Two Months

The next three days became a routine for Jewels.  She would wake up to an empty bed, feeling disappointed about the cold space beside her, she would take her frustrations with her on a run around the perimeter of the estate.  With Roku following her, she made it a race and teased him mercilessly for the rest of the day.  Taking her time strengthen her body, she would do yoga by the lake and stretch her body until it became relaxed and nibble.  Afterwards she would take Roku into the training room and they would spar.  Even though she was at a level 5 and Roku was at low level 9, with Jewels unique fighting skills that Roku has never scene before, Jewels was able to win a couple of rounds.

She would then spend her time with her family in the morning. Her material family would join them every breakfast time and stayed til lunch. At lunch she would spend time helping Uncle Jude with his progress and plan his exercise for the next couple months that she would be away.  She would then spend time with Pop pop and watch him in his blacksmith room refining metal into her daggers and short sword.  They decided on 10 steel daggers wrought in 11 inches in length. Its leaf-shape blade is sharpened on both sides and has a handle with a ring attached to the pommel.  The ring on the pommel was useful for many reasons.  Jewels could attach a piece of  rope through the ring and use it as a grappling hook or it could also be strapped to a stick and make a makeshift spear.  Jewels also asked Pop pop to make 40 steel, needle form throwing darts.  Each needle dart weighed less than 1 ounce and is only 4 inches in length. The last weapon Pop pop worked on was the double edged straight short sword.  The length of the sword weighed 3 pounds and its length came to 35 inches.  Its sharp double edged blade is straight with simple straight lines that ran to the tip.  Its T-cross handle was large enough for one hand to hold. The weapons that Pop pop made were light, simple and strong.  It did not hold any delicate details that are usually requested when he was commissioned to make a weapon.  Jewels needed weapons to be sharp, not pretty.  

After leaving Pop pop to his workshop, Jewels would spend the rest of the afternoon with her Master.  Master Doku would teach her and quiz her, while she weeded the herb garden.  Sometimes, if he was feeling generous he would show her different methods of drying medicinal brews and turning them into pills. Jewels would return back home for dinner with her family on both sides and they would talk into the night.  When the Rowen's left, everyone bid each other good night and returned to their bedroom.  

It was in these moments that Raidenn and Jewels shared that Jewels looked forward to each night.  Sometimes, they would hold each other and talk about everything.  Other times they would banter and bully each other.  Some times they would share kisses that would range from light feathery kisses to burning, searing kisses.  Raiden's touch were becoming bolder and bolder with each passing night.  They would spend time learning each others bodies and remembering which place on the others body made them squeal or scream.  Which place made them cry out in pleasure and which place made them shiver in anticipation.  Each passing night, Raiden would work to give her, her climax, always building her up then stepping back, letting her build up recede and then building her up again to reach her climax.  His teasing drove her crazy and made her cling to him each and every time he made her cum.    When it was his turn, Jewels would work on him with her mouth, remembering everything that she learned in her previous life and gave him her all.  Her mouth drove him wild, she sucked and licked him until he came into her mouth and when she swallowed, he became hard again just for her.

"You okay?" Jewels asked after awhile when Raiden's arm that covered his eyes did not come off. 

"Hmm." Raiden answered. 

"What does"Hmm" mean?" 

"Nothing, go to sleep." Raiden told her.  "You leave tomorrow and you need your rest." 

"You tired already old man?"  Jewels teased him. 

"Old man?  I'm only six years older than you!" Raid said as he took his arm away from his face and wrapped it around Jewels. 

"There you are."  Jewels said.  "Why were you hiding behind your arm for?"  

"Just tired." Raiden answered. 

"See, I knew it, you were tired, you are an old man!" Jewels laughed as Raiden tickled her.   

