(The next day, Nandini made a call to Manik's office. But Cabir took the phone. On hearing the voice of a girl, he starts his flirting)

Cabir : "Madam! Did you take honey a lot since your childhood? Your voice is very sweet. That is why I asked"

(Nandini didn't responded)

Cabir : "Can you see my face through phone? You stopped talking suddenly. So i asked"

Nandini rolled her eyes : "Will you please give the phone to Mr. Manik?"

Cabir : "Mr.Manik? Yes, he is here"

" Sir! Some lady is asking for you" (Saying this he hands over the receiver to Manik)

Manik : "Hello!"

Nandini : "This is Nandini speaking. Did I disturb you?"

Manik : "No, What is it?"

Nandini : "I got a phone from the police station that they found my bag. They asked me to come there to take it. I don't want to go there alone..... If you don't mind, will you come with me?"

Manik : "Yeah, sure"

(Scene changes to police station)

Inspector : "Check your personal belongings, please! Count the amount. Is it okay?"

(Nandini checked her bag and found everything there)

Manik : "Is everything present?" (Nandini nodded)

(While coming out of the police station, Inspector comes in between Manik and Nandini)

Inspector : "I know three south indian women. Hemamalini married Dharmendra. Sridevi married Boney Kapoor. And you nandini marries who?" (He asks her flirtingly)

(Nandini just rolled her eyes and went away. Manik got irritated with his flirting)

Manik in Telugu : "Just like water flows from pipe, your saliva flows from your mouth. Wipe it!"

(He says to Inspector all this smilingly knowing he might not known Telugu)

Unknowing to his taunt, the inspector : "Okay, thank you ! thank you!"

(Manik runs behind Nandini)

Manik : "Hello ! Hello ! We still have half day leave. Should we go to our offices cancelling the leave? Should I call for two autos?"

(Nandini just listened to him)

Manik : "If you have confidence, come to my home. My mom and dad will be happy. They will be happy to see someone speaking Telugu"

(Nandini didn't say anything but straightaway goes to a fruit vendor)

Nandini : "How much"

Vendor : "Sixty rupees dozen"

(Manik comes to her)

Manik : "Hello! Do you want me to stay or go? I have invited you to my home. You are buying fruits without answering me. If I know your answer........."

Nandini smiled : "My mother used to say that we shouldn't go to someone's home empty handed. That is why I am buying these fruits"

Manik pinched himself : "Ah!"

Nandini : "What happened?"

Manik : "You accepted my invitation. I pinched to check whether this is dream or reality. It is real!"

(Nandini laughed)

(Manik hires an auto and both Nandini and Manik went in the same auto to his home)

(Scene change, In front of Manik's flat)

Manik : "Lift in our flats works once in a year"

Nandini : "What did that auto driver tell you by pointing me? What was he saying?"

Manik : "Nothing"

Nandini : "No, he was talking about me"

Manik : "You will get angry If I tell you"

Nandini was adamant : "It's alright. Tell me"

Manik : "No, leave it."

Nandini : "I don't mind. Please tell me"

Manik : "You didn't come in the auto on the day of train strike. He asked why you won't come and I said in anger that it is a tradition of pious women. We came together now. So he said that we became friends"

Nandini : "Will you meet that auto driver once again?"

Manik : "Why do you ask?"

Nandini : "If you meet again, tell him this. Tell him that though I came with you I still follow the tradition of pious women"

(Manik sighed in relief that she didn't became angry )

Manik : "That's true. Today also you sat on the other edge of the auto. I was scared that you might fall on the road"

(Saying this Manik laughed and they both went to Manik's flat)

(Scene change -Manik's flat. Nandini is sitting in sofa. Raj and Nyonika are sitting opposite her. Manik went to kitchen)

(Raj, Nyonika and Nandini's converstations were actually in Telugu - Assume)

Raj : "What is your name?"

Nandini : "Nandini"

Raj : "It is very sweet name"

Nyonika : "My dear! Isn't it the name of Goddess?"

