"I'm Han Yuna," she introduces.

"You're Mister Jeon, correct?"

Perplexed, Jungkook blinks before clearing his throat. "Yes, but Jungkook is fine." He replies awkwardly.

He stares at the young woman before him, astonished to see her here. He never thought he would be such at a loss for words. His mind races to the hours before this little get-together.

To where Sejun claimed to have a friend who was a babysitter and was coming to the restaurant. Jungkook had no doubt in his mind that Yuna was the person Sejun described. He had no idea why he was so sure of it but there was something about her appearance that seemed to prove his claim.

Her face vibrant with youth, her emerald eyes gleamed with childish wonder that would surely draw in children to admire her.

Yuna frowns in puzzlement when it has been five minutes of silence. Or at least it felt that way. She studies Jungkook's dazed yet perplexed expression. She couldn't understand why he was frowning at her.

"Is something wrong?" She asks with worry lacing her words. Her voice thwarts Jungkook out of his daze and he instantly blinks back to reality.

"Uh, no," he answers while rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "Sorry," he mumbles.

She waves her hand in dismissal and places her crossed arms upon the table. Her green eyes bore into his like yesterday but only this time they were layered with curiosity.

"So, you work in S. Teck?" She questions.

Jungkook glances behind her and sees his fellow coworkers and his boss laughing boisterously with drinks in their hands. He didn't interact with them much tonight yet he fell second-hand embarrassment when a crowd forms around a young man chanting the word chug. He shakes his head and looks back at Yuna.

"Yes," he answers slightly embarrassed. "Today was my first day actually."

Yuna nods before glancing behind her and sees the crowd as well. A soft chuckle escapes her lips allowing Jungkook's eyes to immediately focus on her when she turns back.

"I can see why you rather stay in the corner."

He shrugs before pouring himself another glass of sake. He couldn't remember how much he drank during the past few hours. Judging by the way his mind wandered aimlessly he guesses he had more than his usual.

Yuna watched him with her eyes narrowed as he brought the cup to his lips. Beads of sweat form on the back of his neck with his right foot bouncing anxiously under the table.

Why in the world was she looking at him like that??

Quickly, he gulps down the sake before placing down the glass. "Why are you here?" Jungkook asks a bit anxiously. "You don't work for S. Teck. Right?"

Jungkook knew the reason why she was here but he was desperate to change the subject. Her emerald eyes seemed to dazzle with some sort of energy, it made him slightly avert his stare to the wooden booth behind her. She shrugs casually, her eyes not leaving his face.

"Sejunnie sometimes takes me to these little get-togethers once in a while," she answers smoothly.

Jungkook quirks a brow at the nickname with a ghost of a smile appearing on his rosy lips. It was cute when she said her friend's nickname.

"I was going to bail last minute on her but Sejunnie practically bribed me to come tonight."

Jungkook's tiny smile vanishes with his spine stiffening and his eyes widening slightly. His fists laid upon the table but he clenched them tightly.

"Oh?"

A part of him wishes Sejun only bribed her to come along to keep her company. But that was stretching it considering the fact Sejun told him about Yuna hours earlier.

Jungkook didn't want people to know about his life situation, there was only so much judgment he could take from them.

Yuna doesn't seem to notice the troubled look on Jungkook's face and nods her head. "Yeah, but I forgot what she told me," she admits with a small pout.

Jungkook unclenches his fists with his body slowly easing back to normal. Thank god, she forgot.

"I think it was important though," she continues on with a pointer finger upon her chin as she looks up thoughtfully.

"Did she say I was supposed to meet someone. . . ? Or did I have to keep her company. . . ?" She began to mumble to herself, her words were inaudible to Jungkook.

He was just relieved that she doesn't seem to remember what Sejun said. Or maybe she didn't say anything about his situation to her at all. He lets out a small sigh, he was glad God was on his side today.

Yuna still kept on her mumbling while she tried to remember Sejun's reason for bribing her. She didn't notice the soft sound of phone notification.
Jungkook brings out his phone and opens the new message.

His eyes widen and he shoves the phone back into his pocket. He totally forgot how late it became. He swiftly stands, bringing Yuna out of her thoughts. She eyes him in question.

"What's wrong?" She inquires.

Jungkook looks down at her and gives her an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry but I have to go," he informs. "I didn't realize how late it is."

She eyes him for a minute, he tries to stay still but he bounced on the balls of his feet anxiously. He had no idea why she was inspecting him in such a way but awaits for her response.

However, with each dwindling second, he was starting to get the urge to leave. Abruptly, she turns her head away and looks down at her hands that rested upon the wooden table.

"Okay," she answers simply. Jungkook eyes her for a minute, he couldn't tell if she was upset or not.

Her tanned face was smoothed to a blank, bored expression. Her lips formed into a small frown and her eyes completely focused on her fingertips. But he could care less if she was, he had to hurry home.

"It was a pleasure meeting you, Han." He nods his head to her before walking away. When he grasps the door and pushes it outwards his feet stop moving.

"Wait!"

Jungkook resists the urge to grimace when he hears the soft patter of feet stop just a couple of feet behind him. He turns around and locks eyes with Yuna. He frowns slightly and cocks his head.

"Yes?"

