Shuichi immediately reached out to grab Kokichi but the smaller boy was already out of his reach. Kokichi reversed backwards as quickly as he could towards the door. He felt his back against the door then turned around to reach for the handle. Kokichi fumbled with the handle, his hands shaking with pure fear. When he finally got grip on the handle, he attempted to push the door open it but it didn't budge. It was locked.
Even though he knew the door was locked, he couldn't give up. He needed to get out of that room. He needed to escape from Shuichi. He needed to escape from the boy that he had fallen in love with.
Shuichi had no idea what to do. He was petrified and panicking. Kokichi had read the note which he had written including the details of the murders that occurred in the last game and how they had occurred. The murderers and their victims.. everything that had happened.
How could he of been so stupid?!
"..Kokichi.. wait..no!" Shuichi pleaded, his voice shaky.
Kokichi turned his back to Shuichi and suddenly started to bang on the door, shouting as loud as he could "HELP!" "SOMEONE!"
Shuichi started to have a panic attack. His breathing became erratic and he started to grab at his chest his head was beating faster than ever before, it felt like it was on fire. He clawed at his chest and he started to take deep, raspy breaths, the more he panicked, the harder he found it to breathe.
This hand-drawn artwork (I put both images together) was done by amazingly talented Despatched I really like the little, small details on Kokichi like his eyes the material on his legs. So please go follow, comment, and just admire. XD I really love it!

He started to stagger towards Kokichi, the walls starting to close in on him. His breathing started to become even more rapid and he struggled to breathe. "S-Stop..please!"
Kokichi instantly turned around at the sound of Shuichi's weak and somewhat desperate voice. He saw his opportunity and ran up to Shuichi, punching him as hard as he could across the face, making Shuichi stumble backwards. Kokichi saw his chance and pushed him onto the ground, pressing his foot down as hard as he could onto his chest.
Shuichi looked up at Kokichi and, for the first time this killing game, Kokichi looked ready to kill him. His expression was the definition of pure malice, his eyes had changed from a beautiful light purple to a glaring violet. The expression that he had seen too many times before, "Y-YOU'RE THE MASTERMIND! AREN'T YOU?!" Every part of Kokichi's voice was enveloped by anger.
Shuichi couldn't manage to speak. Kokichi's foot was burying down into his chest, making him shout in pure agony.
Kokichi's expression became even more aggressive as he pressed down harder, "ANSWER ME!"
the artist has asked for their name to be revoked so i respec.

Shuichi grabbed at Kokichi's leg which was now a few centimetres into his chest, trying to force it up from his chest. Shuichi could feel the pressure on his rib cage.. if Kokichi put any more pressure on his chest, his rib bones would most likely break. Kokichi's angry expression temporarily flickered to a scared one, it hurt him so much to see that the person he loved more than anything in pain and.. it hurt him even more to know that he was the one doing it. Kokichi closed his eyes and continued to press his foot down onto his chest. He couldn't let his emotions get in the way. If he killed the mastermind then the game would end. Kokichi looked down to see the colour starting to drain from Shuichi's already pale face. He had no other choice..
Shuichi started to desperately choke for breath. A few more seconds and he was going to die.
Something inside of Kokichi couldn't bear to see Shuichi in agony and he knew that it was his heart. He pressed his foot down harder still, making the Detective start to loose consciousness.
Kokichi's resolve broke, he couldn't do it. In one sudden move, he lifted his foot up of Shuichi's chest and the taller boy instantly shot upwards, grabbing his chest, almost gagging in an attempt to get back his breath.
Kokichi stepped away from him, "I should of let you die, mastermind."
"I.. I'm not the m-astermind" Shuichi got himself slowly up from the floor.
Kokichi started pacing around his room, gently chuckling to himself. "Don't lie. That's my thing. I should of let you die! Even I know that!"
Shuichi reached out to him, "Kokichi.. you don't understand.. but.. I don't know if I can explain.."
Kokichi turned to him, viscously batting his hand away. "Explain Mr Mastermind. Try and talk your way out of this one."
"Kokichi.." Shuichi took a deep breath, "This is going to sound like a lie but I'm going to tell you the truth.."
Kokichi glared at him and chuckled his disgust, crossing his arms. "I'm a liar Shui— Mastermind. I can tell a lie from a truth. Buuuutttt, I'm sure you're a good liar right?! You were even able to deceive me after all. You deceived everyone! Well done! Give yourself a pat on the back!"
Shuichi started to get frustrated. Kokichi wasn't listening to him. "Kokichi! Listen! I-"
"SPIT IT OUT!" Kokichi suddenly raised his voice before continuing in a more childish and jokey tone, "I never thought you would be one to be tongue-tied Mr Mastermind." Kokichi smirked, raising his hand up to his lips.
"I.. I.." Shuichi stammered. He didn't know why he was so nervous. Shuichi clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms, and forced himself to tell Kokichi everything. "I.. I'm from the future.. I've done this game once already.. I've.. seen everyone die.. I know all the murders and who dies and the mastermind and the executions and the trials.." Shuichi's voice cut off, he found himself unable to continue as he was starting to tear up thinking back to every tragedy that had happened in the first game. Shuichi wasn't going to give up. He had to force himself to continue. He had to do this. "I..I.. came back to stop the murders.. ..and that list you found.. is what happened last time.."