They kissed and made up and soon those kisses heated up and they began to pleasure each other all over again and again until the early morning lit up the sky.  Jewels laid in Raiden's arms, watching his sleeping form.  She left him there with a content smile on his lips as she went to the bathroom to get ready to leave.  After taking a shower and getting dressed for the day, she exited the bathroom and stared at Raiden again.  She was torn with not wanting to disturb his sleep and not wanting to leave without saying goodbye.  After another five minutes of debating, she finally made her decision and sat beside him and kissed him until he woke up. 

"You smell good." Raiden said between kisses.  

"I have to go." Jewels told him. 

"Humph," Raiden pouted as his arms wrapped around her body, trapping her in his embrace.  Their kiss deepen as their hands roamed around each other's body. 

"I'm running late," Jewels reminded herself.

"Humph," Raiden said as his lips sucked on her earlobe. 

"You're purposefully doing this," Jewels complained.  "Are you going to bully me before I go?" 

"Humph," Raiden said again not listening to her. 

"I still have to eat breakfast before I leave.  Do you want me to leave with an empty stomach?" Jewels asked as she kissed his jaw line to his ear.  

"I'm not the only person kissing here." Raiden reminded her. 

Bringing her lips to his again she kissed him deeply.  When they broke apart, passion filled their eyes and Jewels was tempted to crawl back into bed with him. "Sleep.  I just just wanted to say good bye before I go. "

"Should you need anything---" Raiden said but was interrupted. 

"I'll send word, I know, I remember your words." Jewels smiled down at him again and kissed five times fast.  She kissed him on the forehead,  on both cheeks, on his nose and lastly on his lips.  "That was the five star kiss. If ever in the future one of us is mad at the other and we get into an argument, we have to preform the five star kiss to appease each other." 

"Okay," Raiden agreed.  

"I'll see you in two month," Jewels says as she traces his eyebrows.  

"Okay."

"You don't have to see me off.  I'm going to get some breakfast with Uncle and Pop pop and they can see me off.  You still need your beauty sleep old man." 

Chuckling he said. "Okay." 

"Okay." Jewels agrees. Staring at him one more time, she stilled her heart to leave the handsome man in her bed. 

 "Okay." she whispered again as she got up and left the room.  

Instead of going back to sleep, Raiden lied in bed until he heard her and her family open the door to go outside.  He heard Jewels order Roku and Ichi to get on their horses so they can leave.  He heard her family bid her goodbye and heard her get into the carriage with Sunny.  He heard the carriage's door shut and the carriage riding away, further and further away from him.  A painful feeling erupted in his heart as he grabbed his chest with his hand.

"Two months," Raiden whispered.  "It's just two months."

Jewels travel on the road to Parker Forest had been uneventful.  With two high leveled fighters riding beside the carriage, bandits where wary of them and turned their attention elsewhere.  It was the last day of their travels before entering Parker Forest that Jewels decided to stop at the last town before the forest to rest and stock up on supplies. When she checked into the inn, the inn had two rooms left and she took it. 

"What's happening that there is such a bustle in town?"  Jewels asked the inn keeper as he showed them to their rooms. 

"The Mayor's son was killed by a wild beast a couple of days ago.  The Mayor has put up a reward of 5000 blank notes for the capture or kill of the beast."

"What kind of beast killed the Mayor's son?"  Jewels asked. 

"It was a rare golden lion that killed him! There were several witnesses that saw it happen.  When the Mayor put up the reward, many cultivators and fighters came to capture their gold lion for themselves and collect on the reward." 

"Can a gold lion be tamed?" Jewels asked not knowing anything about taming animals. 

"Of course animals can be tamed! As long as the fighter or cultivator is skillful and powerful enough to tame the animal, any animal can be tamed." 

"Huh," Jewels said out loud.  "Why is it the first time I'm hearing about this?" 

"Not many people can tame animals so the knowledge on how to tame animals have been lost.  Those who do tame animals are few and far in between.  I can name only a handful of people who are able to do it and half of them are dead."  Roku said to Jewels.

"Dead?" 

"Legends.  Heroes." Ichi told her.

