Priya's Pov

I am thinking about mom's words.She knows everything now.Did sowmya tell her about Arjun?Rejection?I wanted to ask mom but If she wasn't I would give her unwanted clues and information.

I looked at the trophy in my hand.It is glittering in the bedroom light.I am feeling its metallic touch.I yanked at its touch and almost dropped it.

It is the best memory of my life.
I got this in my college first year.

My life's best days were my college days.That too my first year.

"So you are joining our music band."Arjun smiled .

"Yes,I am joining"I nodded.

"Okay,Just come to auditorium in the evening.I will introduce you to our band"He said.

"Sure"I winked.

I went to the auditorium in the evening.I was tensed a bit.

"Hai"Arjun came to me running.

"Hai"I felt really tensed.

"Don't get tensed,Please"He said grinning.

"I will try"I sighed.

"Let me introduce you to our new member,Priya"He said loudly from dais.

"Hai Priya!"A girl came to me and greeted me.

"I thought I would be the only girl in this band.Now I am much relaxed I got a friend"She hugged me.

"Hai,I am Priya"I smiled at her.

"Hai,I am sandhya"She smiled back.

"And He is Vickey and He is Prem"She introduced me to others.

I greeted everyone.They talked to me friendly.I felt a bit relieved and comfortable.

We practiced together.They are happy with my voice.I also felt comfortable with the band and their requirements.I can spend some time with them every week.I know I have to plan my study time carefully now as spending sometime for poetry and music.

"So how is the band?"Arjun asked me.

"Very nice"I said the truth.

"Great!"He sighed.

I finally got well with the band.

"I have a great news for you"He said to me.

"What?"I asked him eagerly.

"Intercollege competitions"He gave a card.

"Wow!"I screamed out of  joy.

"Yes,Truly it's a great oppurtunity"He said anxiously.

"We want to talk to our members"He quickly added.

"Yes,"I nodded.

We walked into the music room and assembled our band members

"Here is the great news for us guys"Arjun announced.

Every one got excited and  we all clapped at his announcement.

We have decided the song and everything.As there is duet and solo categories.We want to participate in the both wings.

I will be part of duet.Sandhya would be the solo singer.

We all are ready for the performance.We are super excited but I am tensed about my performance.I don't know whether I can reach upto their expectations.

The competition has started,We are on the backstage,waiting for our turn.

Arjun came to me and stood beside me.I smiled at him.

"Tensed?"He asked me.

"What do you think?"I smiled.

"Don't worry!"He smiled back.

"Duet that too with you!"I sighed.

"What?Am I devil?"He looked at me shocked.

"You have huge following"I whispered in his eyes.

"Oh!Really?"He raised his eye brows.

"Yes!That too huge female following"I winked.

"Really!"He chuckled.

"Yes"I blinked my eyes.

"How do you know?"He asked me.

" I know,I have seen several girls drool over you"I whispered in his eyes.

"Wow,Such a sweet secret"He is smiling madly.

"So,You are jealous"He grinned.

"Why me?"I pretended anger.

"You are worried"He added.

"Why would I?"I am still pretending.

"You are worried about me that some would steal me away from you!"He said something.

"What?"I am shocked at his answer

"Nothing!"He said in a serious tone.

"What are you both doing here?"Sandhya came and asked us.

"Nothing!"Arjun answered her.

"Is it the time to chat?"She got irritated.

"Sandy!"He got irked at her statement.

"Here comes the announcement"Prem shouted at us in excitement.

We went to dais and started our performance.As solo got finished .It's our turn for duet.

I started singing and Arjun is with me.I am feeling something different from the practice.

I couldn't see straight into his eyes.I am singing closing my eyes.Somehow we finished our performance.I don't know why I am not satisfied with my performance.It's not about musical stats.It's about something else.

Arjun,I am searching for him at the backstage.I am feeling something different about him.

We flirted openly.I know poetry class has made us good friends.We shared opinions on several issues.Poetry talks about metaphysical things the most beautiful metaphysical thing in the world is love.It make you jump,squeal,shout,cry,care and what not.We both are truly unaware when did we cross the border of friendship.

"Where is Arjun?"Sowmya came and hugged me.

"Don't know!"I hugged her back.

"You both did magic on the stage"She cupped my cheeks.

"Arjun"Sowmya shouted at him.

"Where have you gone?"Vickey too joined us.

"Just went to washroom!"He mumbled.

"Okay!They are about to announce the results"Vickey informed us.

I looked at him and he looked back at me with passionate eyes.

"Its Arjun and Priya"I heard someone announcing our names.

"Just go!"Sowmya budged me.

I  didn't budge.I am in a big shock .I never imagined this.I am speechless.I am drenched in sweat.I am completely clueless.

"Priya!"Arjun shook me twice.

"Priya"He shouted.

"What?"I yanked at his touch.

"Come on!"He held my hand and  dragged me to the stage.

I couldn't believe my eyes.I am trembling,My legs are woobling.I never saw such huge crowd.Auditorium is full of young blood.
Our college members are cheering for us.I am just flying on the cloud.I am clueless about my expressions.I am feeling extremely different.

We got down and looked at Arjun.

"You are literally shivering"He is still holding my hand.

"Thank you"I looked at him passionately.

"Hey!Come on"He smiled at me.

"It's just because of you"I am short of words.

"You deserve this applause"He cupped my cheeks.

"I am truly happy"I said to him and shared a hug for a second.

"Me too"We stood there looking at each other eyes.

"We did it"We got distracted by Prem's entry.

"You people are hiding here"He said in an accused tone.

"Let us have a blast"Vickey came.

"Here we got it"They are proudly showing their trophies and certificates.

We got best band award.Every one is having one trophy in their hands. But we both Me and Arjun got this duet trophy as bonus.

But how to share this additional trophy and certificate.I gave the certificate to him and brought trophy with me.

Sometimes sharing is a sweet thing.
