stephan raised his head then let out a scoff. "What did she do this time?" He didn't even care at all what she said. All he wants is her out of his life.

"Wanna see?" Zephyr grabbed the remote control that was on the desk and pointe it at the huge flag screen tv.

And her face shows up ...

"Yes. We are dating and we are going strong. Stephan and I tried to make our relationship slow but we're just too in love with each other."

Then off.

Stephan can't help but wince at the statement she just gave. He ran his hands through his hair and just continued typing on his laptop. He needs to finish this presentation he needs to give to his staff. It's a presentation about the proposal of the new dishes, new rules and new criteria.

He is now the CEO of the Draco Chain of Restaurants. This is what his Father gave him before he died three years ago.

This is the only thing he did for the past three years once he got off the island. And no news about her.

Ariana

She just vanished all of a sudden. He tried to search for her but its like they were playing cat and mouse. Stephan was the cat while Ariana was the mouse. He was hunting her down but it looks like she was expert in hiding.

He even paid his friend Rune to investigate her.

Stephan didn't know what to do. He is fighting in his mind of he is gonna give up or just continue on searching.

It's like Ariana really planned on not showing herself to him.

"What are you planning to do with Chloe?" Zephyr broke his thoughts. "Now that she just dropped the bomb and told everyone that you're dating...even love each other."

"Then I will do what I will always do..." Stephan showed an evil smirk "Humiliate her."

Zephyr let out a manly laugh "What do I expect? That's what you like doing"

Stephan tried to finish his job while Zephyr just remained in his office, drinking a bottle of scotch. He had a huge shelf of liquor and beers in his own office because most of the time this is where he and his idiot friends hang out and...at times when he just feel like drinking to death.

Then suddenly, his mahogany door opened once again revealing his friend, Rune.

"Hey, bastards." Rune greeted, he was holding a brown envelope.

"Fuck off, asshole." Zephyr hissed back, while holding a glass. Rune seems to notice the drinks because he quickly head to the sofa and poured himself his own.

Stephan closed his laptop, and turn his swivel hair to their direction. "What are you doing here? Aren't you on duty on protecting your princess?"

Rune just chuckled and drink his scotch straight "She's angry at me right now so I just gave her a little time off." He went his way to his desk.

"Where is she right now?" Zephyr asked.

The smile in Rune's face disappeared and an scowl "Maybe with her boyfriend? I don't know."

"Oh so poor little Jasmine Curt has a boyfriend?" Stephan raised an eyebrow, totally teasing his friend.

Rune narrowed his eyes at him and showed him his middle finger  "Honestly, that spoiled brat has a lot of boyfriends. Different men every date, at every occasions." His face shows how disappointed he is. "She also had this weird thing and he calls them boyfriend one, then there's boyfriend four and so on. She's a playgirl"

"You just can't believe that you finally met a woman like you. Someone who looks for an entertainment in bed. " Stephan joked, bursting into laughter.

The side of Zephyr's lips curved like he was going to laugh but Rune already glared at him.

"Well, what do you expect? That's Jasmine Curt you we are talking about. All men wants that supermodel. " he also added with a sigh. "I just want this duty to be over so I could go back on my real job. Babysitting is such a pain in the ass."

"Get used to it. You're an asshole anyway." Zephyr chuckled.

"Sometimes I don't know if you guys are really my friends. You always heart my feelings." Rune joked as he played with the figurines on top of my desk.

"What are you doing here anyway?" Stephan finally managed to ask.

But once he asked that, Rune's smile disappeared and went serious in a split second. There is his tough look. He didn't say anything instead, he threw the brown envelop that he was carrying on top of the desk towards Stephan.

He looked at Rune in a confused look. He doesn't have a clue about this.

"Look at it." He told Stephan. His eyebrows touched then just followed what he did. He grab the envelope and opened it.

His eyes widened seeing what's inside.

Stephan has been searching for her for a year now and now here is a photo of Ariana.

"I finally found her." Rune mumbled with a deep voice causing the room to feel so cold around them. Even Zephyr froze at his seat hearing this news.

Stephan brought out all of the pictures out and they are all photos of Ariana. He flipped them all and studied it. They are all taken from a far but he can quickly distinguished that this is definitely her. There's no mistake about that.

"How did you find her?"

"It happened that Ariana and my lady are best friends, not just best friends more like sisters. They are really close ." Rune started while burying his hands in his pockets. "That day, Jasmine told me not to guard her because she is going on a vacation with her friends and it's gonna be a girl's night out. But of course, as her bodyguard. I didn't listened. I followed her secretly and found out that Ariana was there. So since that day, I started investigating her, followed her and even studied her."

"And I also saw photos of them in her phone." He pointed out the pictures that was taken by Jasmine.

"That really is Ariana. After all these time. She is just around the corner." Stephan thought.

Stephan nearly tore the papers he was looking at. His blood flares seeing it and he didn't even know the reason why he is feeling like that.

"Why can't I find her?"