"Ah, I see." Jewels said as they reached her room.  Letting Roku and Ichi enter first to check the room, when it was cleared, Jewels received both keys to the rooms she rented from the inn keeper.  Afterwards both Jewels and Sunny entered the room and closed the door behind them.  

"Does Raiden have an animal call?" Jewels asked.

"His Highness has many animals that he has tamed." Sunny said as she set Jewels bag down on the table and start to arrange some of her things.  

"How many?" 

"Three." 

"What kind?" Jewels asked pretending she wasn't interested, but really she was.  Had she known that she could tame animals and make them her animal to call, then all those times she hiked the mountain to find Uncle Jude's herbs, she would have tried to capture some of them instead of avoiding them.  What a wasted shame on a great opportunity! 

"His Highness has a hawk, a wolf and a monster animal that should not be alive.  Thankfully, His Highness has tamed it or else it would have been killed by now." Roku said shivering. "The monster animal has the head of an eagle and the body of a lion.  Its front legs has feathers and claws like an eagle and its hind legs and tail of a lion.  It has wings, so it can fly, and a sharp beak to break bones to eat." 

"A griffin!" Jewels shouted.  "What you described sounds exactly like a griffin!" 

"Grif-fin?" Ichi repeated slowly. "Have you seen one before?" 

"No, I've only read about them.  It says griffins are myths, that they no longer exist." Jewels told them.

"Prince Raiden tamed the grif-fin when he was 10 years old.  He was heavily hurt, however the grif-fin stood by his side and watched over him as he laid in bed healing.  Anyone who came close had to be careful, if they weren't the grif-fin would bite their heads off. No one know how he was able to tame the grif-fin, Raiden named the grif-fin, Gekido, meaning rage." 

"I'll have to ask him next time I see him." 

They left the room and went to the other side of the inn that was a restaurant for dinner. All anyone could talk about was the golden lion and how they were going to be the one who would capture it.  Jewels ordered dishes to be shared and as they came out, there was ruckus at the door.  Five men dressed in green and black came in drunk demanding a table and food.  The five men looked to be bodyguards to the sixth man dressed in all white.  The man in white looked to be a noble man with the way he carried himself.  There were no opened table in the restaurant so the five men came to the table next to Jewels and threatened the people sitting there.  All the people there looked to be rich merchants that did not eat with their bodyguards.  They probably thought they were safe just because they reached the safety of an inn, that the need to have a bodyguard by them were unnecessary.  When the merchants were scared away, the five rowdy men sat down and ordered several dishes.  The man in white strolled in as if he was on a stroll in the park and sat down next to them.  Everyone in the room turned back to what they were doing and the quiet room became nosy again.  

The whole time the ruckus was happening, Jewels and her table did not even look up to see what was happening.  They didn't even lift their head to watch as the five bodyguards intimidated the merchants and forced them to leave, they kept eating as if the six men that caused a scene were nothing but flies buzzing. 

It was because of this that the man in white took notice of Jewels and her group.  It was also because of this that the man in white took offense and wanted to cause trouble for Jewels and her table. 

"Ah, Jamie, that dish looks delicious, give me that dish." The man in white said pointing the dish that Jewels was reaching to pick out from.  The man named Jamie stood up and walked over to Jewels table and snatched the plate off the table and set it in front of the man in white.  Roku was about to say something when Jewels stopped him with a look.  

"Pay no mind to the dish that was just taken.  We are, after all, finished with it and its left over is fit for the feeding of dogs only." Jewels said.  "Besides, if someone want to eat our leftovers, it would be a blessing for we did not waste food and feeding the poor is one of my priorities in life." 

Roku, Ichi and Sunny smiled at Jewels comment.  Many people around them saw what happened and when Jewels made her comment those who were paying attention laughed out loud at her insult.  First calling the six men animals and then calling them poor.

The man in white threw the dish on the floor in a fit of rage.  "How dare you?! Do you know who I am?" 

Jewels paid him no mind and kept eating. 

"I am the son of the police chief!  No one insults me or my men." 

