(Next day, Manik called at Nandini's Bank)

Manik : "Could I speak to Nandini please?"

(The staff covered the mouth of the receiver with her hand and signed Nandini that someone is calling. Nandini signed as to who is calling?"

Staff : "Who is calling?"

Manik : "This is Manik"

(The staff says inaudibly that the call is from Manik. Nandini paused for a moment and signed her to say she is not here)

Staff : "Sorry, she is on leave today" (Saying this she cut the call)

(Manik on the other hand took the cricket bat which is placed by him on the table. Manik thought to give Arav the Bat through Nandini by meeting her. But she is on leave. So he thought of going to her home)

(Manik goes to Nandini's home but found that the door is locked. So he went to the neighbour home. He saw Neha (Harshad's wife putting Rangoli on her door step)

Manik : "Hello! Is no one present at home?"

Neha : "They were here short while ago"

Manik : "Can you please give this Cricket Bat to them?"

(Neha nodded. Manik gave the bat to her and was about to go)

Neha : "What is your name?"

Manik : "Manik ............Manik Malhotra. Thank you"

(Manik is worried. He thought of he himself giving the bat to Arav. But neither Nandini went to office, nor they were present at home. Manik went to his flat)

(Scene changes to Manik's flat)

Manik is taking bath. The phone rings. Manik thought it to be of Nandini's phone. So he switched off the shower and wrapped the towel around his waist and rushed to Hall room to find his Dad speaking over phone)

Raj : "Wrong number" (Saying this he cut the call)

(Raj turned to Manik who came from bath in a hurried manner )

Raj : "Why you came running?"

Manik : "The phone...."

Raj : "So what?"

Manik : "I called up Nandini's bank. She was not there and was not at home also. I gave a message that she should call me. I thought that she might have called"

Raj : "Call her now"

Manik : "No. Don't...... When she will be free, she will call back"

(Saying this Manik was about to go)

Raj : "Will you just continue your shower or just wipe yourself?" (Manik being embarassed went to his room)

(Raj signed Nyonika and she also nods her head understandingly and they both bursted into laughter. Why can't they? Manik who started smiling since 1 year after Alya's demise, now lost his control on himself and came running from bathroom just for a call!)

(After 1 week)

During this one week, Nandini ignored Manik at her best. Manik is clueless. Ofcourse he is also offended by the waiter's remarks. But...... he thought why she is ignoring him? She is not even letting Arav to see him or talk to him.

(Nandini's home)

(The door bell rings. Nandini opens the door and shocked to find Manik's dad - Raj )

(Nandini and Raj sat on the sofa)

Raj : "Please marry Manik" (Nandini's eyes widened)

He continued : "It will be surprising if I say this suddenly. If you marry him, your struggle in taking care of Arav and Manik's struggle in taking care of us will be solved. It will solve both issues. And Me and My wife, Manik , You and Arav ............. We all will be one family. It will be great"

(Nandini had an expressionless face)

Raj : "You both are destined to come together. Why else would your husband and his wife die in the same accident? Why did you both have to meet in Mumbai? It is god who enacts all this. I know that he also wants to marry you"

He paused and then : "You need not reply now. Think it over with a calm mind"

(Nandini shook her head in No)

Nandini : "I don't have the desire to marry again"

(Raj was about to say further, but Nandini showed her hand to stop him. Her eyes were filled with tears)

(They walk towards the main door)

Nandini wiped her tears : "Shall I call the auto?"

Raj : "If I spoke anything that hurts you, please forgive me!"

Nandini : "No, only you should forgive me"

Raj : "Don't keep anything in your heart dear...... I will take your leave"

(Saying this he dejectedly left her home)

(Scene changes to Manik's flat)

(At Night, Manik is sitting in Terrace with his head hung down. Raj goes and keeps his hand on his shoulder)

(Yes. Manik is upset because of Nandini's rejection)

(In the process of finding reasons for Nandini's ignorance these days, he discovered that he started to feel for Nandini and wishes to marry Nandini. Moreover he liked Arav very much)

Raj : "I'm sorry Manik . It all got spoilt because of me. If you asked her she might have consented. I acted in haste"

(Saying this Raj started to cry. Manik immediately stands and hugs his father)

Manik : "Once she has decided not to marry again, it doesn't matter who speaks to her. If I asked and if she hesitates ..........." (Manik closed his eyes tightly)

He continued : "You avoided all that. Don't feel sad Dad"

(Manik wiped Raj's tears because he is crying badly thinking that he acted in haste)

Manik : "Dad......... Let's Go..."

(Manik made Raj lie down on his bed and went to his room and dozed off)

(The next day, at Railway station, Manik and Nandini came face to face. But Nandini walk pasts him)

Manik : "Just a minute" (Nandini turned)

He continued : "I think now you even don't like to see my face. I called you to say that I understood this. I won't come to you or talk to you again. Don't worry!"

(Saying this both Manik and Nandini parted ways)
