"O-Ow.."

"S-Shumai?~ Nishishi, are you a-alright?" He was seeming to be serious but really the whole situation was making him laugh.

In return, Shuichi rolled his eyes, putting a hand to his head in order to relieve the pounding headache that was beginning to swell in the centre of his forehead. This whole scenario wasn't particularly funny to him, and he was not in the mood anymore.

Slowly but surely he hauled himself up off the ground, ignoring the question from the other male. His head really did hurt now so he needed to make himself at least look a little decent if he was going to see Kirumi. But honestly, he was simply embarrassed.

"Shuichi~ Come onnnnnnnnn, it wasn't that bad, but just come back to bed, have some fun with me~" Kokichi was almost taunting him now, his voice no less that teasing but with a little slyness to his tone. "Don't get yourself in a rut, I made an effort this time!"

PersonifiedWeirdness is the artist behind these two just.. perfect bits of art. I saw them in my inbox and physically clapped. This is how I saw them in my mind. Thank you so so much for perfecting it.. and not judging me when I blantantly asked you to draw a shirtless Shuichi. Anyways, please follow and comment!

......................................................................................................................................................................

The detective was having none of it. Kokichi had introduced the idea as a sort of celebration for their non-engagement, it was a childish idea but Shuichi accepted straight away, giving into his less than rational side for the first time in a while. Yet the scenario had backfired when he fell off the bed backwards, thwacking his head heavily against the floor.

"Kirumi did warn me that I shouldn't do any vigorous exercise, so I should opt to head over to her now. God forbid if she questions what happened, I'd be truly embarrassed to tell her." He murmured out, reaching out to collect his shirt from the floor and beginning to button it up, fumbling each button due to the embarrassment still dwelling in his head.

Kokichi let out a sweet chuckle, seeing his now.. what was it, fiancé.. wow, that had a nice ring to it.. so flustered that he couldn't even button up a shirt. They had been together for a while now and even though both of them had changed, and toughened up due to the the constant fight they had to endure every day, they both still had maintained some individual little cute quirks. He could note down or list each one of Shuichi's if you asked, but truthfully he found them adorable..

After a few more seconds of just watching him struggle with his shirt, he slipped off the bed and walked over to the detective with a flushed face and knelt down to button up his shirt for him. "You totally need me!~ W-Whatya do without me?"

"I think I w-would.. b-be.. just.. lost.." he shyed away at the action at first but warmed up to it quickly afterwards. Really, then, the fact that they were in a relationship really hit him. Being in a couple is meant to make you feel loved and supported, and you're meant to be a better person because of them.. and this small action proved him that everything was true.

"Tch. Shumai stop with that nicety! I'm a supreme leader, the ultimate supreme leader might I remind you?!" He obviously was a little out of depth at the bluntness of Shuichi's compliment, but was concentrating too much on the final button which he couldn't get right.

Shuichi slowly put his own hands on top of his boyfriend's, holding them as if to say that he didn't need to get that last button done all along with a gentle smile.

"I could've got it!~" The liar slumped his hands down onto his knees and pouted directly at Shuichi, a little too like a child would have. The detective let out a small laugh before getting to his feet and fetching his jacket from another pile that had accumulated in yet another side of the room.

"I'll be back right before you know it. I should speak again with Keebo now I think of it.." He was muttering to himself as he walked towards the door, but was stopped at the sound of Kokichi's voice. "Get me some food, mkay? Nishishi.."

He nodded in reply, the slipped out of the door and headed towards the kitchen.

The atmosphere just around the corridors was chilling and tense, and he swore that the academy itself was most definitely colder than before.. which was odd. Nethertheless he walked calmly towards the kitchen, and slowly opened the door.

He put one foot in-front of the other slowly, noticing that the lights were turned off. Again, weird.

"Shuichi?!" A figure moved in front of him, their voice picking up as if they had just been jump-scared. With a flourish of a wrist, the lights were back on, the bright beam of yellow blinding the detective for a split second.

"Sorry, I should have announced myself.. what are you doing here standing in the dark?" Shuichi remained close to the doorway, just in case something happened. Sure it looked like Kirumi was standing there, but Tsumugi could be cosplaying as her.

"I was simply admiring these knives.. have you noticed that there is one missing? It's unsettling if I do say so myself.. if one of the students has a weapon, then that could mean content to kill, don't you think?" She spoke so calming and so properly, but as much as she was like Kirumi, Shuichi couldn't determine it just yet.

"Kirumi.. tell me and please don't ask for a reason, tell me why you don't like magic shows." This was a question that she had answered a while back so Shuichi knew the reason, so it seemed like an appropriate test. "It is an odd request, however I shall tell you. I do not like magic shows as I feel that something might not go as planned. Is that answer satisfactory?"

The detective nodded and let out a shaky breath. "P-Phew.. Kirumi thank you." He swiftly moved himself on to what the maid had just said however, "There.. there's a knife missing..?" Sure enough, as he walked closer towards it, one of the knives was gone from the shelf. He leaned in and inspected further, spying a streak of long dark hair on the surface. The colour was unrecognisable, but the most likely suspect was Tsumugi.

If.. if she was armed with a weapon..

"Kirumi, could you locate Keebo for me.. I really need to talk to him." He suggested, a little too rushed and worried. His eyes were darting all over the pace and he was visibly shaking now, rocking backwards and forwards in an uneven fashion.

"I shall get on with it now." She passed a look up and down the detective, but brushed it off with a small smile and waltzing out of the doorway to hunt to Keebo.

Shuichi didn't stall another second as he took a smaller blade from the shelf and slotted it within his jacket pocket, content that it just fitted inside. Now, if worst came to worst, he could fight on a level playing field.

His footsteps took him out of the kitchen as they quickened in pace, his movements looking unnatural as he half limped back towards his dorm.

Suddenly, a sound caught his attention, as if it was a blade becoming unsheathed from a holster. He darted his eyes back. He saw her.

Run.

He sprinted at full pace, using all his strength to haul and fling his body forward, flailing his arms from side to side as he maintained his speed. Tsumugi was close behind him, also sprinting.. although her skirt was tripping her up slightly and restricting her movements. Her face was hardened and her smile was wide and overbearing.. however, the blade in her hand held no remorse or restraint and it was set for his body; it was clear that his chest was her target.

"G-G.. GIVE UP ALREADY! TIMES UP!"

He kept on running and saw his opportunity to assess his options. She had the advantage on speed, he had tactics. Think.. think... damnit brain think!

Blade.

He patted himself desperately down then dug his hand into his pockets, pricking his fingers on the blade as he methodically fumbled with it.

Grab.

He took ahold of the handle and shot it in her direction with a pleading throw, not halting whatsoever as he heard metal meet with bone within one tremendous cacophony of monstrous shrieks and shriels.

That was her warning shot.

As he met with the sight of his dorm room in the distance, he glanced back for a few milliseconds to spy the silhouette of the blue haired cosplayer yank the blade out of her own shoulder joint, aching with pain as she used her own arm as a buffer to cancel put her screams of agony.

Shuichi slammed open his room and his eyes met with the ones of his boyfriend. Who was just there.. sitting on the bed expectantly as if everything was normal.."You took your time~ And after all of that wait, you didn't even bring me back any food. Typical~"

"It must've.. slipped.. my mind.." He near to collapsed near to the door, bolting and locking it in every way possible. His panicked breath took ahold as he exhaled shallow breaths, choking on his apology, "I-I'm sorry.. K-Kokichi.. It just s-lipped my mind.. just.. slipped my mind.. I-I'm s-sorry.. so.. s-sorry! I.."