"Is a dog barking?" Jewels asked Sunny.  "I shall complain to the innkeeper about stray dogs barking in the middle of the night." 

The customers laughed even harder enraging the man in white even more.

"What is your name?" He shouted. "I, Terry Dorma, son of the police chief, Taylor Dorma, demand you tell me your name or be arrested by my men!" 

"Ahh!" Jewels sighed deeply as she finished her food.  "Innkeeper, your chef surely knows how to cook, give my regards to your cook.  We shall visit here again when we come back into town." 

Terry walks over to them and the five men surrounds the table.  

"Sunny," Jewels asked.  "These why are there so many stray dogs around us?  You know I don't like stray dogs.  They are unkempt and smelly.  They bark and pee where ever they want to and have no training."  

Pointing at their leftovers Jewels turns to Roku and tells him, "Here are our leftovers.  If we feed the stray dogs, they should leave us alone." 

The customers chuckled underneath their breaths at Jewels comment.  

"Arrest them!" Terry yelled red faced. 

"For what reason am I being arrested for?" Jewels asked.  

"For causing a public disturbance and harassing merchants." 

Jewels scoffed at the ridiculous man.  

"There goes the stray dog barking again. Barking nonsense to anyone and everyone." Shaking her head, she turns to Terry. "You or your dogs touch me or my people, you will be very sorry. I guarantee it."  

Jewels stared at Terry coldly, her death aura shining brightly, making Terry submit to her.  This is the first time Roku, Ichi and Sunny felt Jewels death aura surround them and oppress them.  Although this was not the first time she killed in front of Roku and Ichi, when she killed Amelia Jonas, there was no death aura that she projected, when she made her kill, it was a surprise to everyone how silent her killing intent was.  But now facing a group of ridiculous men, who threw their power and connections around so they can bully people, Jewels did not like how they acted and treated the people and guest of the town. 

One of the guards who was a level 9 looked down on Jewels and the people at her table.  He felt they were all below level 7 and he felt he could take them all down by himself.  What he did not know was that Ichi, Roku and Sunny all wore talismans to suppress their energy levels to trick enemies into thinking that they were weak. 

"Master, they are all under level 7. Instead of arresting them, lets kill the men and rape the women!"  Sonny said as he looked at Jewels up and down. 

"You disgusting vile creatures.  Who would have thought that even guests here in this small town would have to put up with stray dogs who claim to be the son of the police chief and men of the police chief." 

"I am the son of the police chief!" Terry declared. 

"Who would have thought that the police chief does not know how to teach his dogs well.  All they know how to do is steal, lie, cheat, harass, and intimidate people and guest of this town.  If word gets out how the police chief and his dog of a son and stray dogs of bodyguards knows nothing but crime, the loss of face for the police chief and mayor of this town would be so  monumental that they'll lose their seat of power."  Jewels said out loud drinking her tea.  

"Kill the men and capture the women." Terry ordered.  

Before Ichi, Roku and Sunny could make a move, Jewels was able to grab hold of her dagger and slice the fingers off the man reaching for her.  His fingers flew up and Jewels hit the fingers towards Terry, hitting him on the face.  The scream of the man holding his hand with two missing fingers stopped everyone and drew their attention to the commotion.  

"Does any other dog want to lose some fingers tonight?" Jewels asked.  

"You'll pay for this!" Terry said as he wiped off the blood off his face with his sleeve. 

Jamie, who stood behind Sunny started to reach out for Sunny when Jewels unleashed her short sword and cut his hand off.  Another scream carried on with the first screaming man and the other three men stepped back.  They didn't even help there comrade that was injured.  

"Does the stray dogs still want to play?" Jewels asked as she wiped down her sword with a napkin and put it back in it scabbard.  

"How dare you injure my men, you'll be arrested!  Sonny go get my father and tell him to bring all the policemen.  Tell him that I've been attacked and my men have been injured in protecting me.  Quickly go!"  Terry ordered.  

Watching Sonny leaving the restaurant, Jewels smiled with glee and couldn't wait for the real show to start. 

