(The next day, Raj and Nyonika arrives to Manik's flat. Both take a look of the flat)

Nyonika : "Water is sweet, okay for drinking. Kitchen is big too"

(Manik is getting ready in his room)

Manik : "You are not the one who will cook anyway"

Nyonika : "Why is that?"

Manik : "If you are in the kitchen for two days, you will fall sick for the next two days. What is the need for all that?"

Raj: "You have arthritis problem. He is talking about it. First,we should find whether your medicine is available here or not?"

Nyonika : "You are asking me not to cook. Then how are we going to eat food then?"

Manik : "I have arranged for food. There is a mess nearby."

Raj : "Mess? This is Mumbai. My jaws will pain if I eat chapati. Can't we get rice?"

Manik : "Don't worry. Mess belongs to our state people."

(Raj sighed in relief)

Manik : "Give this address to the people you want to give. I already gave to Abhimanyu."

(Abhimanyu's character will be later discussed in the chapter)

Raj : "Give me the address. I will note down."

Manik : "Here it is" (Manik gives the address to Raj)

"Bye. See you, mom. I will be back soon in the evening."

(Manik is going to the door. Here Nyonika stretches her one leg on the teapoy)

Raj: "Very good! Your leg and your wish. Do whatever you like."

Nyonika : "My leg is paining because of train journey. That is why I kept it like this."

Raj : "If anyone see you, they think that you are about to kick me."

(Nyonika was about to keep her legs down when raj objected.)

Raj: "I just made fun. Keep your both the legs up. I don't mind."

Nyonika : "I knew it!"

(Manik grabed the spare keys of the home was about to leave the home)

Manik : "Don't open the door without asking if anyone rings the bell. Dad! Don't leave mom alone and go."

Raj: "Hey, you go to the office. I am looking after her for 45 years. Don't I know that?"

Manik : "Bread is in the fridge. And the food carriage will come at 12 o' clock."

(Manik leaves for the office. He has a bike. He will leave it in the bike parking and board the local train to reach his office.)

(And, on the other side, Nandini, dressed up in a saree with an umbrella in her hand and hand bag over her another shoulder leaves from her home for her workplace. She walks till the station as she is nearby and also board the local train to reach her workplace.)

(They didn't meet this time. At night, Manik serves the mess food for his parents and also sat for dinner. After he finishes he leaves.)

(Nyonika was worried)

Nyonika : " If he gets married, we won't need to get food from the hotel and somebody will be there to take care of him."

Raj: "We asked him may times. We cannot force him."

(Here in balcony, Manik is smoking. Smoking becomes a habit for him after Alya's demise. The night passed away.)