Yuna hesitates for a moment, she didn't know why she told him to wait. Let alone following him to the door.

As she stays silent Jungkook was becoming impatient by the second. She could hear him tap his foot anxiously. Letting out a sigh she flashes him a small smile.

"Yuna," she breathes. "Just call me Yuna."

Jungkook blinks in surprise, wasn't it too soon for him to call her by her first name? They just met!

Although, he did tell her to call him by his first name so that probably set her off to do the same. Even so, it still made him a bit flustered and he clears his throat awkwardly.

"Uh, okay."

Swiftly he turns back to the door and exits the restaurant leaving Yuna to stand alone by the door. Her smile fades with her lips forming into a small frown instead. Her eyes were still locked upon the door and crosses her arms.

Yuna found herself thinking about those few short minutes she had with Jungkook. It was weird and awkward by her terms. Not once has she met a guy who spoke so little and yet showed a thousand expressions upon his face.

By all means he is an awkward guy even if he has good looks. She found him intriguing though. Something that never sparked within her in the past couple months.

It was odd to say the least but that didn't mean Yuna wasn't allowed to act on it.

It was close to eleven when Jungkook finally arrived home. He sped through traffic despite the fact he shouldn't have drove in his condition. He wasn't drunk per-say but he was definitely in no condition to make out his blurry surroundings.

He was lucky he arrived home in one piece, he didn't know what he'll do with himself if he left Mihi all alone. He takes out his apartment key and shoves it into the keyhole unlocking the door.
The lights were off in the apartment and Jungkook didn't bother turning them on.

He stumbles past the tower of boxes scattered everywhere until he sees a low, dim pink light emitting from Mihi's bedroom.

He quietly enters the room and sees Mihi fast asleep on the bed holding her favorite pink bunny close to her chest. A gentle smile forms on his lips, it seems she had no trouble sleeping tonight. And he had a good feeling why that was.

His eyes land upon the pink-haired man who sat on the floor with his arms and head resting on the bed. Jimin was asleep. Quietly as he could Jungkook sits besides his friend and softly nudges his shoulder.

Jimin slowly awakes with his eyes squinted and his lips forming a small pout. When he sees Jungkook beside him the drowsiness disappears.

"Oh, hey, Kook," he greets with a smile.
"Mihi's been asleep for awhile."

Jungkook smiles appreciatively, "You can crash here tonight. I didn't mean to stay out so late."

Jimin waves off his suggestion and shakes his head. "No, it's fine. I got to get back home anyway. Yoongi's probably up wondering where I'm at."

Jungkook nods and looks at his daughter. He strokes her hair ever so carefully to not stir her.

"How was it?" Jimin asks in a whisper.

Shrugging Jungkook sighs tiredly. "Boring to say the least," he admits. "Most of the employees are younger than me. Even my boss is younger."

Jimin snickers, "Did it make you feel old?"

"Yeah, a little," Jungkook chuckles softly. "But who cares, right? It's just a job."

Jimin watches Jungkook with a bit of concern in his eyes. He knew Jungkook must've been stressed throughout the day. He knew he would. Jimin decides to change the subject.

"Did you at least get to know them?"

Yuna suddenly pops into his mind, she was the only girl he talked to. Normally that is. But he shakes off the thought and shrugs.

"Not really," Jungkook answers casually. "Most of the guys didn't talk to me. But the women seemed to take a shine to me though."

Jimin's eyes widen in surprise, "Really?" He breathes. "Were you interested in some of them?"

It didn't take a second for Jungkook to answer that. "Of course not!" He states a tad too loud. Mihi stirs a bit but doesn't wake allowing both men to sigh in relief.

Jungkook sighs, "I didn't go there to mingle with the ladies."

"But, Jungkook it's been too long." Jimin shakes his head suddenly serious. "You should date again."

"As if." Jungkook grumbles with a slight a scowl.

"I just think it be good for you, you know?"

Jungkook was silent for a moment and slowly retracts his hand away from Mihi. A frown appears on his lips and he shakes his head.

Why would dating be good for him? It's just adding more work to his plate. Besides, he wasn't interested, he doesn't need a girl in his life.

"I'm fine, Jimin," he sighs.

Jimin presses his plumps lips together in a firm line. He worried for his friend. He didn't want Jungkook to raise Mihi alone nor does want him to grow old by himself.

"But, Jungkook if--"

"Jimin," Jungkook interjects and lay his eyes on his pink-haired friend. "I don't want to date, okay? End of story."

Jimin frowns with sympathy in his eyes. Jungkook was stubborn, he knew that from the start. Whatever he had his mind set on, nothing could change that. Not even him.

With a heavy sigh Jimin stands up, Jungkook doesn't look his way and stares at Mihi.

"Alright," he mumbles before walking out the room. Jungkook heard the front door close and let's out a sigh.

He couldn't understand why Jimin was suddenly worked up about him getting back to the dating world. Jungkook had no need of it, he was perfectly happy where he was now. Mihi was all he needs in this world.

Adding a woman to the picture seemed out of place and unfamiliar. He places a hand upon Mihi's arm and places his chin on the bed staring at her sleeping face.

"You're all I need, my little bunny," he whispers ever so softly with his eyes becoming droopy.

"It'll just be you and me against the world. Forever and always."
