*2 years after the battle*
Hermione was running through a long hallway being chased by death eaters. She came to a dead end only to turn around the see Bellatrix walking towards her with a smile on her face. Hermione tried to slip past her, but Bellatrix grabbed her arm and pulled her into an empty room. She forced Hermione down to the floor and pulled out a knife. Hermione started to scream as Bellatrix began to carve something in her arm.

Hermione woke up screaming. It had been another nightmare. She sat up in bed panting. Just then she heard someone say,
"Bloody hell mona, you still having that bloody dream, it has been 2 years." This made Hermione jump. She had forgotten that Ron had stayed the night.
"What on earth are you doing in my bed? I told you that you could stay but you have to sleep on the couch!"
"Your bloody cat wouldn't leave me alone. He kept trying to suffocate me. So I came in here to escape."
"Get out!"
"It's 4 am Hermione you can't be serious plus it is freezing outside."
"Ronald Weasley if you don't get out of my apartment now Merlin help me I will hex you back to The Burrow in pieces."
"Okay don't get your panties in a wad I am going." Ron got up got dressed and left. Hermione put on her sweat pants and got out of bed. She put on her robe and went into the kitchen to make her self a cup of tea. While the tea was brewing, Hermione grabbed her book from her bedside table and sat on the couch. She was re-reading one of her favorites Little Women. The tea kettle began to whistle. She grabbed the kettle and poured it into a mug. She then grabbed a bag of her favorite tea, peppermint. She settled down under a blanket with her book and her tea. Soon her alarm on her phone was going off. It was time for her to get ready for work. She placed her bookmark in her book. She rinsed out her cup and placed it in the dishwasher. She then jumped in the shower. She then blow dried her hair and put it into a messy bun on her head. She went into her bedroom and opened up her wardrobe. She pulled out a blue polo, a red sweater, and a black skirt. She then grabbed a pair of hose and her black Mary Jane shoes. She got dressed and finished her makeup. She added some eye shadow, blush, and lip gloss. She checked the time and realized that she was running late. She grabbed her phone and ran into the living room while putting on her earring. She grabbed her purse and briefcase and grabbed a handful of floo powder. The threw it down and said, 'Ministry of Magic.' Upon landing she stepped out of the fireplace and dusted herself off. She then made her way through the crowd and into an open elevator. The doors were just about to close when a hand pulled it open. Ron pulled open the doors and stepped in. Hermione moved over and Ron stepped in. He smiled at her and said,
"Good morning Hermione. You look beautiful as always this fine morning."
Good morning again Ron thanks." Ron leaned against the wall and said with a smirk,
"You want me to stop the elevator and we have a little morning exercise?" Hermione looked up from her planner and said,
"Ron are you out of your mind? First off, the elevator is not the place to do that and second, I am appalled that you would even suggest something like that especially after this morning or did you forget about that?"
"I didn't forget I just figured I could make it up to you." Ron walked over and began to walk his fingers up Hermione's arm. Hermione slammed her planner shut and turned to face Ron.
"Ron I have told you over and over again over the last two years and I will say it again. We will not be having sex until after we are married. You haven't even proposed yet and you keep trying to get me to have sex with you. The answer is still no, now stop trying to seduce me." The elevator stopped and the door opened. Hermione stepped out and the door closed behind her. She let out a sigh and then walked around the corner to her office. Upon arriving she was greeted by her secretary Izzie.
"Good morning Miss Granger. Here is your white chocolate carmel latte just the way you like it with three pumps of white chocolate, 3 pumps of carmel, and one shot of espresso. Here is your list of daily reminders and please don't be mad at me but there is someone in your office." Hermione smiled at Izzie. She was a 7th year intern who was in a special program that Hermione created that allows 7th year students the opportunity to work in whatever field they are interested in going in to when they graduate.
"Good morning and thank you Izzie and for the thousandth time please call me Hermione. Who did you let into my office you know I don't like people in there without my knowledge?"
"Yes Miss Hermione sorry ma'am. She made me swear not to tell you." Hermione just shook her head and unlocked the door. She flipped on the light. As she did she heard a voice say as her desk chair spun around,
" I love what you have done with the place. It just screams Hermione Granger is in charge. Look out wizarding world!" Hermione put her purse and briefcase on a chair and set her coffee on the desk before embracing her best friend.
