(One fine morning, Nandini gets ready and locking the door to leave for Bank)

(Introducing Harshad Saxena. He is married to Neha but is a womanizer. He is neighbour to Nandini. He is aware that Nandini stays alone with his son)

(At Harshad's house)

Harshad to Neha : "Go and pay the bill today. Otherwise we can't give the cheque tomorrow. It will be a problem. Do you have the money or shall I give?"

Neha request Harshad : "I have the money but please send it to mother-in-law"

Harshad sternly : "I will take care of her. Listen to me first. You go and pay the bill. I will go to office"

(Saying this, he comes out of his house and he saw Nandini locking her home door)

Harshad lustily looks at Nandini : "Greetings!"

(Nandini for once become frightened due to his gaze. She composed herself then)

Harshad continued : "I am Neha's husband. You may not have seen me. I used to stay in Ahmedabad. I closed my textile mill and came to Mumbai"

(Nandini just listens and did not reply)

Harshad : "I think it is time for you go to bank. Please go. Please come to our home when you find the time"

Nandini : "I take your leave"

Harshad : "Sure"

(Nandini went and Harshad kept staring her lustily )

(At evening, scene changes to Manik's flat)

(Manik comes back from his office. While removing his shoes)

Manik : "Mom ! A young guest is coming to our home tonight"

Nyonika : "Is it your friend Cabir?"

Manik annoyed : "He has such a long beard. Is he young?"

(Nyonika is lying on the sofa)

He continued : "Why are you sleeping like that?"

Nyonika : "I have back pain. Whom did you invite?"

Manik : "A lady called Nandini came to our home once. Remember?" (To which both Raj and Nyonika nodded)

He continued : "She has to go to Nagpur for bank training. She was worried where to leave her child. I told her leave him here. She will be coming here shortly with the kid"

(Both Raj and Nyonika were shocked with the new found information)

Raj : "What are you saying?"

Nyonika : "Did Nandini get married?"

Raj : "What is the need to leave the kid here? Where is her husband?"

(Manik felt it is necessary to explain them. He narrated everything to his parents.  They felt bad for Nandini)

Manik : "Her husband died. Her husband and our Alya died in the same train accident. Not only that, the boy doesn't know that she adopted him. Be careful! You must not tell him. If she comes ask her to sit. I will take my bath and come"

(Raj and Nyonika nodded)

(Time passes and Nandini came to Manik's flat with Arav)

( Introducing Arav Vedant  - Son of Nandini Vedant and Dhruv vedant)

(Arav was not leaving nandini even for a second. He is crying badly. Raj came and took Arav from Nandini's lap forcefully)

Raj : "He will keep crying. Please go, I will take care of him" (Nandini smiled and gets up to leave)

Manik : "Don't feel sad.... He will cry for some time and calm down"

Nandini : " No. I feel sad for your parents"

Manik : "They won't cry!" (Nandini laughed)

Nandini : "I didn't mean that. I mean that he will annoy them. He is mischievous"

Manik : "More than me?" (Nandini smiled)

Nandini to Nyonika : "You have this trouble because of me"

Nyonika : "This is not a trouble. Manik told me about you. It is all the play of destiny" (Nandini became silent)

(Manik is worried for Nandini's reaction)

Manik : "Mom!"

Nyonika : "Okay... okay"

Nandini : "I take your leave"

Nyonika : "Have a safe journey!"

Nandini : "Thank you once again" (Manik and Nyonika smiled and bade bye to her)

(At Night, Manik is changing dress for Arav while he is still sobbing since Nandini left)

(At dining Table, Manik and Arav were seated. While Nyonika is serving)

Nyonika to Arav : "Take this papad! Your mom told you like this"

(Arav is silently crying and eating. Manik just thinking about how to stop his cry)

(At night, Arav is standing in balcony while Manik and Raj were arranging beds)

Nyonika to Arav : "Come dear, let's go to bed. You will catch cold if you stand outside" (While arav is not willing to come)

Raj calls from the bed room : "Your granny is saying so . Come and sleep dear. We made the bed ready"

Arav : "I don't want to sleep"

Nyonika : "He will not come if you call. He will come if Manik calls"

Arav : "I won't come even if anyone calls"

(Just then, Manik thought of a plan)

Manik : "Mom ! I got some ice cream and put it in the fridge. Where is it? Dad may eat it. It is not for us"

Nyonika also played along : "Who is it for?"

Manik bends down to Arav's level : "It is for an important and special person"

He patted Arav 's cheeks and continued " Look here. You should not cry. Okay? You are a good boy, right?"

Arav : "I want my mother. When will she return?"

Manik : "She will return in 2 days. What do you want? Tell me. Ice cream, Chocolates, Cold drink?" (Arav nodded in no. Manik thought for a while)

Manik : "You want sketch pencils, right?" (Arav is silent)

Manik continued : "Tell me what you want?"

Arav : "I want to get drenched in rain. Can you bring that?" (To which both Manik and Nyonika are shocked for a while)

Raj from his room : " A very good question!"

Nyonika : "He wants rain. Is that an Ice cream that you can buy from the shop?" (Manik smiled)

Manik : "If we pray to god, he will send down rain"

Nyonika understood Manik : "That is true"

Manik : "Let us all pray to god. All of you close your eyes and pray"

(Saying this he truned to Arav)

Manik to Arav : "Tomorrow it will rain and you can get drenched. Let's sleep now" (Saying this he pulled Arav. But Arav didn't turn up)

Manik : "So you won't come. Mom! Come let's go"

Nyonika : "But he is not coming"

(Manik dragged his mother and went inside, switched off the lights and asked her to go and sleep. She went. Manik came near dining table and drink some water)

Manik : "Mom! After some time two ghosts will come. He will play with them happily"

(Frightened Arav rushes inside and stands beside Manik)

Manik : "What happened? Come Let's go to sleep"

(Saying this he kept his hand on Arav's shoulder which Arav removed off. Arav went and lied in sofa which is in the Hall room . Manik  sighed and went to his room)

(Manik is reading some magazines . Just as the time passes, Arav slept. Manik came and took Arav in his arms and went upstairs. He made Arav stand on his feet and shook him to wake up. After Arav woke up, he raised his eye brows in question. Manik smiled and opened the terrace door. It is raining outside)

(Arav's smile widened and in a second, he went out and drenched completely. He is dancing in the rain. Manik also accompanied him. Manik twirled him in the air and put him on his shoulders and started dancing in the rain)

(At Night, Manik and Arav are sleeping a little far from each other. Arav cannot sleep. So first he went near Manik. Then he put his legs around Manik's waist and slept. Manik woke up because of some movements and saw Arav's position. He didn't mind it. He just patted his back and made him sleep)

(After 2 days)

(Arav likes Manik and vice versa and enjoyed his company very much in these two days. He is very happy. He also liked Manik's parents and started calling them Dadu and Dadi. Nandini came to take Arav with her)

Manik to Arav : "Will you come again for holidays?"

Arav : "Surely I will come. Bye Manik sir . Bye dadu. Bye dadi"

(Yeah he started calling Manik as "MANIK SIR"as per Nandini's instruction before leaving him there!)

(Nandini thanked Manik and his parents for taking care of Arav and went to her home with Arav)
