As she gazed at the quote unquote, 'Happy couple' her stomach twisted with a strong stench of hatred and disgust as if her organs were being stirred with sharpened knife, twisling her intestines around and around while her face remained perfectly neutral. She didn't feel the necessity to smile at them as no one was paying attention to what she was doing, little miss plain, so elegantly and silently seated in the corner of the dining hall.

Her glimmering blue eyes refocused away from her other thoughts to catch a glimpse of the detective smirking at her like he was determined to win. Ha.. very likely, she was too close to laughing, moving a hand up to her mouth to cover it up with a fake cough. He'd given her that smirk before so many times and what had she done? Beaten him relentlessly at every turn. Being one step ahead of the game was her forte, which made it even more excruciatingly painful for her credibility when the detective seemed to change the game around, forcing her into a new strategy which wouldn't create the same outcome.

Oh, they're moving, her eyes followed their movements exactly but she didn't give chase as Shuichi and Kokichi left the room holding hands, whispering and talking among themselves as if it was something secretive or personal, as that would cause too much suspicion from the other students. As much as she tried, she couldn't distinguish their conversation... and that created yet another inconvenience.

To her, Shuichi was an infestation. A cockroach and a pest.

Over time she had almost become obsessed with the movements of the most unlikely pairing, monitoring every single one of their distinct movements like an eagle stalking its prey awaiting the perfect opportunity to strike her lethal poison. One successful strike was all it took to win so she just had to plan out one single slip up to perfection and then she would win and feel the battle victory rushing through her veins. So far she had written down a brief personality match for most of the opportunities or twists either Shuichi or Kokichi could face, so she could cross reference situations and predict their movements. That way it would be much easier and rapid to finally put an end to their disturbance in her end game.

"Oh, Maki, there's a little situation that I want to talk to you about, it's not serious, just if you have time?" Tsumugi began, a nervous expression playing across her doll-like porcelain face. If all was going to go to plan, she needed to uphold an almost hidden persona, keeping her away from any spotlight.

kks101 Ohh, Maki has so much sass.. anyway, I just love this, don't you? This art is in their artwork so you should most definitely check that out to see their other drawings if you love this as much as I have! Go follow them and comment and stuff.

The assassin shot her a hard glance and grimaced apathetically, "I don't." Giving her a short answer and exiting the room with long strides, and an unemotional look onto her own face.

Ugh. Tsumugi grimaced. When Maki's character was developed, her original design was one modelled vaguely between Peko Pekoyama from a previous Danganronpa game and Kyoko Kirigiri along with an original backstory induced obviously to keep the audience interested. The premise of having an emotionally distant character capable of vicious murder attempts was a decent idea, yet when it was put into practice, the results were boring and anticlimactic, not good enough to impress the outside audience.

She needed time to assess her options away from all of her inferiors, they were nothing more than puny earthworms to her, wriggling and desperately scrambling around to aid escape: their relentlessness efforts to escape and belief in each other sickened her to her core, so much so that it almost forced poisoned laughter out of her mouth.

Why couldn't they just let the despair set in, it would be much more beautiful that way around; with despair you can see the world for what it is and reproduce it over and over again until you have a glistening, perfect reproduction.

They were simply characters created and designed by her from the very edges of their personality and souls to the final seams of their intricate costumes which she stitched with her own by hand, staying up for endless days and nights to prove that she was a worthy mastermind for the 53rd Killing Game. She remembered the day that they all came to audition. Tenko, so energetic but desperate... Kokichi, so shy and timid, 'I w-want to join. because I w-want to prove t-them wrong..' ,however without that signature single stench or indication of arrogance that he now wore like a badge of honour along with that elegant smirk.

Korekiyo was optimistic, but the dark side within him was prominent, even then.

Plus, who could forget her Shuichi? As soon as the auditions began, he was the very first through the doors, staggering into the room and clutching onto his palpitating heart as if his chest was about to rip open, his drooling mouth spitting out blackened words, "P-Please I-I want to f-feel despair! P-Please! P-please! I'll do anything... and I m-mean anything." His eyes used to sparkle with the stench of despair and his voice was perfectly desperate and pleading, as if he would do anything for the sake of Team Danganronpa.

Tsumugi's dreamlike flashback came to an end abruptly as she made contact with the cold metal of the girl's bathroom. Once she was in, she carefully navigated around, making sure that no one was in the bathroom already.

Then, she entered her hidden mastermind base. Blues and greens and reds from the monitors illuminated her iris', tinting them with a hollow, vibrant glow. Life for her game was at risk and dangerously so, she simply needed to steady her emotions and construct a plan to bring the game back upon the correct lines and by that, Shuichi needed to be silenced or restrained. She needed to brake him.. Although with Kokichi, that was seeming impossible.. yet whenever she tried to kill Kokichi, Shuichi got in the way. They were truly unstoppable.. a scowl formed on her face as he grabbed onto a handful of notes and began to craft a final plan.

Thats_Crushing did this! The drawing is in their art book. Ah I just love the way that Tsumugi's eyes glow, it just looks extremely cool, you know? Her malice is shown perfectly here, and I just love it! So please go follow them and comment and stuff!

But as soon as her pen touched the page, a thought struck through her skull.

"Shuichi.. no he couldn't have predicted that.. stop getting in my way you fucking depressive!" She slammed her fists down on the desk, leaning over it, just panting with the realisation. "There's no.." her eyes came into contact with the monitor as her eyes scanned and searched for what her mind had just processed.

She saw it. "He's.. he's a genius.."

Shuichi was alone, speaking with Kiibo. It may of seemed like a normal affair to any other student, but she knew better, Kiibo was the transmitter to the outside world, and his 'inner voice' was the most important detail of his character. If Kiibo calmed down.. then his inner voice, the audience.. her audience would be accepting of Shuichi's and Kokichi's relationship, rooting for them even!

No. Surely not.. Tsumugi shook her head, breaking off from her thoughts.

Before, she had made sure to implant as many backup plans as she was able to, and surely they would safe her from being discovered. Being a mastermind involved more than she first expected, yet that wasn't a disappointment; she needed stimulation and discord, without that, she felt that life was pointless. Danganronpa had saved her from her boredom and team Danganronpa was now her fortress.

Firstly killing of Rantaro, ugh, she got blood all across her outfit as she slashed the back of his head in with that shot put ball.. and her outfit got completely soaked as she had to hold Himiko down in the water, boy she put up a fight.

Despite this, she loved every minute, no matter how physical it had to get..

Her hands grabbed onto her own long blue curls, her teeth gritting together, crunching up her nose with annoyance. Time to create a master plan.. it seemed to be whenever she tried to create a large plan, Shuichi always solved it before it worked.

The only way forward was to surprise him with hand to hand combat, beating him until he limply fell down.

But just in case, she'd take the sharpest knife from the kitchen. The next time she saw him, she'd end his interference.

No more plans. Just him and her. One last time.