"Ginny your back! It is so good to see you. When did you get  in?" Izzie slipped out of the office and closed the door giving then two friends some privacy.
"I got in about an hour ago. I haven't gone to see mom, dad, and George, and Ron yet. I wanted to surprise you and Harry first. We weren't supposed to be back until tonight, but we decided to fly through the night."
" I am so happy to see you. Did you guys win?"
"Of course we did! I am happy to be home. I've missed you and Harry so much. What time does Harry come in, at 9 right?" Hermione pulled out her planner and said,
"Congrats on your win and yet he is in at 9. Actually he has a meeting with me first thing this morning so if you want you can hang out here."
"Sure that would be great!" Hermione hung up her purse on the coat rack. She placed her briefcase on the table next to her desk. She. Then pulled out her laptop and several folders. She pulled out her charger and plugged in her computer. Ginny just watched her best friend. Ginny sat in one of the chairs and said,
"So I hear you managed to get everyone on board using muggle technology?"
"Most of the ministry is using cell phones. Kingsley, Harry, and their secretaries have computers. Lizzie has a computer too. Daphne Greengrass has one too since she is the head of the werewolf division of the magical creature department. Dean has one since he is over the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts with your father. Dean is teaching him how to use one. Some of the teachers at Hogwarts have one, Neville, Remus, and Hannah. Tonks and Mad-Eye have phones a well."
"You are really making a difference Hermione. I am really proud of you. We should have made you minister years ago." Hermione laughed.
"Gin I have been minster for almost two years. I have a lot more that I want to do that I think will push the wizarding world into the 21st century."
"Well I for one think you are doing a fabulous job!" Hermione smiled and then said,
"Thanks Ginny that means a lot. Now I need to run to the bathroom before Harry, Tonks, & Kingsley show up. I will be back." She grabbed a letter that she needed to send out.
"Lizzie can you please take this to the owlery? This needs to get to Professor McGonagall  ASAP thanks."
"Yes ma'am Miss Hermione right away." She took the letter and went to towards the elevator. Hermione smiled and shook her head. She disappeared into the bathroom. Ginny sat back down in Hermione's chair. It was amazingly comfortable and it spins. Ginny spun a few times then she heard Harry's voice and turned the chair to face the wall. Harry, Kingsley, and Tonks walked in and Harry said,
"Good Morning Hermione!" Ginny smiled and said as she slowly turned around.
"Good Morning to you too Harry!" Ginny stood up and jumped into Harry's open arms. The two hugged and Harry kissed his wife before setting her down saying,
"Gin what on earth are you doing here? You weren't supposed to the home until tonight."
"We decided to fly back last night. We got in about an hour and a half ago. I didn't tell you because I wanted to surprise you."
"Well I am defiantly surprised. I missed you." Hermione walked in and said,
"So sorry to keep you guys waiting. Let's begin I know you guys have better things to do right now." Ginny kissed Harry and said,
"I am going to go see mum, dad, and George before they have a fit. You know mum. Love you Harry. Hermione girls night later this week." Hermione nodded. Ginny left and Hermione made a third chair appear. She then began,
"So how is the death eater round up going? When we met last month there were still several at large, Rodolphus Lestange, Antonin Dolohov, Alecto & Amycus Carrow & Fenir Greyback. Daphne is helping to track him down. Also how is Lucius' rehabilitation doing?" Tonks spoke first,
"We are still looking for them, we have gotten several leads but when we go to investigate they have all been dead ends or traps. We did receive a tip that we are going to investigate later today." Kingsley then said,
" Lucius is doing great actually. Narcissa said that he garden looks amazing. She said that he spends most of the day in the greens house. Some days she has to drag him inside by his ear. She has even found him sleep in there." Hermione finished writing the notes and then she said,
"Great on the Lucius front and please keep me updated on the death eater situation. Okay that is all thanks for coming." Kingsley & Tonks left. Harry stayed behind. Once they left the room, Harry closed the door and cast 'Silencio'.