"Ariana Cruz really must have sense that you will be investigating her so she made a really good job in hiding. She hid herself in a very simple town, a seven hours drive from here  called San Clarinet and build her own cafe shop." He explained really clearly.

Stephan leaned back on his swivel chair, placing a hand on his chin as if he was thinking.

"So she really did want to get away from me. Tsk, wrong choice, Doll. You'll never win against me."

"Who's this to her?" He raised the photo of Ariana...hugging a man.

It took seconds before Rune could answer his questions.

"Cliff Bradley, he's 39 years old and a surgeon. I didn't investigate him much but––"

"Who's he to her?" Stephan repeated the question but this time his tone was more strong and colder.

"Her fiance."

Then Stephan now crippled the paper in his fist and groaned. He doesn't really like hearing that word. Because the last time he got engaged to a girl that was a mistake and even ended up marrying her and now, the most important girl in his life also gives importance to that word but with another man.

What could be the reason of his anger?

Stephan really had no clue on how to answer that question. His friends just looked at him and seems like they know the answer.

"What?" He turned to them.

Zephyr shook his head and laughed. "Still trying to deny it, Draco?"

"Deny what?"

"That you love Ariana Cruz ever since you two where in the island." Rune replied with a sarcastic smile. "You are the king of denial, chef. "

Stephan narrowed his eyes at the two bastards and he really does want to break their necks right now. "I'm happy for Ariana. Right from the start, we made it clear that our relationship will remain in in the island. We will forget all that happened between us." He spoke with a heavy chest.

Rune just smirked and turned to Zephyr with a unknown look. Stephan just ignored it and looked at the things he had to take care off, his files. He just focused on his works and let the talk whatever they want to think.

He doesn't care anymore.

Why didn't Ariana tell me that about this? Did she really planned to cut what we had and just forget everything?

He is definitely  making sure that she will feel sorry she did that. He is not gonna let this pass through.

"Hey Rune, investigate her more, where she lives, where she works, what she's been doing and get some information about her fiancé." I ordered.

Rune raises an eyebrow "Says the man who doesn't care, huh?"

"Just do it." His voice evokes strong and cold. Showing no emotions. He didn't paid any attention anymore and continued doing something in his laptop. Continue doing his work. This is his way if he wanted to forget her. Something that will turn his attention away from all his distractions.

You will pay for this, Ariana. I'll make you regret that you left me.

......

Later that evening , Stephan was driving his way towards his house when he suddenly had a phone call. He checked it and saw Chloe's name flashed so he decided to ignore it. He has no time to talk to her right now. Besides, he's very tired and he doesn't want someone especially Chloe to destroy his mood.

When he reached his place, his huge automatic gate opened for him as he drive his Mustang inside to his garage but before he could turn off the engine...he finally saw Chloe waiting for him outside his door, impatiently tapping her foot with her arms crossed.

Stephan let out a deep sigh. This is such a pain in the ass.

He opened his car door and closed it with a slam. "Do you really have to show up in my house?" He asked through gritted teeth.
Chloe raised her chin and walked closer "If you could just answered me back my calls or replied to my texts...maybe, I didn't come here in the first place."

"Shit." He silently cursed while running his hands through his now messy hair. "Stop fucking behaving like you're my girlfriend, Chloe. How many times do I have to tell you that? Or you want me to shove that in your tiny brain?"

He sure is angry.

Stephan really wanted to grip her neck tightly and kill her right now. This woman is so obsessed with her. He hates women like her yet he can't believe he agreed on sleeping with that leech. That was one of the worst decisions he had ever made.  God, how he hate commitment that much.

He just hates clingy women.

Chloe just looked at him with teary eyes. It's like she was  going to say something but he didn't listened anymore. He stride inside his house, leaving her out there alone.

So annoying. He muttered in his head. He came home so he could rest but he could have just gone straight to the club if he just knew that Chloe will be there. When he entered his house, he switched on the lights and his living room flashed to his eyes and as usual...he's alone again.

He went straight to his kitchen and cooked something for himself. He made a simple spaghetti and he was starting to enjoy the sound of silence.

This is Stephan Draco's life though.

Alone and simple.

He doesn't have anyone to date so he is definitely going to be alone for the rest of his life. No plans on getting married even if he gets old.

Although he tried to go on dates, but some only lasted on beds. Still,  he didn't give his heart a chance to fall. He only let his feelings come first and that one time only.

And that was with Ariana.

Tsk, how devastated he became when he knew that Ariana broke her promise by leaving her without any words from her.
She should have just said it to his face that she doesn't want to see him again then that could be accepted.

No woman dares to leave him. It is Stephan who leaves women.

Once Stephan finished his daily routine. You know, wash the dishes, take a warm shower, clean his room then he went straight to his own private office where he finished all of his just job.

But he just can't focused right now. He is too occupied at the thought of Ariana. He feels so near to her now that she finally knew where she is.

"Soon. I'll see you soon" a smirk formed in his lips and continued his work.
