She stood in front of a dark oak door. With an intense stare, she glares at the silver numbers in the center. What made her agree to this was beyond her.

It was simply the spur of the moment type of thing. Her attraction to the man caused her to become his child's babysitter. Yuna was dreading this moment, dreading to see Jungkook with his child.

Yet, she gained the courage to knock twice before stepping back timidly. On the other side, she could hear loud shouting then giggling before heavy steps headed for the door.

The door flies open revealing, Jungkook in navy slacks and a white buttoned shirt with a blue tie over it. Yuna takes notice of the small, relieved smile upon his rosy lips. He stands before her, allowing Yuna to look up at him.

"Well, I didn't expect you to be early," he smiles. Yuna shrugs casually, ignoring that thumping sensation within her chest. Her lips tugged upwards into a smile but, stops herself short.

"I had nothing to do really," She mumbles in monotone. Jungkook's smile falters, his heart sinking.

Seeing Yuna being casual with a lack of interest in him somehow hit him like a ton of bricks. It would be a lie if he said it didn't bother him. But, he pushes the troubling thoughts aside and shuffles to the side.

"Come in," he gestures with a hand. Yuna nods and takes a step into the entryway. As she takes off her shoes, Yuna hears Jungkook close the door before padding his way past her. Quickly, she follows him into the apartment.

It was a huge area consisting of both the living room and kitchen. Boxes scattered the floor, some created towers in corners of the living while some remained opened, half-empty. Yuna gawks at the sight, shocked at how many boxes were still present. Jungkook waltzes into the kitchen and opens the fridge.

"Would you like some water? Or a cup of coffee?" He asks politely, as he takes out a bottle of water. He turns to the young woman and catches her stunned expression. His cheeks flush red and, he releases a forced chuckle.

"I'm quite sorry about the mess," he breathes with a shake of his head. "It's hard to unpack all at once when I'm not home most of the day."

Yuna shakes out of her daze, not realizing how impolite she must've looked. Clearing her throat, she steers her attention away from the clutter and walks into the kitchen. It was small but functional.

Yet, she had to say it did feel a bit crowded when both she and Jungkook stood in it. Seeing the bottle in his hands, Yuna nods and gestures for it.

"I'll just take the bottle, thanks."

Mutely, Jungkook hands it to her and watches place herself on the other side of the counter. Both didn't mention the awkwardness lingering in the air there, was too much on their mind. Forming a simple conversation seemed like a difficult task.

Jungkook pondered how long it took for Mihi to come out of her room. She was laughing and shouting at him a moment ago. Taking glances, he saw how uncomfortable Yuna looked. He knew the cause of it. He was uncomfortable too. Biting his bottom lip, he finally looks at the young woman.

"Yuna, you're okay with this, right?" When she finally looks at him, Jungkook realized how stupid the question sounded.

Why did he ask such a thing? Of course, she was okay. She agreed to it. He averts her gaze, swearing to himself how insecure he must've sounded.

Yuna manages a small nod, her heart thumping anxiously within. She tries to push back those foul thoughts of the situation and smiles softly.

"Why wouldn't I be?" She asks in a tone barely audible for Jungkook. He glances back, intending to answer until he heard rushing footsteps coming out of the hall.

"Yun Yun!"

Jungkook watches Mihi run happily towards Yuna, crashing into her legs. She wraps her arms around them while giggling hysterically. Panic began to swell inside the older, and he takes a step towards the two.

"Hey, Mihi, I don't think you should be--"

"It's fine," Yuna assures, knowing what Junkook was going to say. Flashing him a tiny smile, she bends down to Mihi's height.

"I'm glad you remembered my name," Yuna grins happily. Mihi stands before her with a beaming smile and nods vigorously.

"Yun Yun is a cute name!" She exclaims. "I can't forget it!" With a small bit of force, Yuna releases a small chuckle before patting the top of the girl's head.

"Oh, I must get going," Jungkook mutters when he glances at the time. Both girls look up at him as he places on his navy suit jacket.

Mihi dashes to him, jumping into his arms. Automatically, Jungkook spins her in circles a few times. Yuna silently watches she notices the bright smile upon Jungkook's lips with Mihi mirroring it while laughing as well.

She took this as a chance to notice how different Jungkook is around his daughter. He was warm, caring, and loving towards her. She never witnessed this side of him.

It brought immense warmth throughout her body. She couldn't understand it. She couldn't understand why her heart melted when she saw them.

"I'm going to miss you, my little bunny!" Jungkook gushes as he pretends to squeeze her tightly.

"Ah, daddy! I can't breathe!" Mihi laughs. Jungkook joins in and loosens his hold.

"Now, I want you to be polite and nice to Miss Han," Jungkook says. "You're going to spend the day with her, so be nice." Mihi releases a small huff as she puffs out her cheek.

"I'm not mean, daddy," she pouts. "I won't be rude to Yun Yun!"

Yuna had to laugh. Mihi was quite the character. She reminded her of a smaller version of Jungkook.

"That's right," Yuna adds. "A princess can't be mean to another princess. Right, Mihi?"

Mihi's eyes lit up at her words. She remembers calling me that!

A surging sensation of excitement ignites within the child, her eyes sparkling at the beautiful woman before her. She gets out of Jungkook's hold and jumps on the woman. Stunned, Yuna catches her and holds her tightly in her arms.

"Wanna be my friend, Yun Yun?" She asks excitedly. It surprised Yuna. Her eyes widen at the question, but her smile broadens as well.

"Of course! It would be an honor."

Listening to his child cheer in joy, Jungkook chuckles softly to himself, making sure Yuna couldn't hear.

"Alright, I'm off to work then." He walks to the entryway with Yuna at his heels. When he placed on his shoes, he turns around to bid his goodbye once more.