"Okay start talking what's wrong?" Hermione looked at him and said,
" I am fine Harry nothing is wrong." Harry gave her a yeah right look and said,
" Come on Mona I know you better than than you are one of my best friends since we were 12. Now please tell me what is going on?" Hermione set down her pen and said,
"Okay fine you win. I had the nightmare again."  Harry sat down and said,
" Mona I am sorry. What do you think caused it?"
"I have no idea. It could have been stress related it could be something else." Harry gave her a strange look, then said,
"What's got you stressed out Hermione?" Hermione let out a sigh and then said,
" Ron showed up at my apartment last night. I am pretty sure that he had been drinking. I told him that he could stay the night but that he had to sleep on the couch. Then when I woke up from my nightmare at 4 am he was in the bed next to me. He keeps trying to get me to sleep with I'm and I keep telling him that I won't sleep with him until we are married." Harry let Hermione catch her breath before saying,
" I am so sorry Mona. I can talk to him for you. I can find out his plans for his proposal."
"I wouldn't even accept it right now if he asked me to marry him but thanks." Harry smiled at his best friend and said,
" Well if you need to talk you know where to find me." Hermione smiled saying,
"Thanks Harry." Harry left her office and Hermione turned back to the massive stacks of paper work on her desk. She decided to start with the largest stack which was just files that needed to be put away. She finished this in about 10 minutes. Hermione then moved on to the papers that required her signature. Most of the documents were short or things that she knew about. The last one was about the new apothecary to get Wolf-bane from.  It was blank. She quickly sent a text to Daphene and asked her to come to her office at her earliest convince. She got a response with in a few seconds that read, 'On my Way.' A few minutes later, Izzie knocked on the door.
"Yes come in" Hermione called out. Izzie opened the door and said,
" Miss Daphene Greengrass  is here to see you ma'am."
"Thank you Izzie please send her in." Daphene walked
and Izzie closed the door. Daphene sat down in a chair and Hermione said,
"Good Morning Daphene. How are you today?"
"I am good. How are you?"
"Good so I noticed on your form here that you didn't put down the name of the new apothecary. Have you found one or do you still need one?" Daphene swallowed and said,
"I didn't have one when I sent the paper but I found one yesterday. I was planning on telling you later today."
"Great what apothecary is it?"
"Don't get upset with me they are the only ones I could find on short notice."
"Daphene I won't get mad at you just tell me."
"Malfoy & Zabini Apothecary." Hermione hadn't heard the name Malfoy since leaving school.
"Okay well they need to sign the paperwork." Daphene swallowed and said,
"They are on their way here. Draco texted me saying that they would be here at 10:30." She looked at her phone it was 10:25 now. She got a text from Draco saying, 'we are here. Are we meeting in your office?' Daphene looked at Hermione and said, "Are you okay meeting with them in here since you have to sign off anyway?" Hermione nodded,
"Yes of course that will be fine." She was anxious to see Draco again it had been 2 years since they had seen each other. They had become really close during 7th year. They spent all of their time together. He had watched her like a hawk. Daphene texted Draco back saying, ' Actually we are meeting on Hermione's office.'

Draco saw the thought bubbles meaning that Daphene was texting him back. He stared at his phone when the message popped up. He turned to show it to Blaise. Blaise's eye lit up and he said,
"Are you going to be able to control your Veela. You barely made it though 7th year mate?" Draco swallowed and said,
" Thanks for the concern mate but I will be fine. After all I am pretty sure she is dating Weasley." They went the elevators and went up to her office.

Hermione suddenly realized she had to pee again. She excused her self from Daphne and walked down the hall to the bathroom. Hermione finished washing her hands and left the bathroom. As she left she was forcibly pushed again the wall and was being kissed. She turned her head just in time. She realized who it was.
"Ron get off me and why does your breath smell like alcohol?" She pushed him back.
"I love you Hermione and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He leaned into kiss her again.
"Ron I said get off me!" Just then the elevator doors opened.

Just before they arrived at the floor with Hermione's office, Draco tensed up. Upon seeing this Blaise put a hand on his best friend's shoulder and said,
" What's wrong mate?" Without breaking his stare on the doors said,
"Something is wrong. She is not okay!" Blaise swallowed and stepped back. Just then the doors of the elevator opened.