The room was silent for a few seconds before Kokichi burst out laughing. "You think I'm that stupid?! I wouldn't believe anything as stupid as that! You have to get better at lying Shuichi! I actually thought you'd be good at it!"
Shuichi took a shaky breath, un-clenched his fists, and wiped the tears from his eyes.
Kokichi looked at him and his smirk faltered. For some reason, it didn't look like Shuichi was lying but there was no way that he was telling the truth. "Your obviously lying buuuut, can you prove it? Time travel does sounds pretty interesting!"
Shuichi had a lifeline. He never even thought that Kokichi could give him a chance to explain. He had no way of proving that he was telling the tru— Wait. Monomi. That was one thing that Kokichi couldn't explain.. there was no other way of explaining it. He'd have to believe him.
He instantly searched around the room, looking desperately for the small rabbit.
When he couldn't find her, he called out her name. "Monomi?" "MONOMI?!" Shuichi started running laps around the room, making sure that Kokichi wasn't making a run or it, searching everywhere. Shuichi took his attention off the smaller boy, trusting him not to run.
Kokichi shot a look at Shuichi, "He's going insane.. now he's talking to himself.." Kokichi whispered to himself. Kokichi saw his chance. He saw Shuichi's door key on his desk and sprinted towards it, then towards the door. He fumbled with the keys in the lock, unable to open the door.
Monomi suddenly appeared and Shuichi ran over to her. "Monomi! This is important!"
"What is it Shuichi?! Is something wrong?" Monomi asked innocently, looking around the room. She finally saw Kokichi, "Ooo, who's that?"
"Monomi!" Shuichi shouted, grabbing her full attention, "Can you make him hear you? It's really important! Please!"
Kokichi temporarily turned around, surprised by Shuichi's shout but quickly returned to trying to open the door. Monomi smiled then nodded. Shuichi was panicking. If it hadn't worked, he was screwed.
Suddenly, Kokichi heard the door click open. He quickly put his hand on the door handle to open it but just as he lent down on the handle, a happy, innocent voice interrupted him. "Hello? I don't believe that we've met! I'm Monomi, who are you?!" She let out a cheerful giggle, "Can you hear me? Hmm?"
Kokichi instantly turned around at the sound of the child-like, cheerful voice. He started panicking and his eyes widened when he couldn't see anything or anyone standing there. Kokichi instantly jerked forwards away from the door towards Shuichi as he felt something touching the bottom of his left leg. He stared at Shuichi, his entire body shaking with fear, "S-Shuichi.. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!"
"I-I've already told you.. everything I said.. It wasn't a lie.." Shuichi felt his heart start to ache. The navy haired detective looked down at Kokichi and he saw his purely terrified face. He hated himself for making Kokichi scared, he couldn't believe that he had done that to him but.. there was no other way, was there?
Shuichi took a deep breath and started to move away from Kokichi. After he was sure that Kokichi wouldn't run away this time, he kneeled down onto the floor, back towards Monomi, "Monomi, make him see you.. please."
Kokichi turned around to stare at him, more than slightly weirded out that Shuichi was talking to himself again.
She tilted her head to the side, "Hmm? Are you sure Shuichi?"
Kokichi jumped at the high pitched voice, looking around the room. He focused on Shuichi who was kneeling down, like he was having a conversation with someone or something.
Shuichi saw Monomi nod then he stood up and started to make his way closer to Kokichi. "Uhh.. listen to me.. don't freak out okay.."
Kokichi back away nervously but Shuichi grabbed his hand without thinking. Kokichi instantly froze. Shuichi could feel Kokichi's pulse rate instantly increase, he didn't know whether that was because Kokichi was scared or whether it was because he had grabbed his hand. Shuichi quickly shook off those thoughts, he couldn't be thinking about that right now. Everything rested on this moment.
Shuichi abruptly let go of Kokichi's and pointed towards Monomi. "C-Can you see—"
Kokichi jumped backwards, being caught by Shuichi, "AaHH!" After the smaller boy got to his feet, he walked past Shuichi, towards the small, pink rabbit. "Wha— what the hell are you? Some type of pink rat or something?"
"I'm Monomi!"
"So I've heard.." Kokichi continued to walk over to her. He knelt down and inspected her closer. "Sooo, all this time when I thought Shuichi was talking to himself, he was really talking to you?! Ohh! That's so cool!"
Shuichi was extremely relieved, he never expected Kokichi to react this way. He seriously expected him to kill him. He thought he was going to die..
Monomi smiled and nodded, "Mm hmm! I brought him back to the game!"
Kokichi stood back up to face Shuichi and smirked, "So, you weren't lying about that.. he's really from the future?!"
Shuichi shifted anxiously as Kokichi walked closer to him, "Nishishi! Things are finally getting interesting.." Shuichi started to walk backwards.
Kokichi slowly continued to walk closer to him with a smirk on his face, "It's my turn to interrogate you now Detective.."