Terry opened his mouth again and before he could say anything, Jewels had already attacked the other two body guards.  Both of them losing an arm each.  By the time everyone noticed what happened, Jewels was already sitting down cleaning the blood of her sword again before she placed it back where it belonged.  

"Are you sure, stray dog, that you want to bring your father into this?  You'll surely regret this."  Jewels told him.  "Your father might lose his head instead of you."  

Terry's face turned white as he fell to the ground on his butt.  Four men crying out in pain as blood gushed all over the floor.  When the police chief entered the restaurant with all the policemen, he saw his son cowering on the bloody floor  and he lost all reason to think as ordered his men to block all exits.  

"Who did this? Who is responsible for all this?" Chief Taylor yelled. 

Seeing his father was here to save him, Terry pointed at Jewels and told him. "Its her father, she's the demon who injured all my men.  She's the one who attacked me." 

Before Chief Taylor could tell his men to arrest him, there came a laughter from the second level of the restaurant that drew everyone's gaze towards the man in red.  

"If Police Chief Taylor really believes his son instead of investigating matters correctly, this town is doomed."  

Red faced, Chief Taylor sputtered out his defense.  "Proof?  The proof is in front of everyone.  Does anyone deny that this young lady cut the limbs off these men?"

When no one denied his charge he felt relieved. "Now, since no one denies it, I suggest you put down your weapons and turn yourself in." 

"It was in defense." Jewels said yawning.  "Your son committed several crimes against me and several other patrons, then he wanted to put blame on me for the crimes he committed and tried to arrest me under false accusations. He did this all in the name of the son of the police chief and made it widely known that he is your son. When his men attacked me and my people, I defended myself.  They should be so lucky that they are alive."  

Chief Taylor looked at the innkeeper and he agreed to Jewels statement and when several other guests came up to defend Jewels, Chief Taylor told his men to step down and take the bodyguards to a doctor. 

"I will still have to take you to the police station and arrest you for public disturbance." Chief Taylor said holding a grudge. 

"And your son?" Jewels asked. 

"What about my son?"

"He's the one who created the public disturbance in the first place.  Are you going to arrest and charge him as well or are you just going to arrest and charge me only?"  Jewels questioned him.  "Is the police chief disregarding the law for his own son, but want to press charges against someone else's daughter because I have no relations to you?"  

Chief Taylor's face became a tomato red.  

"I--" Chief  Taylor said but could not finish.

"You what?"  Jewels said mockingly. "You're going to let me go just like your son right?" 

Instead of arguing with her. Chief Taylor takes his son and slaps him in his face in front of everyone, surprising them. Once he slapped his son, he drags Terry out of the restaurant and every policemen walks out as well.  When the innkeeper came to apologize, Jewels paid the bill along with the damages incurred from the incident and excused herself.  As Jewels made her way to her room, she was stopped by a maid with brown red hair. 

"This servant's Master has tasked this servant to invite the young lady to meet this servant's Master."  she said. 

"I refuse." Jewels said directly. 

"But this servant's Master helped the young lady." 

"Did I ask for his help?"  

Panicking, she knew that she had to get the young lady to meet her Master or she would not survive her Master's wrath. 

"It is only customary to thank those who have help young lady. "  The maid said with her head bowed.  

"It is also unladylike to meet strange men without an introduction.  If your Master wants me to thank him, tell him I said so through you. " Jewels told her without really thanking him.  "Now you have delayed me long enough.  Step aside or you'll lose a finger or a hand or an arm yourself. You can decide." 

Fearing for her safety, she stepped to the side and let her pass.  She has never met anyone like this young lady before.  When she reported to her Master directly, word for word the conversation they had, her Master laughed instead of getting mad.  

"This young lady, find out who she is and why she's here."  The man in red ordered his bodyguard. 

When Jewels was in bed, with Sunny sleeping in a cot by the fireplace, Jewels stared at the ceiling and kept repeating. 

"Two months." Until she fell asleep.