Raj : "No, you always misunderstand everything. Nandini is the name of the daughter who brings joy to family. My wife always misunderstand things"

"She gives tea when I ask for coffee and coffee if I ask for tea. After we got married, she used to ask me if there are Muslim and Christian papers just like Hindu paper"

(Nandini smiled while Nyonika looks at her husband lovingly inspite of his teasings)

Manik : "Water?"

(Nandini takes the glass from him) : "Thanks!"

Manik : "My parents are like comedians. Only that they don't fight with each other"

(Manik again went to kitchen)

Raj : "Are you working in the same office as my son?"

Nandini : "No, sir! I am working in Indian bank"

Nyonika : "How did you meet him?"

(Manik shouts from kitchen) : Mom! I have an account in that bank"

Raj : "I see"

(Suddenly, a small bird fly inside flat and made dirty of Nandini's saree since the windows are open)

Nandini : "This is............"

Raj : "Oh, no! Bathroom is on that side. Go and wash it. Water will be light yellow in color. Don't be afraid"

(Nandini nodded and went to clean it)

Nyonika : "She said that she is working in some bank. Why did our son bring her home?"

(Nyonika asks Raj eagerly)

Raj : "Hey, Can't you keep quiet for a while? He will scold you if he hears"

Nyonika : "Hmmm, She too seems to have strong will"

Raj : "Listen! Marriage is not in our hands. It is in the hands of the one above"

Nyonika : "That is true" (Saying this she made a silent prayer"

(The door bell rings and Raj went to see. A boy gave mess food to Raj. Raj closes the door. By this time, Nandini came after cleaning her saree but she forgot her watch which she placed on the wash basin while cleaning"

Raj : "Have lunch with us"

Nandini : "No, it's okay sir"

Raj : "Are you hesitating because it is hotel food? (Nandini shook her head in No)

He continued "What can we do? My wife suffers with arthritis. Manik warned us that he won't tolerate if I let his mother cook.That is why food is being ordered"

(Saying this both Raj and Nandini sat on sofa)

Raj : "Food is alright but papad... You must have seen a papad that breaks.... Can it be torn? I will show you. Curd will spread its smell from Mumbai to Pune"

(Nandini smiled)

Raj : "Why I speak about all this..... He does not want his mother to work hard. He loves his mother a lot. That is why we don't mind such things. Doesn't it look silly?"

Nyonika : "No need for hotel food" (Saying this she gets up from her place and sat beside Nandini)

She continued "If he gets married, everything will be alright. But he doesn't want to. Please convince him to get married"

(Nandini didn't say anything)

(By this time Manik came with coffee tray)

Nyonika : "I would have prepared the coffee"

Manik : "Mom, Why do you struggle when I am there"

(Manik served Nandini coffee. Nandini was about to take a cup. Manik nodded in No)

Manik : "No, this is for my mom, sugarless" (Nandini took another cup.Manik served Nyonika and comes to his Dad"

Raj whispered to Manik : "You were missing for a long time. Did you go for smoke?"

Manik whinned "Dad!"

(Nandini smiled at Father - son antics)

(Soon, Nandini bade bye to Manik's parents and now they are in front of Manik's flat"

Nandini : "Why do you take trouble?'

Manik : "It's alright. We took an auto while coming. I have to go to station to get my bike. Come on, let us go."

(Saying this both Nandini and Manik started to walk together)

Nandini : "Where did your father work?"

Manik : "He is retired"

Nandini : "I asked where did he work? Past tense!"

Manik : "Oh, worked in railways for 30 years. In Vizag, I finished my studies in Andhra University"

Nandini : "Nice family and you have a good job. I think your income is also good. Why didn't you marry yet?"

(Hearing what Nandini said, Manik stopped in his track"

Nandini : "Sorry! Did I say anything wrong? I didn't ask that on purpose. Before leaving your mom was worried about your marriage. That is why I asked that question" (Manik didn't reply)

She said "Bye"

Manik : "Just a moment. What did you ask me?"

Nandini : "Why didn't you marry till now?"

(Manik drifted to his past )
