One fine day, Manik along with his parents went to Temple. After the pooja, they came and sat on temple steps

Raj : "Manik, We will go that hotel which serves traditional food"

Manik : "Why are you so scared of mess food?"

Raj : "What else can we do? The hotel food won't come to our home for some more days"

Manik : "Why?"

Raj : "The boy who brings the food suffered an accident"

Manik : "What happened to him?" (Manik asks worriedly)

Raj : "Nothing happened to him. He was bringing the carriage. Only the lunch boxes got damaged" (Manik sighed in relief)

Nyonika is annoyed and to Manik : "Leave him. He always speaks sarcastically. Manik, Don't you find us troublesome?"

(Manik is shocked at her question and looks at her )

Raj : "Let me explain to him. We are destined to eat hotel food. You won't make your mother cook. That may be right too. If she stands in the kitchen for 10 minutes, you will have to press her legs for the rest of the day. It is more than five years since Alya died"

(Raj paused and looked at Nyonika)

(Manik now guessed where it is leading to. Might be they are telling them to get married. But he knew he cannot move on from Alya. But this time his guess is wrong. Raj and Nyonika came up with another plan)

Raj continued : "You won't agree to marry again. You go to work from 10 to 5 everyday. What can we say about it? If it is your duty, there is nothing to say. You are calling 5 to 6 times to know whether we are fine or not? You face lot of hardship because of us. I feel sad to see your condition. Do one thing. Take a separate room. You can come and go as you want. And put us in an old age home. All problems will be solved!"

(Manik became very angry. He didn't guessed it all)

Manik : "Why are you talking like mad people? Do you want me to sent you to an old age home and see the walls of the flat like a mad person? You are my responsibility and not my burden. Now I am smiling for the past 1 year. If you say that again, I will stop smiling also"

(Saying this Manik was about to get up)

Nyonika : "Wait dear. Okay, no question of old age home. He said that to make you agree for marrying again. You are my good boy, right?. Please marry again for us"

(Manik became silent and went away. Raj and Nyonika followed him, because they know this is the same reaction that they are getting whenever the marriage talk starts)

(Scene changes to Nandini's home)

(At night, around 8.30 p.m, after making Arav sleep Nandini is reading magazines sitting on a sofa, when the main door of the home was opened with a bang and Harshad invaded)

(Nandini became shocked and frightened. Harshad went to kitchen, put the lights on, he went to Arav's room, checked under the bed and then came to Nandini)

Harshad : "I heard some sound and came running. Please call me if needed. I'm your neighbour. I will come to help any time. My wife is not at home. She went to her hometown"

(Saying this Harshad lustily looks at Nandini and went outside. After Harshad went, Nandini ran to the door and latched it immediately. Her breathe becomes faster remembering Harshad's gaze. She is not able to even think what happened few minutes ago. How can some one come inside? He went now. But what if he comes again and does not go?)

(Her mind was filled with questions and she came and slept beside Arav and dozed off)

(Next day, Manik is rushing through the crowd at the market place to go the Railway station when he felt a tug in his pant)

Arav : "Manik sir!"

(Yes, Arav and Nandini were purchasing some home needs at market when Arav saw Manik)

Manik : "Hey! How are you?"

Arav : "Fine, Manik sir !"

Manik to Nandini : "Hello!"

Nandini smiled : "Hello!"

Arav : "Where are you going so fast?"

Manik : "To the railway station"

Arav : "We also are going there. Let us go together" (To which Manik happily agreed)

(Manik , Nandini with Arav in between them started to walk towards Railway station)

Nandini : "How are your parents?"

Manik : "They are fine! Thanks to the hotel food!" (Nandini smiled)

(Since they are about to cross the road, Manik grabbed Arav's hands tightly as he is keep on talking all the way. Arav didn't care about road crossing, because he knew his Manik sir will help)

Arav : "You are a photographer, right?"

Manik : "Yes!"

Arav : "Have you taken the photograph of Sachin?"

Manik : "No"

Arav : "Dhoni?"

Manik : "No"

Arav whinned : "Manik sir... You are waste just like my mother. I asked her for a cricket bat but she didn't buy"

Manik smiled : "What will you give me if I buy a bat for you?"

Arav : "I will beat you with the bat" (To which both Arav and Manik bursted into laughter)

Arav continued "I said that for fun. Buy me bat first and then see. I will fill your face with kisses"

Manik : "This is fantastic! I will buy you a bat. But you will make my face dirty" (Manik made a grumpy face and Arav giggled)

(Now they finished crossing the road. Nandini was a long lost soul. They forgot her)

Arav : "Manik sir! Where is mom?"

(To which both Manik and Arav turned back to find Nandini had not crossed the road yet. She is hesitating)

Arav : "I'm a young boy but you are a grown - up. Go and bring mom carefully. Go now" (Manik chuckled)

(Manik went and came along with Nandini to Arav after crossing the door)

Arav to Nandini : "Mom is grown up but can't take care of herself" (For which Nandini slightly twisted his ear)

Manik : "Arav, We should not talk with elders like that!" (Manik slightly scolded to which Arav giggled)

(They were heading to Railway station, when something strike in Arav's mind)

Arav : "Mom! You are elder. Is it proper for you to cheat a small kid? Why do you take me straight to the railway station without buying the ice cream?"

(Nandini sighed in disbelief. They went to an ice cream parlour. Arav already finished 3 flavours)

Manik : "Arav! Do you want to taste all flavours of ice creams ?"

(Manik asked sarcastically. To which Arav bobbs his head excitedly. Nandini became angry)

Nandini : "Enough of what you ate. You will get cold. Remember it"

(Arav didn't mind it and continued to eat ice cream)

Manik : "You are quite opposite to me"

Nandini : "Why?"

Manik : "I have the habit of smiling and your habit is to get angry. Even great comedians cannot make you smile"

(For which both Arav and Nandini laughed and Manik smiled)

(The waiter places the bill on the table. Manik and Nandini both fought for who is going to pay. Arav is silently watching their fight)

Manik : "I will pay"

Nandini : "No, I will pay"

Manik : "Please .... Please! "

(Manik made a sorrow face. Having no other go, Nandini obliged. By the time, the waiter came to take the money)

Waiter : "Why are you fighting? It does not matter whether the husband or wife pays!"

(Saying this the waiter went unknown to the storm that he created in the souls of two people seated. Both Manik and Nandini became numb. Nandini's condition worsened. First Harshad and then now this........Ofcourse, Manik is not the same as that bastard Harshad. But......)

Nandini : "I will go now" (Saying this she takes Arav's hand in her grip)

Manik : "But we are going to the station together"

Nandini somewhat shouted : "No! "

She composed herself and continued : "I wanted to take him to the dentist since many days. If I go now there will be no crowd. I will go now"

(Manik understandingly nodded)

Nandini to Arav : "Let's go!"

Manik : "Bye"

Arav : "Bye ! Manik sir" (After Nandini went, Manik went towards the train to board it)

(Nandini while controlling her inner turmoil dragged Arav with her and boarded an auto)

Auto Driver : "Where should you go?"

Nandini : "Jui Nagar!"

Arav : "You said that we will go the dentist"

Nandini : "No we are going home"

Nandini is feeling that she is Insecure !