But he couldn't do that. At least, not right away. He was stunned to see Yuna and Mihi waiting for him by the door. Propped on Yuna's hip, she smiles happily at him.

"Come home soon, okay, daddy?" She bubbles. Silently, he glances at Yuna, who was fighting the urge to smile. His mood dampened slightly at her resistance but pretended it didn't bother him.

He gazes at the two one last time, feeling slightly. . .content seeing the two. It was like they were--No.

He refuses to have that thought. Refuses to even see himself in that situation. Clearing his throat, he kisses Mihi's forehead.

"I'll be back before you know it, sweetie." Turning to Yuna, he wipes away his smile. "If you need anything, call me anytime, alright? I'll try to be home by six-thirty."

Mutely, Yuna nods and watches him exit the apartment. With a small sigh, she puts down the child. She still wasn't sure why this girl was attached to her.

Nevertheless, she wasn't about to disappoint Mihi and Jungkook today. Forcing a smile, she tilts her head.

"What do would like to do today, Mihi?"

Yuna had doubts about spending the day with Mihi. She was still torn about her reasons to be distant from Jungkook but, just seeing this wonderful child was astonishing. Mihi was cute as a button.

There was some bubby magic radiating off the child and, it didn't fail to work on Yuna. In a couple of hours, the young woman started to admire Mihi. Her heart melted each time she was the cause of her laughter.

What was amazing was Mihi's vivid imagination. One minute they were damsels in distress, then the next, they were swash-buckling pirates who stole some lost treasure.

It wasn't a surprise to Yuna to see Mihi yawn here and there when the sun finally set. It was already seven-fifty and, there was no sign of Jungkook returning soon. Although that didn't seem to bother Mihi, she was too engrossed with having Yuna around and entertaining her that her dad's missing presence barely dwindled in her thoughts.

Yuna wanted to call him but decides against it. She glances at the child beside her on the floor who was falling asleep. Chuckling to herself, she gently takes Mihi's tiara off.

"Ready to go to sleep?" She asks sweetly. Tiredly, Mihi shakes her head with a pout.

"No," she replies. "I wanna play with you more."

"We can play once you wake up, Mihi," Yuna smiles. "It's past your bedtime, I bet."

Exhaustion has finally claimed the child, her protests stopped and, nods sleepily. Turning her body, she leans against Yuna gaining a bit of warmth. After a moment, Yuna listens to the soft breathing beside her.

Yuna stares down at her with a loving gaze she never thought she would like her so quickly. Quietly as she could, she picks up Mihi and carries her to her room. She places her softly atop the mattress before covering her with a blanket.

When she finishes tucking her in, she turns on her nightlight before exiting the room. Just as she closes the door, the front door opens. Coming out from the entryway was an exhausted Jungkook. His hair seemed disheveled and, his body was sluggish.

"Is she already asleep?" Jungkook questions, in a way of greeting. Nodding, Yuna enters the living room.

"Yeah, just tucked her in." Heaving a sigh, Jungkook falls on the couch.

"I'm sorry for being late," he apologizes. "But it looks like I've been selected for some project."

Yuna allows him to ramble on about work and walks into the kitchen to grab him some water. Unaware of her doings, Jungkook takes off his jacket and loosens his tie.

"I'm so thirsty right now. They didn't even let us have---" He stops short when bottled water appears in front of his face. Looking up, he sees Yuna with a small pout.

"Here," she mumbles. He blinks repeatedly. His face contorts into speechlessness. Mutely, he takes the water and mumbles a thank you.

As he takes a sip, Yuna notices his appearance. The first few buttons of his shirt were undone, giving little exposure to his collarbone. Her heart rises to her throat, she swallows thickly to push it back down. She looks away, her cheeks heating up in seconds.

"How was she?" His question catches her off guard, she could feel herself becoming flustered.

"O-oh, Mihi was great!" She exclaims too loudly. "She's no trouble at all."

Jungkook studies her expression for a long moment. His lips tugging into a frown seeing how red and uncomfortable she is. Guilt began to tremble through him as he knew this wasn't the best idea. He looks away and casts his eyes to the floor.

"Yuna, I think you were right," he murmurs. Raising an uncertain brow, she glances down at him.

"About what?"

"About me," he replies. "I should've told you from the get-go that I have a daughter. I think I understand now why you're upset."

She stares at him speechlessly, she never imagined Jungkook saying something like this. Her body becomes still, her eyes wide.

"I'm well aware of your attractiveness towards me and it was insensitive of me to ask this of you," Jungkook continues.

"Why are you telling me this?" Yuna questions softly. Jungkook shakes his head before jumping to his feet.

"Because I don't--I don't like how you're acting, Yuna," he sighs exasperatedly. "It's too weird. And I know it's because of me but, I don't want the fact that I'm a father to bother you, okay?"

His words took a long while to process in Yuna's head. Her actions bothered him? Since when did he care? He always gave her the cold shoulder so, what changed?

Her heart leaped at the possibilities, her mind freed from her long-lasting fear. Seeing Jungkook concerned given her a sense that maybe he somewhat cares for her. And that was enough for her to smile.

"Oh, looks like someone cares about me," she teases with a wink. Her action brought a wave of relief over Jungkook's shoulders, causing him to scoff at her teasing. Her smile widens at the sight of his smirk, her heart beating rapidly.

"I kind of like this side of you more," she confesses. "You're more relaxed and sweeter than that cold facade you had days ago."

Something bloomed inside Jungkook, his cheeks turning pinkish. He doesn't try to hide it for he was pleased to see Yuna back to her normal self. He flashes her a tender smile knowing their bickering would come to an end.

"Hm, that's because you're not crazy like before."

An exasperated gasp escapes Yuna's lips, followed by short laughter.

"Excuse me? I am not crazy!!"
